green hornet

Believable9 Unbelievable3

McGeady may have played bad tonight but if he cam back hed be our best player so.........

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person above!lmao best player haha how about kayal, izzy, wanyama,hooper! All a lot better and consistent as well mcgeady had flair but was so inconsistent! Brian

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aiden is easily the best player to come out of PARADISE for many years, one off game for his adopted national team dosnt make him 'rank'

Agree0 Disagree0

Total cr@p, as far as I know he has 2yrs left and would cost 10m, which I dont think he's worth.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have just to call them the Newco
Oh the Newco are sh*te

Agree0 Disagree0

Mercy flush fc?:-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Mandzukic has 2 yr on his wolfsburg contract so wit u talkin about free

Hi Ed only my second post, never signed my last one but it was the one about hating on best lol! Could you list all the realistic players we are being linked with just so i have an idea of what to expect next season? Would be much appreciated :)

Also, do you think we should give Tony Watt plenty more starts next season? PaoloBhoy1888 {Ed007's Note - Welcome to the site Paolo. I think Tony Watt should get more chances but I wouldn't want to see him pressured into oblivion like we have seen with so many young players. As for players that I know contact has been made over, obviously Mills from Leicester and Jordan Rhodes, Andy Johnson's reps have said that CFC are interested in him as well. There has been contact regarding Leitch-Smith from Crewe and Markus Henriksen from Rosenborg. There was interest in Bjorn Bergmann Sigurdarson, but it looks as if Everton or Wolves will sign him. Other players we have been linked with to varying degrees are Maor Melikson, Odise Roshi, Remi Johansen, Jason Shackell, Yann Kermorgant, youngster Luke James. CFC also watched Matty Phillips from Blackpool on a regular basis last year. A lot will depend on who leaves the club.}

Best bit of business we did was sell McGready. He wanted the lime light and what do you know he can't handle it...

Chad

Believable10 Unbelievable9

Nah he didn't. We wanted and needed the money. I reckon he'd have stayed.

He was pish tonight but so was most of the Ireland team. Outclassed, but it's hardly anything to be ashamed of...Spain are holders for a reason.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chad a bit harsh there mate. I take it you are referring to his performance in the game tonight. Lets face it when AM is defending and putting in last gasp tackles on his 6 yard line in the first ten mins you can hardly blame him for not shining. He got next to no service and he did get a couple of very good crosses in. The whole Irish team were outclassed tonight by the best team in the world, so there is no shame in that. I have watched Aiden in the Russian league a half dozen times and he strikes me as being a gifted technical player as many of the Russians seem to be like this he fits in well. He is inconsistent but rarely does it last. Just look at his stats. I take it you just dont like the laddie. Sopot Celt

Agree0 Disagree0

Not so much dislike I've seen a few of his games. He has so much potential but is very inconsistent.

Chad

Agree0 Disagree0

Chad 'this bhoy is one of our own gave everything he had in a green n white hooped jersey and took all sorts of vile abuse for the country he played for! a real gem of a player and the main reason celtic have the players they have on the pitch now...he didnt ask to be a 9/10 million pound player but he was worth it!
hail hail
Chalkybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same McGeady that Zenit were linked with a bid over 20 million for last year? Everytime I have seen him in Russia he looks a much improved and a more finished article of a footballer than he ever did at Celtic.

CeltStu

Agree0 Disagree0

Harsh is not the word. I think going on the Euro games Keane, Given, Dunne, Whelan and Duff are all worse than McGeady.
In the Russian League he has been a revelation, lost his way after his child was born and spent a bit of time on the sidelines, other than that he has been great for the Moscow side.
I would take McGeady back in a heart beat, most gifted player at our club since Jinky!
I think he is more suited to the slower leagues though, Spain, Italy or at a push Germany where his burst of pace will hurt defences.
Dungannon Hoops

Agree0 Disagree0

He can't be that bad when Juve were looking at signing him 4 27m (Euros)

Richybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, posted about McGeady after the first game saying the same thing which was never put up, this was the platform for him to show why hes a 9m player. No doin his chances of a move any good, had really high hopes for him when he broke through, an i think if we are all honest, wed all agree that he has'ny progressed the way we thought he would. Best sale we ever made.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sopot celt? wouldnt be surprized if that was mcgeady himself! haha

Alright Ed if sly cancels the new deal do you think anyone else will put a package together or do you think streaming is the way foreward? Also i keep meaning to ask what did you do to your leg I seen the picture (ouch!) but never heard what happened.cheers

Briggs {Ed007's Note - I would think maybe Disneysports (ESPN) would be interested seeing they have lost EPL rights from season 2013/14 Briggs. I had an accident at work years ago and had metal pins etc put in my leg, the metalwork became infected and had to be removed about 18 months ago mate, it's just not been right since then.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Did the SPL not do a survey to set up their own telly channel? I'd get it and cancel sly sports in a minute. We'd get more than the nothing sly will offer

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers ed hope they get rid of Burley if it happens I can't stand the guy, you would think he was an ex rangers (rip) player the way he goes. Hope the leg gets better.

Briggs {Ed007's Note - Thanks mate. I agree with you about Burley, he is terrible.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed: I am sick to the back teeth of all this Sly whyte...let them take their contract, blackmailing our country and it's national sprot to protect a corrupt bigotted institution that is now defunct.
If they go what happens? the clubs will offer contracts within their budget to players, that, let's be honest are not worth what they are on at the moment, if they do not take the new contract then they get punted and a youth takes their place, resulting in our home grown talent coming through and being given a chance, give it a decade of this policy and we will have a league that is competative and the pedigree of the whole countries teams go up in stature....so Sly can threaten all they want, as for the old institution they are in the past, the rangers football club are less than 24 hours old, let them start in div 3 and see how they fair....the world will still keep turning, the sun will still rise and fall.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed, am I missing something here, if Rangers were religated then could sly cancel deal, or would they insist on Rangers being allowed to stay up?. Is this whole sly thing a red herring?

TheEssexHoops {Ed007's Note - The deal hasn't been signed yet mate. No TV deal can stipulate which teams are in a league.}

Agree0 Disagree0

ESPN have no reason to stay in Britain anymore, whose going want to watch hibs vs aberdeen etc every second week when Celtic are at home?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jun 2012 20:04:48
Ed, if the Sly TV deal is true, big if, bearing in mind the paper that reported it, to give them their coveted 4 OF games why dont we just play challenge matches against them. I'd love it and give us a few great days out skelping their behinds! Still dont see how any contract can have this clause in a leage set up where firstly we have relegation but secondly a 6 team split. Stevo {Ed007's Note - There has been murmurings about the Glasgow Cup being rebranded.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I think we should get all Celtic fans to boycot sly tv If these rumours are true and see how they get on then. And if other people at other clubs feel strongly about it they could do the same it's about time sky stopped running football.

Ed007

I was reading today that SLY will pull the deal if " The Rangers Football" don't get into the SPL.

What do you think would happen if ALL Celtic supporters and supporters of any other club who are sky subscribers were to cancel or at least threaten to cancel their contracts with SLY if they carried out their threat?.... Do you think they would possibly reconsider?

Hoopey67 {Ed007's Note - I would urge all football fans, not just CFC fans not to subscribe to SLY anyway.}

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Could be a good thing. get back to 3:00 kick-off's and get the crowds back

Agree0 Disagree0

Can I ask a question please? If 'The Rangers' didn't get into the SPL and Sly cancelled the tv deal, why would ALL fans want to cancel their subscription and what do you think it would achieve? I thought the point was the league could survive without rangers?

Agree0 Disagree0

I firmly believe the league could survive. It would show SLY that there is a lot of people who have absolutely no interest in Rangers. I do feel sorry for the gers fans however I am sick to death of hearing " we should just go to the 3rd division and show them" well off they should trot.

Hoopey67

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Ed...

