He has said he will be back for next season, and I remember him saying when he went to hibs that he still has another year on his Celtic deal so do not think he can leave for nothing. Celtic would be very stupid if it is not activated. Personally, I would have him back in the team with Leigh, he does an awful lot as the second striker, just ask Gary Hooper.

Reread it sounds like he has a year with celtic having a years option after that.

Matty we don't need to ask Hooper, we can ask Hibs given they play two up top - and he hardly set the second tier alight. Hooper and Stokes best partnership was almost four seasons ago. It's time to let it go.

He's not good enough. He's had arguably one good season for us. He's also been guilty of off the field nonsense and isn't worth the hassle in my opinion.

He had true potential when he was young and pissed it up against the wall. Hardly a role model for younger players.

You just have to love the selective high moral standards from the usual crew. Across the board guys or not at all.

I think Stokes's time is over at Celtic for me he isn't good enough I would rather use the budget for his wages on a younger fitter better player which shouldn't be hard to do well I suppose that all depends on if lawwell and park are still identifying the players.

I don't know if your comment was directed at me TTTS but all I meant was he's not good enough for us and with his added baggage which he brings means that we shouldn't worry too much if he goes.

Ah shoot. I was hoping it was a piss take. I don't want Coyle anywhere near the job.

Hi PP. I was laughing at/ thought you were referring to Cultic - I thought it was a Freudian slip from Marco when thinking about Pistol Pete and Bankier! I don't want Coyle, Lennon or anything remotely similar. I even heard Lawwell say (when talking about potential managers) that they were going through the process of interviewing managers, which included the usual suspects, - surely to God that means it's actually dawned on him that It's a big world out there with loads of options. I was looking at the list for the Everton job, obviously only one's getting it, why should we not be offering one of the others the job. I mentioned guys like Rudi Garcia months ago, he was on around £2 million per year year at Roma, he's out a job and so are plenty others with a pedigree.

Delphic-

To be honest, I knew Marco meant Celtic. I was confused as he'd said they (celtic) hadn't been in touch with Coyle-so I didn't know if he was been funny and we should all be relived, or if it was a genuine typo and he meant to say had been in touch. To be fair to Marco, he cleared it up for me. It really was a genuine question my end.

I agree that there are some stellar names out there - and all it takes is a little ambition. I doubt they will though. I said before I wasn't hugely keen on Moyes or Rodgers - but one thing about them is the statement it would make, and I think we are all waiting for an appointment that does such a thing. I really feel like there is an apathy setting in and it's vital that the board get this right.

Keane and Lambert I get. I don't agree with them, but I get the "why".

Lennon and Mackay are so wrong (and I mean from a management POV - not the personal stfuff, which is another thing altogether) that the fact they are even being mentioned/ considered is alarming. Could the board be so far removed from the fans that they would believe we want either of them?
