We must now push on from a position of
strength.
Get rid of some reserves who are not playing and buy another Centre Half and a Centre Forward if the Pole is not good enough.
5 or 6 leaving would generate the money to buy
and pay their wages. {Ed007's Note - The transfer window is closed, we will need to wait until the summer, and we already have a CB arriving then.}

Believable1 Unbelievable5

We dont know how good brozek is, he isn't match fit so we will see how it goes till the end of the season. Central defender arrives in the summer on pre contract but we need to get rid of a few players. Maybe a big striker in the summer will be all we need. The young guys are getting better and more experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the Pole is not good enough?
Give him a chance for gods sake.

Ed

hearing a wee rumour that they cant cover this months salaries due to be paid on thursday
surely not ?
another 10 point deduction lol

Lubo25 {Ed007's Note - That could be possible, Rangers players have contacted the PFA already:

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Radio Clyde suggested that wages would not be paid. Tough for the people who are relying on their wages but they (RFC) deserve everything they get and more

Agree0 Disagree0

Can see a few leaving soon and more points being deducted.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was in the paper the big names spoke to the pfa to try and make sure the youth players would still have a club even if that ment they would have to leave

Lubo25

Agree0 Disagree0

I've not seen the programme but at last someone shows a broken crest. Might be a little thing but that has been bugging me. We can lose a couple o pre season games and it's broken crests on the back pages. They are in admin before it happens. Scottish media think they are being trailblazers here but we've been predicting this for months and this is the first sign of a broken crest.absolute joke. Rant over. Just been to see noel Gallagher so all good.

hi ed, what happens now with the beasties tickets for there away games surly now with them being in admin no club is going to be stupid enough to give them there allocation or will the home club sell the tickets directly to the beasties support knowing that will be the only way they will be guaranteed there cash {Ed007's Note - The club will probably ask for the money upfront for away tickets.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

14 Feb 2012 21:59:03
Ed surely if cousin is not registered with spl then it can not be completed, the line has to be drawn in the sand, surely..thoughts ? {Ed007's Note - All I know is a meeting will be held, he signed in time but it seems he wasn't registered. If true the deal will likely be void.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Just keeps getting better.......happy days, thanks ed! {Ed007's Note - You're welcome.}

I can't see the administrators allowing a new signing (more financial outlay) with no resale value due to his deal finishing at the end of the season.

Word coming out now is that season tickets are null and void. Supporters to pay at gate. The same as when virgin went into administration and any vouchers tht were issued could no longer be used. tough times to be a bear.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Just heard it

Agree0 Disagree0

Shocking if true, although I have my doubts. I'm sure I read somewhere that the tickets are still valid but hey depends on what the administrator says.

As much as it's banter to speculate, and have a sly giggle about their misfortunes and likelihood decline on the park, the fans have a right to see what they paid for. They're not guaranteed "a show", but at the very least they should be guaranteed the fixtures.

Unless there's a refund; or say a deal where fans were moved where matches didn't sell out (in order to close stands etc. and save money), Rangers' directors should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

I am no financial whizz-kid but surely running at a small loss is not a bad idea. You dont pay tax on turnover only profit. No profit= no tax. Why would CFC be eager to pay off all debt and then have to pay tax on any profits. Better to have our assets on the field where we can profit as a club and as supporters keen on success. ed is it possible that white has hidden away all the season ticket money and jellyfish fee and whatever else he can sell and hid the money in one of his other company s to use when rangers come out of admin and if so is that not illegal , i mean its not as if he has spent any of the money he got from ticket master or everton so is the money not retrievable , fab1 {Ed007's Note - No.That could result in criminal prosecution. Where the money has went is a question only Whyte can answer, running costs for the club??}

Why are MP's writing to the treasury and requesting that Rangers debt to HMRC should be dealt with fairly by the government in the best interests of the club? Source BBC

From the sounds of this most recent fiasco they have not been paying over the PAYE and NIC from the wages paid SINCE Whyte took over. Thats just my opinion from what i am reading, i obviously dont know for sure, but that, if true is an absolute disgrace. That, if it happened, is theft.

What about the other businesses that deal with the shame, where is the clamour to have money available to repay honest business men and women?

Mr Whyte was playing poker with HMRC today and tried to make a fool of them today.he is sitting with ace high and they have three 7's. they will finish him into liquidation within the next month as they will never take a pence in the pound deal of him.he knows that HMRC have won the case and he will walk away with a tidy profit and not give a dam about liquidation.