Agree0 Disagree0

If just say a million Scottish supporters cancelled their Sly packages in protest at no Sly sports coverage even though Sly are a very wealthy company am pretty sure they would miss £60-£70m a month.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Jun 2012 19:36:31
Thanks for the reply Ed, more than likely him wanting a nice pay rise then, I think its best for him to stay with you for another year or two yet anyway, then we can see how he develops. I bet this sites been busy with the Rangers saga, all I will say is its bloody confusing! I'm just hoping the charitiesd, local buisnesses get paid what they're owed.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - I'm hoping he stays Smithy, he will be a fantastic player and CFC could get a massive fee for him if he keeps progressing the way he has, if he goes I hope there is a sell on clause.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

14 Jun 2012 19:16:35
Its more than likely to be crap but I will ask anyway, a couple of stories doing the rounds of Liverpool intrest in Wanyama Ed, have you heard anything? I can't see it myself, but we do need a back up DM. Perhaps a deal that could be done in the future.
JFT96
Smithy {Ed007's Note - As far as I know Smithy it is the player and his agent that are generating these stories, most likely looking to get a pay rise. There is no confirmed interest in him from anyone right now.}

has everyone renewed there season tickets..i for one am not till i find out what way we vote in the new co gettin into the spl...jc

Believable6 Unbelievable4

And if we vote for them to get back in but they lose the vote anyway will you renew?

MK BHOY

Agree0 Disagree0

I renewed my book as soon as it dropped threw the letter box so if you dont want to renew who cares the real celtic supporters will still be there cheering the bhoys on i coundn't give a toss about you or rankers so get a life and stop posting stupid comments . hail hail james bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we need to trust Mr Lawell on this one!!!!

Whatever he does I am very sure will be in the best interests of Celtic Football Club and WE ALL need to remember that.

Hoopey67

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't be so pathetic! which ever way celtic vote they will do so with the best interests of the club in mind! Renew and pick up your dummy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said James Bhoy

JollyGreenGiant

Agree0 Disagree0

If we vote for them to get back in i wont renew or support celtic again ..i dont forget the past and the present board should not. so i take it your happy with celtic voting to let a new co back in.we should bury them for good...jc

Agree0 Disagree0

Renew no matter what.. i have principles ..they have cheated us for years and cost us big time money.. the board sholud vote in favour of them not getting back into the spl end of...jc

Agree0 Disagree0

We are on the verge of something really great so I couldn't give a monkeys if a newco are there or not . Roll on the CL can't wait.......DH

Agree0 Disagree0

You call yourself a Celtic fan when you wont renew your season ticket over suhin thats happen with rankers.Do you know how stupid you sound, get a grip and renew your ticket like a real fan!
Conor67

Agree0 Disagree0

I wont be happy if we vote them back in.but my heart is at celtic and lets behind 2 in row.

Agree0 Disagree0

Me and my 2 bhoys as soon as the renewals hit the carpet hail hail

Agree0 Disagree0

I 100 percent agree with the 2nd post, who cares about the vote. I couldnt wait to renew my season ticket, its what being a true celtic supporter is all about, you go no matter what happens. sure you get fed up with decisions and things at the club outwith your powers but it pales into significance when your hero's do the business on the park and we win the league and beat the manky yins.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish i knew were your seat was mate, my wee brother is looking to get his first season book and if your seats any good i would go down to celtic park tomorrow and whip it right aff ye for him. Would be just about what you deserve for acting yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have renewed mine. Looking forward to watching Celtic win another SPL title in 2013. Hail Hail! 'Mon the Champions!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes renew who cares what happens with the vote true fans will support the club whatever
alsabhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

I renewed to watch Celtic and not who we may be playing

Agree0 Disagree0

Grow up, my 2 year old isn't that childish, if you support celtic you will re-new, if not celtic doesn't need fans like you, if they do get back in why not enjoy the skelping we will give them. johnbhoy79

Agree0 Disagree0

As the deadline has passed I sincerely hope your seat has gone. Holding your club to ransom over a decision which will be damaging either way is nothing short of self indulgent and childish. If Celtic is in your heart, supporting CELTIC is all you should care about. I'm well aware TRFC precedecors RFC* have cheated, however I'm also well aware that the game itself is at a crossroads. Don't kid yourself that this is all about helping them, clubs are looking at saving the game. I'd vote No to Newco but first and foremost I support Celtic, what happens there is what concerns me, not what happens to our rivals. Our board will look to our interests. I'm glad I don't have the responsiblity. Paul

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute joke, ur ment to be a Celtic fan support Celtic and don't care about any newcos! CL football next year!

