Yes ok there's an article but the decisions on Monday. this is just hearsay bud.
More info. it is the only option if they are contacting the clubs. The fact the courts have backed them there is only one outcome!
Celtic will not be expelled from the Europa League, even if play-off opponents Sion are reinstated in the competition.
Uefa will contact the clubs in Group I next week to outline provisional plans should the Swiss side be successful in their appeal against expulsion.
But the removal of the Parkhead side will not be considered as an option.
A five team group, with Sion added to the line-up, appears to be the more likely outcome.
The Swiss Cup champions defeated Celtic 3-1 on aggregate when they met in August, but were judged by Uefa to have fielded ineligible players.
Celtic took Sion's place in Group I and have already played games against Atletico Madrid and Udinese.
The Swiss side were expelled from the tournament and an initial appeal against the decision was rejected.
In a statement on their website Uefa have outlined their desire for accelerated action in the case, via the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
"It seems that FC Sion has repeatedly attempted to obstruct justice and, as quoted by the CAS decision of yesterday, has engaged in a "clear abuse of procedures", to delay or postpone a decision on the merits of the case," the statement said.
"This is obviously detrimental to the smooth running of the competition and also has a negative impact on the other clubs participating in the group, for whom FC Sion has no apparent respect."
Why dont us lot stay on your own site and cry about the taxman coming VERY SOON LOL...
Heard that's what will happen if Court of Arbitration for Sport rules in Sions favour. Will mean an extra home gate too for us so not worried as long as it goes towards buying a decent Central Defender. I'd play the development squad in Europe this season, give them games, experience and the first team can focus on not giving away points in the league
Ed dont you think Uefa have shot theirselves in the foot with this one. Not remember 2 years ago they warned clubs they could be banned if fielding ineligible players, now, if it happens and Sion get back into Europe its a total contradiction
Ps great site Ed
Richy {Ed007's Note - Thanks Richy. The complete situation is a shambles. Sion broke the rules and are trying to bully UEFA through legal means. If they can't abide by rules then they should go and see if they can join another federation. UEFA are 100% right for the simple reason that they are the governing body, their rules and regulations are there for everyone to see and Sion agreed to them as a member of the Swiss FA then broke them.}
Well sky sports news are discussin it and it looks as if sion are goin 2 be thrown bak in i just missed what they were puttin on there screen but fink a heard that an extra 2 games r on the cards dont believe me just keep watchin spn and they will talk about it again,stef1967.
