ed can you tell me on the 17th jan (this thursday) can i take my 5 friends season tickets to ticket office to purchase 10 tickets for juventus game as they cannot make it due to work . ? i know its 2 tickets per season ticket just wondering if you can find out for me ! :)

thanks {Ed007's Note - I don't see why not. Wouldn't it be three tickets per ST? You are allowed an extra two.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Yeah sry that's what i mean my 5 mates all have there's ST juve ones and wanting 10 more, 2 per ST, so i am going in and cuing at 5am :D no joke !
with the 5 ST and 500cash :D {Ed007's Note - It should be fine then, you're not doing anything wrong unless you are selling them for more than face value.}

Agree0 Disagree0

They are telling the suppoters clubs that its 2 tickets per person regardless of how many ST you have . This made our members very angry as we bought an extra 20, 3 match packages . We were told if you went in with 30 ST you would NOT be getting 60 tickets .

CelticMatt

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed i don't know if i've got my maths all wrong here but if each season ticket holder is allowed another 2 tickets each then where's everyone going to sit ?? For that to work we must only have 20'000 season ticket holders

Gary

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a first come first serve basis, you are only allowed 6 tickets per costumer regardless of how many season tickets you have.
CoatbridgeBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I got an email today about it and it says Please note, there will be a limit of six tickets per visit made to the Ticket Office and website, or per call to the booking line - i.e. you can only buy for three season ticket holders in one transaction.

Just noticed on Sly that Ryan Frazer of Aberdeen could be on his way to Bournemouth. Surely that's someone we should be looking at. Good young Scottish talent. What do you think ed and anyone else?

Daz the Hoopy {Ed007's Note - Is he better than the young players we have Daz?}

Believable5 Unbelievable6

He looks a player and he's only going to get better with the level of coaching he would get up at Lennoxtown. He's the type of player the club have been trying to get. A rough diamond then smoothing them out.

Daz the Hoopy

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know what all the fuss is about? I think he has yet to play a full 90 for the dons? Silly move by the boy - should stay at Aberdeen longer to develop but taken some bad advice to move. There's a track history with young players from the Dons - they leave and are never heard of again. But back to the original post - don't see the boy improving Celtics squad so let him move to Bournemouth. Steveomac

Ed, have seen the name Marko Scepovic linked with us on a few sites this morning. You have any news on him?

Terrible Beauty {Ed007's Note - Sorry it took so long to answer TB, I have been waiting on someone getting back to me all day. I don't know where it has come from or whether there is any truth in it, sorry mate. If I hear back anything about him I will let you guys know.
But wasn't that the name of the player who scored against us when Partizan Belgrade put us out of Europe and Dziekanowski scored four goals??}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Good young player ed it was his father sladen who played also for partizan

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, it was this lads Dad who scored.

TerribleBeauty

Thats a relief considering we got rid of Dziekanowski 22 year ago come to think of it is he still floating about the savoy ?? lol

I have heard alot about this Tom Rogic we are after the now. Does anyone actually know how good this kid can be. I watched him on youtube and he looks the part but most players can look good on youtube. Also I was watching Brondby play the other week there and there big striker Simon Makienok Christoffersen looked really good. He's about 6'6 I think and looked the part. Heard much about this guy ed.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

He's pretty good mate. Training at Lennoxtown will bring out the best in him. He'll love it at Celtic. I'm just hoping Rojas follows.

Had this debate with my brother- in what order would you rank Celtic's strikers in terms of ability?

For me:

1.Hooper 2.Samaras 3.Watt 4.Lassad 5.Stokes 6.Bangura 7.Miku

G93

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Prob agree with you on current form, however I was impressed with Bangura tonight. Defo seen some positives in his performance tonight especially his work rate. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

Miku our worst striker in terms of ability? Nonsense. He hasn't settled and may not have the stomoch for our game but you can't question his ability. He scored twice in the Bernabau last season, players with little ability don't achieve that

LM67

Agree0 Disagree0

Sammy no 1 for me. Takes defenders out of the game, has pace, height and is a little more willing to pass than he was a few years ago. Hooper at two, and Watt at three, just on potential.

Melb Bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the order of the OP but i would like to see miku and stokes moved on

Celticthomas

Agree1 Disagree1

Youve just opened a can off worms with that question 1.hooper 2.samaras 3.watt 4.miku 5.stokes 6.lassad 7.bangura

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper, samaras, stokes, watt, miku, bangura, lassad

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Jan 2013 20:34:27
Was it just me or did Bangura look a lot sharper
Since we last seen him? I know it was only a
Training match but I definitely seen him in
A different light tonight. I think the squad is looking
Healthy & with players coming back from injury and new
Additions on their way I think we are looking in good condition. Ian L

Believable7 Unbelievable2

It wasn't just you. You both looked a lot sharper.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. Took his goal well and his all round game looked better. Hope he gets a good run of games under his belt and then judge him in the summer. Won't be the first or the last player to take a bit of time to settle in.