Agree0 Disagree0

U should be a celtic fan regardless of what happens to them.i wont forget what they have done and want them punished but if they dont get what they deserve i wont be punishing my team.if you dont renew theres plenty that will-youll be back!

MK BHOY

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not Renewing it.... I have now bought a season ticket with my 2 mates (now that I can afford it and have saturdays off work.)

I don't care what happens with Rangers, I care about watching Celtic and supporting them. You should stop acting like a Rangers fan by looking for someway to be awkward and punish your club and others.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's that kind of bitterness, hatred and 'I remember the past' nonesense that gives football in Glasgow a bad name! Support your team regardless and let go of the bigotry!

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair do.s am renewin it the morro jc..lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Think the renewal deadlines been and gone, maybe a real celtic fan will get your seat this season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic 1st Celtic last Celtic overall. maccabhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Whether you like it or not the first poster has a point.Loads are not renewing -waiting for the vote

Agree0 Disagree0

I have renewed my ticket and got my old seat but wont be there if we vote for a new co i hate them more than i love the celtic sorry its the way i am ,,jc

Ed a question for you. Have sky actually made an official statement about what they will do if the team formally known as rangers go to div 3 as a newco? maccabhoy {Ed007's Note - No.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So as usual the tabloid press up here are trying to scare munger the other clubs fans into thinking that sky will automatically pull the plug on the deal if the newco go to div3. They might think it's better to keep the deal as a sign that sporting integrity comes before profit and the publicity that goes with keeping the deal. Truth is the only ppl that know is sky themselves.

Agree0 Disagree0

They dr referred to a sky insider today.probably drivel made up by james traynor.hes been greeting into his cornflakes since tuesday so hast been able to do any proper journalism.scaremongering us exactly what it is!

MK BHOY

Agree0 Disagree0

Daily Rancid came up with this ...Same story churned out ever time so called experts were ask about SPL without newco on radio snyde ...wouldnt reflect well with reputation of sty if they were twisting the arm of the SPL to allow newco admittion ... In saying that i doubt if sty worry to much about their rep or the SPL arm requires much twisting ....TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Until Sly actually come out and confirm this clause really exists, I wouldn't believe anything from the Pro-Rangers media. {Ed007's Note - I have questioned this clause since it has been mentioned, it would be match fixing. No TV can stipulate such things, it is against the rules of the worldwide game and how can you implement it in a league that uses a split system?}

Agree0 Disagree0

with ki injury whats the chance of him getting sold on ,ed

FozzY {Ed007's Note - The window doesn't close until 31st August.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Hope we dont wait too long ed.if we are going to sell one of our midfielders then i hope we get it done within the next few weeks so we have a chance of using it before the qualifiers

Can you confirm Ed007?
HH
/BB {Ed007's Note - No mate, Blackburn were always looking for a fee for him.}

Agree0 Disagree0

He's about 48 years old.... bit of an exageration admitedly...but i'm sure i heard that he's alot older than he's billed...besides that i dont rate him even more inconsistent than sammy

A think he'd do a decent job and for 1 mil not a bad price of business

Hi bhoys what would you think on Chris Sutton coming in to replace thommo mind you I'm sure what he is doing now

Matt23

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Defo no, John Collins for me, he will help with fitness, diets, guy would be perfect for Neil to have beside him, no more mates
Ska bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah sutton would b a good head to have around for sure i remember he quit lincoln as a manager for some form of private reason personal issues or something
he still ranks up there for saying his job was to "put rangers in their place"
im sure lennon willl choose the right guy if he chooses anyone at all
ParadiseAndy

