I dont actually think its the worst idea i've ever heard. 34 i know but give him a deal to the end of the season and see if he does the business, he'll bring some much needed experience, and he's a big lump of a boy but also a good footballer as well would need to suss out if he is fit and motivated enough though, but thats one for lenny and thommo.

He was in a pub the other night boasting he was going to Rangers and claiming how much he was gonna get paid etc despite it being absolute bull. He's not quite as bad as Joey Barton but still unfit to wear the Hoops

The point is NO-ONE knew these guys were going to be gems.
I personally think Jason Roberts is not a bad shout (on a short term deal).
And if a club comes in with cash for Samaras I'd take it, yes he's playing well just now, but how many times have we said this about him?

Neil Lennon and John Park couldn't have imagined in their wildest dreams that ALL those players would have had the impact they have had. I'm as delighted as the next Celtic fan that they have. But the bottom line is before these players had played the VAST majority of fans were like "...who?...". So if Lennon signs Roberts then he must be a gem too... cos Lennon can spot a gem eh?

Every signing is a gamble mate, and so far Lenny has done brilliantly.

Look mate I'm not getting into an argument with you. Every signing made by every manager at every club is a gamble, some are more of a gamble than others. For every signing that has come good there is another that hasn't. That is what happens I'm afraid.
Also, any chance you could use some punctuation in your posts bud? It's really hard to read 15 lines with no full stops. Cheers.

Alright Ed, First time postibg! James Vardy arrived in Glasgow tonight, he posted it on his own twitter (@vardy7), never seen him play but I think 1mil is over the top for a non-league player despite his recod! Any thoughts bhoys? {Ed007's Note - The whole Fleetwood Town team are in Glasgow for a training camp. The price is just like any player, the club name their price and if someone will pay it, that's the price. Wolves are keen on Vardy and willing to match the asking price.}

For a none league team to be demanding a million for a player is just mental! I read they'd already knocked back a bid of 500k crazy stuff

Ed...any truth in the rumour that we might slip in for Sandaza while the Greyskullers try and get a kitty together to buy their morning biscuits? I've heard it from 2 sources but their reliability is nothing special. Is he someone you believe could give us something different?

Is there any more on the prospect of signing Hamdi Salihi? I think he would be a steal at £500,000, also he's willing to come. Plus NL said if he was gonna buy someone they'd have to be experienced and he is, it'd be difficult to find someone with the same credentials for that sorta price...

And he can score headers too, which is something Lenny said he wanted in a player.

Hearing from someone at inverness we are interested in Hayes as backup. Do you know if there is any truth in this ed? {Ed007's Note - I think we will continue to use local kids as ballboys/girls.}

Ed correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a UEFA rule where you can't sign for 3 clubs in one year? Sure I heard that if so this story is a non starter.

Doubt Lenny would let him go though when he has only just signed. I know Lustig will struggle to get Matthews out the side as the wee man is outstanding.

I agree we need one Ed let's hope the scouts have got a bargain up their sleeves as the money being mentioned for Baba Rhodes etc is way out of our budget. Just don't want us to panic and buy a dud or someone past it as lots of clubs do when the window is nearing an end.

CB not the worst, it depends on what your personal preference is and i think Maloney all be it a tad small and slow but good to have around the dressing room, like doing the guys legs with winter rub and Bannan just cause he's a fan.

Good link, some good stories. For me the guy is a nasty piece of work no doubt, comparing him with Keano get a grip eh. Keane was / is mental defo but wasn't a nasty guy in the way he would pick on kids! barton has been given so many chances by clubs it's ridiculous. Literally hate the guy.

Exactly correct Ed , this guy should never be allowed near our hoops . Too many supporters seem to forget we are the GREAT Glasgow Celtic and not Dignity fc . Our young group of players have more morals in their wee toe than this clown . If we are to sign an older player with more experience it has to be a total professional to help guide these bhoys to the title .

Get a grip man, none of his loan deals become permanent, that no give people a clue that the clubs he's been loaned to don't rate him, trust the managers judgement that he just isn't good enough for us