Seriously if whyte doesn't go to jail I'm looking into how you can get away with unpaid debts with a view to doing it myself in the future.
Jaba the hut

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Btw I think Whyte has a few more tricks to come. I also rekon he knows fully what he is doing and will have that lot back to normal ways by next year with money to spend. What do you think Ed? {Ed007's Note - I think it could take a bit longer than that, but Whyte has done exactly what he said he was going to do. Taking Rangers into administration was always his plan.}

Maybe a note in the record books etc.}

ED007 got my serious head on again. Can you help out with this question. How were Rangers allowed to sign Cousin then 2 hours later file for Administration?
Again another arrogant example of bending the rules surely? Timalloy {Ed007's Note - They technically done nothing wrong, the deal was done.}

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Come on its only cousin whats he gony do apart from not get paid like the rest of them.

Paddy

Agree0 Disagree0

What I can't understand is why they done it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because they did it before administration numbnuts..Nivbear.

Agree0 Disagree0

End up sacking half their team anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's most likely a desperation signing anyway. For all we know Whyte and Ally would've had a gentleman's agreement in place whereby Ally could still sign players on free transfers if the wages are right, but that Whyte would inform Ally if admin was going to take place within a week so he'd only have so long to choose.

Would've just wanted to push the signing of a striker through and they picked Cousin as he's got a history at the club and he's free.

IMO he also fits the profile of a cheap signing that will stick around long term and make up numbers on the field if need be. At 35 no-one is going to want to sign him, and he'd most likely want to stick around and prolong his career especially at a club of Rangers' size.

Ed, if rangers can't afford the policing for Saturdays game and the game can't go ahead, would that be classed as failing to fulfill their fixtures and be punishable?

Mikey Bhoy {Ed007's Note - They could play it behind closed doors.}

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Can Killie reject the option to play behind closed doors or would that then make them punishable? {Ed007's Note - Not if the SPL ordered it on police advice I wouldn't think so.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely they would have to re-imburse fans then from there season ticket and travelling supporters? {Ed007's Note - I would imagine that would be an issue as well.}

Is this the "people" who wouldnt even take the trip to Ibrox for the cup game against dundee utd? the "people" who wont put their money into the club they "support" (clearly from their armchairs) when it needs it the most? The "people" who only give a toss about the glory days and 1st sign of hardship decide they have better things to spend their money on? My erse. Have a word with yourself. ! I DONT want to see them collapse as quite frankly enjoy the old firm games but "remember we are the people" try telling that to your saviour, the man with the warchest Mr Whyte. Rangers will be in administration by the end of today.

At a court hearing in Edinburgh, the club has been given until 3.30pm to appoint an administrator - otherwise one will be appointed by the court.

Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs ( HMRC) went to the Court of Session in Edinburgh in a bid to stop Rangers appointing their own administrator, as the club had announced it would.

The Judge Lord Menzies said he would give Rangers until 3.30pm to make the appointment, otherwise he would rule on the application by HMRC.

The club had already lined up the firm Duff & Phelps.

Lawyers for Rangers told the court they were confident they would meet the deadline.

HMRC and Rangers are both currently at the Court of Session in Edinburgh.

Rangers are trying to appoint an administrator today, and that HMRC are trying to block this and HMRC want a judge to appoint an independent administrator.

HMRC have asked Rangers to give an assurance that they will not appoint an administrator until the judge decides, but Rangers have said that they will not give this assurance and furthermore, intend to appoint an administrator as soon as possible today.

Outside if the Big Tax case it is emerging that Rangers have not paid PAYE, NI and VAT to HMRC since Craig Whyte took over, amounting to several million pounds.

One way or another, Rangers will be in administration before the end of today and are making one hell of an enemy in HMRC.

If HRMC trying to put rangers into liquidation (which is being reported)? Does that mean ALL assets must be sold off to recoup whatever money they can? Everyone knows that players will be sold off, but no-one has mentioned the sale of ibrox, or at least the land it's built on, i''m sure one of the big supermarkets would pay (hopefully the green & white of asda lol), though might get it at a snip as rfc are desperate for the money. Any info on this Ed, as it would mean the newly formed "glagow rangers fc" would have no stadium. {Ed007's Note - It's hard to call until who is the administrator appointed. Whytes will obviously help him whereas HMRC's would be after their money.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

There's also the problem of one of the stands in Ibrokes being listed, so it's not so easy to sell this on. {Ed007's Note - Isn't it just the front facade? I am not 100% sure though.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It is just the frount and the stands have a considerable SCRAP VALUE. As a stadium Ibrox is not an asset it is a libility and the value of the stadium is higher as a salvage/develpment site then as a stadium. The fate of Ibrox is definately in the ballance. Regardles of Whyte whisking money out of the club.

HMRC to ask court to put Rangers into administrationHM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is set to ask the Court of Session to put Rangers Football Club into administration.

The legal move counters the club's bid on Monday to file for protection against its creditors.

The papers served on behalf of Rangers directors would give the club 10 days to resolve its differences with HMRC.

However, the response from HMRC suggests it is seeking to take charge of events. The court hearing is set to take place on Tuesday morning.