Agree0 Disagree0

I think sutton is perfect but what is lubo up to these days.i think someonoe like him who was unbelievably technically gifted would help alot of the younger players in our squad.im sure he could improve certain aspects of their game. i still dont know what foot was his strongest! lol

MK BHOY

Agree0 Disagree0

Sutton is a good shout. But the one name I haven't seen mentioned yet is John Kennedy. He has done well with the young Celts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sutton would be great in there. And lubo does some scouting for us

Agree0 Disagree0

A definate no for john collins too full of himself wouldn,t get on with neil lennon

Agree0 Disagree0

Sutton, lubo, kennedy an of them would be welcomed by me and sell hooper for £8m and bring back the king as player/ coach {Ed007's Note - Few beers watching the game tonight mate ;-)

Ed what about Joe Jordan to fill Alan Thompson shoes.Great coach with lots of experience and could be out of a job soon.Do you think we could have a chance of getting him?
Conor67 {Ed007's Note - I doubt it Conor, he will probably just follow 'Arry.}

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Would imagine we would promote from within tbh the guys there already are up with the script and know the methods,players and the club overall.

STV is to broadcast a special one-hour Scotland Tonight programme to mark to unfolding of the previously known as Rangers crisis.

Rangers...The Downfall will be on tonight at 10.30pm

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Dont see it in the t.v listings mate can you enlighten me please. Im well keen seeing as i have kicked the arse out of watching "the men who sold the jerseys" on my sly plus. Never seems to get old, my missus is getting fed up with it though. {Ed007's Note - It was advertised last night, but you're right, it isn't on the listings......

Agree0 Disagree0

Living in England I don't get the chance to watch STV. Is there any way it can viewed?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think it will be just media spin saying how we all cannot do without them and it was everyone elses fault but theirs.

Agree0 Disagree0

10.40 according to STV site

Agree0 Disagree0

At the end of the day this is a Celtic page and we're here to talk about Celtic. Enough with the Rangers chat and let's focus on our own club while they suffer. Hail Hail 'Mon the Champions!

What next for Celtic? Any more rumours on the English League 1 deal?

Sparkbhoy {Ed007's Note - GJ is on holiday Sparky.}

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Sparkbhoy,

Celtic won't get anywhere near the English leagues.

TTG

Agree0 Disagree0

And rangers wont get anywhere near the SPL for another 3 years

Agree0 Disagree0

Am I right or is there no mechanism for a team or teams to move from one FA to another? I am sure it is against FIFA rules

Agree0 Disagree0

There are always anomalies (or precedents), Britains the only country in the world with four FAs (even a country the size of Brazil has only one). Monaco an independent state has a single team that plays in a league in a separate country, Welsh teams play outside their own FA...and the only excuse is thats how its always been {Ed007's Note - Britain isn't a country. Current FIFA statutes say that a club must be a member of the league where they are geographically based.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Ed you are so full of pi.h you plst your thoughts as fact and berate any bear who dares disagree with you. Eddie from Celtic Underground has said that he has it from a reliable source that Celtic and Rangers will be playing England within ONE YEAR. Could this be one of the reasons the TV deal for the premiership has increased by 70%??

Londonbhoy {Ed001's Note - nope, it was because BT had more money to put into their bids than previous years. So Sky had to increase their bids to beat them to the packages they wanted.}

Believable1 Unbelievable9

R*ngers no longer exist so why would they be invited to join the EPL?

Agree0 Disagree0

Londonbhoy...even I wouldn't believe a story like that and i'm quite gullible. There is no Rangers and they would not increase a TV deal by 70% for Celtic. Mrs E

There is however still a Berwick Rangers :)

14 Jun 2012 00:14:56
Just reading up on the 2013 EPL deal. 2 billion quid!! for 3 years. and that is only the UK rights! absolutley mentsl. Wotrth more than worldwice World Cup rights and the Olympics (although that is dross usually)

Here was me hoping the arse end would fall out of that overinflated tosh we get from down south! partly due to the economic times we live in and the fact that surley sanity would come into play at somepoint.