Daz the Hoopy

Agree0 Disagree0

Got a real soft spot for Mo just can't see where he could possibly ever fit into the team :o( dd

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the fact he's fit now and scored tonight it will take a bit of pressure of him. Liked his work-rate tonight, think there is hope for him. Ian L

Agree0 Disagree0

I though his header was a cracker. I can assure you none of our other striker would have scored that. Maybe he can bring some much needed aerial prowess to the side. He's not tall but if he can get a decent leap about him it would help his cause. I was chuffed for him to be honest. He didn't do much in the first half, but then he hardly got any service as everyone else was posted missing aswell. As for the second half he was much better and I thought you could clearly see a spring in his step after he scored and his work rate was excellent. He tracked back and covered, even to win back possession a few times. It was just a friendly, but to Bangura it will mean a lot more and hopefully it could be the real start to his Celtic career.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barry the janny

totally agree, think the bhoy played well & took his goal really well, hope it gives him a boost in confidence

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think you can read too much into a 'Bounce Game' as you could take the opposite view with some of our regulars - who were way off the boil.
It would be good to see him in a few SPL games to build on his confident display, but there is plenty competition with Hooper, Sammy, Stokes, Watt and Lassad which is good for the team.
I would say that Commons is in my view, one of our most skill-full and important players and should start as many games as possible when we resume.

Watched the game tonight, pretty full affair as to be expected, good to see Mo get on the scoresheet though, pleased for the lad.

Anyway, has anyone heard what's happening with Miku? Lad never really got a chance/had a chance. Never deserved the 7 jersey, that was a joke!

Believable2 Unbelievable2

See anyone that keeps doubting Miku...i haven't got a clue why man.
The guys been labelled a reject and a dud but see tbh we have hardly seen anything!
He might still be getting there with our culture but a thought he was great against benfica and barca, I think the lad just needs a run of games in the team to get upto speed and I think he will score goals.
Big John hartson went 14 games without scoring at one point, a 6m signing at the time so it comes to even the best of strikers.
We di have alot of forwards but I would personally have, (Hooper, stokes, samaras out left, lassad miku)

I don't know if it's just me guys, I've heard so many say stokes is an spl player. Imo we need an spl player, some of our squad are only interested in the champions league, so in that sense he is valuable to us, as we cannot take the title for granted. He has saved us before and has a good scoring record. I think he deserves a chance before bangurra as stokes has proved himself.

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Now that there is less pressure in the league without the unwashed, really think we should let Bangura get a few games strung together. Lets be honest, we will win the league but this guy won't get anywhere without games. We have enough quality to 'cover' him if games are slipping away but I say give him 5-8 games on the bounce for say first 60 mins. He may surprise us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its no coincidence that Celtics goals for and Hoopers league form has dipped since Stokes injury ...Hope he gets his chance again ....Some people getting too wrapped up in what the MSM think ....TTTS

Agree1 Disagree0

If you guys watched the game today you will see his problem. That is he had a great chance to pass the ball to 2 players in the box when we had out numbered them and he decides to shoot from a bad angle and 80 feet over the bar no where near the net. Only a friendly yes but he has done this a lot and what is the problem in his game for what if he always goes for glory instead of a garenteed goal and costs us a cup? Or cl game? Would you still like him, good player but too selfish and complains too much

Agree0 Disagree0

I will always respect this guy! For the 1 fact he saved neil lennon his job!! Ive got my strong nationalist views and so has he! I feel succulent lamb mob has bounced on the fact that he has family friends in an so called organisation! And made a mountain out of a mole hill, for me stokes can score goals no current has the ability to!! Ideal replacement for hooper !! Imho! Hail hail botjuve! Jamieb

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldnt agree more mate, stokes is a 20 goals a season striker and he brings the best out in hooper. He could get 10 invaluable goals before the end of the season for us to ensure the title, he has to be played before Bangura, Lassad and miku IMO.

Believable3 Unbelievable9

The rumours keep getting better we won't have a team left if foster Matthews iza hooper kayal samaras wanyama who have all been linked with moves in January people with to much time on there hands as lawell said we've had on inquiry about a player this window

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen mate, if the right offer comes in they will be off. Wanyama anything over 15 million, Hooper anything over 7, Forster anything over 7 also. It would be great business by Celtic. And we will go looking for the next batch.

Just had a look at a striker called Jeremy perbet! Plays in the Belgian league and has a good goals scoring recorded ed do you know much about him? Wouldn't mind someone with that record at CP {Ed007's Note - I really don't know much about him except that Leicester tried to sign him last January, sorry.}

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Suspect he might be a wee bit old for us to look at him. (Wrongly IMO, ) celtic seem to only be looking at young up-and-coming players. Perbet is French (hence him being uncapped) and has played most of his football in lower leagues (France - Belgium). His record for Mons is good though, although a lot of the goals were scored in Div2 in belgium, as Mons got promoted last year. I agree fully on 1 thing though - Belgian League is definitely where we should be looking at players. To play in belgium you have to be technically decent (v few hoofballers) and players are normally strong, athletic, and have often been scouted from far-flung places themselves (eg: Wanyama) before being tested out in a stronger league (ie Belgian League).