Suppose they wouldnt pay that money unless they thought they could make money from it. But between 14 mil and 18 mil permatch is just ridiculous money.

Christ scottish football cant even get 1% of that for 5 effing years. The gap is just going to get wider, egardless of what happens to rangers.

Sad thing is where does this money go? i mean look at your lower EPL clubs, they cannot run at a profit, where does the money go? wages, probably. But something is really amiss with english football. Where exactly does the money go? it certainly doesnt go on grassroots. Surley it all cannot simply be rediculous wages... I think UEFA have missed a trick with the Fair Financial malarkey. Salary caps should be introduced. IE cannot be more than 70 % of your income or such like and no greater than x amount a week. Make these money grabbing pussy footballers work for their money! Half of them rarely seem to! esp with the quality on show half the time in most matches, IMO of course.Evinguu

Believable5 Unbelievable3

Evinguu mate thanks for getting that off my chest! I absolutely seethe at both the outrageous salaries and the ever widening gap between north and south of the border. One way to deal with it is to do what sensible CFC fans do with the DR Just dont but the sports package from Sky/BT or whoever is controlling things. I know there are some good games that would be missed but I watch the Bundisleaga, the games are better and it cost me nowt. It also gives me a better appreciation of the game, tactics, different styles etc. So all in all I dont miss the EPL. I wish I could pick up some Nordic football although I occasionally drop into la Liga and Eredivisie. On a related but separate issue IMHO we have major problems in Scotland due to the lazy and inept business managers and leadership at most Scottish clubs. Apart from some very rare and welcome exceptions (I also think CFC could do more in this regard) these guys just dont do anything to increase their fan base and attendances. Sopot Celt

Agree0 Disagree0

It's absolutely an obscene amount of money just to televise football; like you I was of the opinion they would burn themselves out in this financial climate with greed contributing to the melt-down.
However, they seem to be more powerfull
with more than a little help from non - English subscribers who subsidise this.
Scots like myself included - who are in all honesty, cutting off our noses etc to view a very tiny percent of programmes aimed at Scots Sport/Football; while we pay the same fees as down south for all-things-English with blazen bias.
Plus the talking anus - Jim Whyte...
If my good lady had not got Sly as a gift for me, I would get shot pronto....Don't tell her I said that, she's a BIG WUMAN!

Jungle Jim

Agree0 Disagree0

Sopot- What would you do to increase attendances and increase our fan base?

We have fans all over the world and when we play pre-season games abroad this is highlighted and yes our attendances are not as high since MON era but they are returning.

Not sure what you are on!!

Richybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Correction, 3 billion all in, 2 is just slys involvement.

Sopot Celt - It is outrageous utterly so. Sad state of affairs though is sly and BT feel they are getting value for money and scope for profit.

1 game in the EPL is worth an entire season of SPL with the deal we may or may not have. Are you trying to tell me that it is worthwhile paying 16 mil for Wigan vs Bolton is better than the games from the past between Celtic and Rangers ? or even bloody Hearts and Hibs! as we wont have derbys anymore..but these were/are a much bigger draw imo.

The wages on offer are unreal. Are man City fans really getting value for money with players like Balotelli on 120k or so a week... is that value? well maybe balotelli is cos he is a nut job, but he is pretty overrated. Same goes for a lot of other players. But then again we do not have a wealth of riches in terms of players like we did 10 years ago. I would say overall the quality has gone down in more areas than it has gone up (accross the board of course there are exceptions)

Anyways back on point. I try to watch a fair bit of football. generally its just scottish football i will watch but i do like german and spanish when im in a footballey mood.... Not through sky (anymore) through the wonderful world of online streaming.... The more Sky etc put prices up for subscription the more will be driven away to watch their sports channels online ( usually using their bloody broadband provision which is kinda sweet lol)

That is the future of football if they dont start lowering the cost to fans and the tv companies ( well all companies) stop concentrating on profit and just providing a fantastic product to all. Business in general should do this. Profits will come if the product is right. But sadly profits come when it is the only choice in town.