Norwich fan here.
Firstly, I think we should be playing a friendly every pre-season.
Secondly, I can't see Hooper coming to us this month. The oppotunity to play Juve is too good to pass up! Rumour has it he does want to leave for the Prem soon though, and I'm not sure he will go straight into a top 6 club. So I'm hoping he will choose us over the likes of Stoke, Villa or Fulham. I think 7mill + a 40% sell on would be fair......
I cannot wait for the Celtic v Juve games! All the best!

Agree1 Disagree0

CanaryBhoyTom don't pay any notice to the d*ck with the first reply. As always you canary bhoys views and posts are welcome on here. And i can assure you, that deal you quoted would be more than fair. And to the guy above who can't be watching the same player as me, seriously how much do you over rate Hooper? Southampton bid 5.5 million with no add-ons like the guy suggested and that was while he was enjoying his best form for Celtic. If a bid of anything over 5.5 million come in for him today, he would be sold, now he has made his stance clear over not signing a contract. The deal the OP is suggesting of 7 million plus a 40% sell on is a great deal, and i can promise you, we won't get that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apologies to CBT. The impolite clown did not leave a name so treat the post with the contempt it deserves. Unfortunately we seem to have a few like him. To the un named guy, we Celtic fans treat other fans with respect, go to the dark side if that is your attitude.
One last thing Canaryboy with a name like that you should be "tweeting on twitter" lol hope Norwich have a good second half of season Timalloy.

Agree0 Disagree0

No worries chaps, every club has a few clowns! I don't think Holt would want to move up to Glasgow, although he would suit the Scottish game superbly. He is settled, his kids have just started going to school and he is in his 30s now. Holt and Hooper together would be a cracking partnership! Another rumour I have heard is Steve Morison to you guys. Ed I don't see the big deal about hooper if he says he wants to leave at the end of the season he is average at best very good spl player but there's been plenty of them I wold try get 6 million for him in this window there's plenty of better strikers out there that Celtic could replace him with they way fans are talking about hooper you would think that he was world class he ain't he is lazy and I think overweight i would take a punt on cisse from QPR to replace him any fans got other suggestions to replace the very average hooper

Believable7 Unbelievable12

Why replace a young talent with an ageing star. hooper is a proven scorer and ca. score in europe and that's why clubs are looking at him. tbh you don't sound like a fan

Agree0 Disagree0

I am a Celtic fan I'm just saying that hooper ain't irreplaceable he has been good for us but I'm just saying that we could attract better players than hooper to park head for the transfer fee we would get for him when he does go

Agree0 Disagree0

Hooper is replaceable, he has a good SPL pedigree and an excellent all round player, however people forget that he has great players around him, and without having these players around him he would be an average striker at best, if he goes to the likes of QPR, Norwich, Southampton he will fade out the game and end up playing for a championship side, Hooper needs to think big, he needs a move to the top 6-8 clubs in the EPL, the rest would be a backward move and damaging move to his career, he is still a young man and he should in my opinion sign a 2 yr extension with a min release clause of say 9 mill in his contract if any of the bigger teams come calling, the same with Wanyama he should think before he acts, a 2 yr extension with release clause if one of the big teams come calling, players these days are to quick to move to the EPL, and then disappear, still if these players want to go, sell them now before close of transfer window, and bring players in that want to play for the club

Agree0 Disagree0

He gets a lot of goals and with the current lot of strikers we have at the moment I would be very disappointed to see Hooper leave. There's nobody else we can rely on to get goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

THINK ! ..the reason Hooper would want to leave is that he's on 15k a week currently and Celtic only offered 20k apparantly....a mid table prem side would atleast double his wages so to think he will stay when 3 other players on atleast 7-10k more than him is laughable............also Cisse would want 40k+ a weeK so dream on Celtic if you want proven prem stars....keep nurturing the youth and picking up bargains like Hooper .
DgJ

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person who wrote ........"however people forget that he has great players around him, and without having these players around him he would be an average striker at best".....I don't recall great players being at his old club? IMO there are 2 great players at best... Forest and wanyama and you can't really call them GREAT players, they've not achieved anything in the game

florent malouda currently rotting away in chelsea under 21's after a falling out when he turned down a move away last summer, told to stay away from first team and wasn't included in champs league group stage squad. worth a shout for a loan spell ? left winger which we need and good experience for champs league last 16. wages may be a problem though.

I personally think he is rank rotten. Think he would be a total waste of money and think the minimum 600k-1m wages for the 6 months would be better invested in some of the young players we have been linked with.

No we have gave to many players there last pay day Celtic are all about young players to develope and sell on for a big profit which is the way to go these days if you play in a smaller league