The bubble will burst but maybe not as soon as some of us hoped..

Christ im in a right ranty mood the day now... whats next hmmmm

Can you bhoys not get SPL matches streamed on the old laptop ?
I don't bother with Sly at all. I never have and never would.
But the problem down here now is the footy has all gone soopa trendy and it's a barsteward to get into PL matches if you're not a season ticket holder.
I got quoted well over a 100 notes by a lad selling tickets outside of Norwich v Liverpool.
The Real KB

{Ed007's Note - For legal reasons I can't recommend any particular sites to stream matches but:

1. Install the browser Google Chrome.

2. Look in the top right (your right) corner and you will see a spanner.

3. Click on the spanner and select 'tools'.

4. Click on extensions

5. At the bottom right (as you look at it) you will see 'Get More Extensions >>'. Select this.

6. In the search box type 'Chrome Live Football' and search.

7. Click on Chrome Live Football and then click on install. (it may download to a holding file in the bottom left as you look at it, in which case as soon as it's finished click there, but mostly it will install itself)

8. A small football will then appear in the top right (as you look at it). Click on that, select 'live stream' and reset the clock to GMT and it will list all the live games available all over europe and other places.

You may occasionally need to install other programmes or the link you pick will only work on Explorer (in which case cut and paste the URL into Explorer), but you will always get every EPL match (or any other). Sometimes you will only be able to find it with foreign commentary and sometimes you will get it in English. You'll get about thirty links and you may have to look through a lot of them to get what you want. You will also get most La Liga matches, Greek matches, Italian matches and French matches as well as top matches from South America.

Someone also asked about viruses etc. Google Chrome is actually far more secure than Internet Explorer so the risks are considerably less, but you should have decent virus/spyware programmes and run sweeps regularly as a matter of course.

The quality will also depend on the speed of your internet connection. If you have super-speed and have a modern HD TV, consider connecting your PC to the TV via the PC socket on the side/ back.

Cut and paste the above into a document and save it for future reference.

Nice points Evinguu. Please rant away I am enjoying it immensely.
Richybhoy I am old school, as such I dont respond to such impolite questioning and the implication that my mental faculties are not reliable. In any case I generally charge 100 USD per hour (net) for consultancy. Sorry to disappoint. Sopot Celt

I will say one thing in defence of the PL television deal ; that they divvy the money out fairly equitably to all the clubs.
Not like Spain for instance.
But, on the downside to that, you've got clowns now arguing that Reading are a bigger club than Celtic cos they've got a few quid in the bank. Lol, had to laugh when I saw that the other day Ed.
But it's a sad state that people can even think that.
Do you think this tele deal will stave off the breakaway European league that's occasionally raised ?
The Real KB {Ed007's Note - I couldn't believe that Reading argument KB!! And from a Newcastle fan?? That should put the breakaway league to bed for a few years anyway, unless other European teams make moves.}

The real KB, not seen you on here in a while, hello.

Every Celtic game i have had to watch somewhere I have been able to find online. The hardest ones to get usually are if we are playing european qualifiers they are a right bugger and you may need to make do with radio sometimes. Which is a pretty sad state of affairs. Especially if its the europa league, Fulham and stoke would get shown on telly before us! its a bloody joke!

Its the same for rangers games ( mostly) but any other SPL club you aint gonna see them unless they are playing us or them or they get to semis of cup competition generally very few games get broadcast. Unless you go to the game of course.

Its a sad state of affairs. But Ed that Google Chrome thing is very good normally.

Well maybe I am one of the sad bhoys in town, but I have my CelticTV Premier account (179.99 quid a yr) to see the hoops playing in SPL. For others it is decided on a match by match basis between the club and TV companies. I do live abroad though and qualify for the premier account.....
As for EPL I cant be bothered with it as it full of premadonna's who canty hack it in Italy or Spain ;)
