Ed, all over Portugal saying benfica want Fraser Forster, would we let him go? 5 million euros is the number flying about. I think 5 million pound would do it but who would we bring in? Or zaluska looks good lately, give him run in the team? Gandalf the green {Ed007's Note - I wouldn't like to lose Forster Gandalf and certainly not replacing him with Zaluska. Zaluska is a good back-up but I don't think he is good enough to be a No.1.}

Believable4 Unbelievable14

He's got the talent to replace him but not the mindset and went to pot 1st time made number 1

Agree0 Disagree0

Benfica already have a top goalkeeper in Artur Moaraes. Don't see why they would want to pay €5m for a backup keeper.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think the big man would move to sit on a bench he clearly wants to be on the plane to brazil and he needs to be playing week in week out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would not be surprised if they sold him. Somethings not adding up here. For a team with little to no debt that want to progress, therr seems to be too much selling.

Lawell and co are selling us short again.

Agree0 Disagree1

Love Zaluska - a man that genuinely knows what it means to be in a team, and at celtic. He's crumbled on occasion, but I wonder if he mightn't be due a turn, like Giorgios.

As to Forster, he's smashing. All the talk of him eclipsing Boruc was premature in my view, but ripping out the heart of a team would reach new proportions if we were to lose the CF, CM, Fullback and 'Keeper in a month

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't mind celtic selling Forster. But it would have to be at least £8-10 million. There are plenty of other goalkeepers out there plus I've never really been 100% sure of Forster, He will be another one wanting to just ship to try and win an English call up again anyways.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fraser Forster has been trying to swat away/save shots with only ONE Hand (Mark Brown anyone?)since before the end of last season, and is still doing it . Is there something wrong with his other hand? Personally I feel more comfortable with a TWO-Handed Goalie between 'the sticks' .

The Sno Man

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep him, he is the next 15/25 million england no 1 keeper, everyone down south knows this hold him next year he can go for funny money.

Another bid of 4.1m from celtic rejected for finbogason. Herenveen now stating they want 5.3 m.

Fallon67

Believable15 Unbelievable16

We are now entering the realms of the biggest transfer since the Martin O'Neil days which in itself is fine but to go with the big fee goes a big salary. Again this is fine but in a time when we no longer have the Sevconians to bump up the TV money (at least 4 old firm games a season) and the also rans sharing a bigger piece of the current TV money I really do hope this guy is the player so many think he is and he scored the goals to get us back into the last 16 at least.

Agree2 Disagree1

Celtic should tell Herenveen to shove it. JK

Agree1 Disagree3

Herenveen need cash, they will sell Finn, no doubt about it, but they are trying to get as much as possible for him, nowt wrong with that, but I agree with the previous poster CFC should now tell them they are not going any higher, moving on to other targets, test their resolve.

Agree0 Disagree2

Really think we should pay 5 for him think it'll at least double in a few years time.the boys already scored 3 and set up 2 this season alone and in my opinion in a more technical league. Don't think he's the tricks and flicks sort like Henke could pull off but he'll defo bang em in. Fingers crossed hail hail

every1 is going mad here. 5mil for a guy wee had the chance of for 400k.

let it go. he's 1 that got away but that was last year not now. wanting to pay that for a guy that had a good season and a bit. I rate him I really do, but nowhere near enough for that lot to hold us to ransom.

why did wee sign balde? wee signing subs now. let's see what this guy does. don't know what lenny is playin at signing guys that don't get a chance.

young watt wasting away aswell.

adam le fondre I am amazed that he has not even been mentioned. machine in the EPL and woulda scored more had it not been for the russian owners demanding record signing pogrebnyak b a starter.

whatever signings I hope ther the right ones,, 5mil is a serious punt for us these days. hope if wee get him he's a machine I really do.

mon the hoops

Agree1 Disagree0

Nothing wrong in a team wanting a fair price for a player. Not very courteous if we try and offer low bids just to get him on the cheap since the club are skint.

Shame on Celtic if that's the case. They told us the price now pay up or find someone else as good but there's no excuse for not meeting the valuation, we have adequate funds!

If finbogason wants to come then let him call out to celtic, they are just playing games with celtic, just look at all the teams that want the 24 year old finbogason just now, oh yep all the big teams want him eh.

Let it go celtic it may be another Mo.

Agree0 Disagree1

Isn't it Celtic playing the mind games as usual when it comes to a transfer at a fair price we should have had Russell and Rhodes here already. We have the money pay the going rate there are NO Excuses.

Agree0 Disagree1

Just pay the money, Celtic wouldn't reduce the price for Hooper and Co. why should the other team do it for Celtic, they'll miss out if they don't pay the going rate

We have made an offer for Eyong Enoh from Ajax. Surprisingly our offer is better than Fulhams although player needs a bit of convincing to come up here

Believable6 Unbelievable19

Enoh is a cracking player. Seen him quite a few times. Lost his place at Ajax after an injury, he was a first pick 2 seasons ago. Can't see us getting him ahead of a move to the english Premiership though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't he on loan at Fulham last season? Davie C

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know anything about him apart from U
YouTube highlights but his tackling is shocking

Enoh aw naw

Article on tv website from yesterday related to fulhams interest but at bottom his agent confirms interest from other clubs in the UK

Talk about losing the spine of the team . On the front of O Jogo a Portuguese newspaper is a front page sports report about Benfica setting their sights on Fraser Forster . DH

ssn' Paper Talk section stating "Joe Kinnear has turned to Genk ace Jelle Vossen in an effort to bolster Newcastle's forward line."

However, it does say that's The person reporting that story. Wouldn't believe the date printed on that rag!

Believable3 Unbelievable10

So why read it then duh
Tam

Agree1 Disagree0

This is consistent with what I said before about Vossen - too expensive for us. Genk are very reliant on him, and so will only sell for big money. He is also club catain. Last week they signed Mboye (would have been a great target for us, but has a dodgy criminal past), so may be happier to do a deal, but still out of our price range I feel - they know they can demand a higher fee. We should look elsewhere. jean-Pierre Laguerre

Looks like Marco Capuano's favoured destination would be Celtic. He has told his agent that he would be "proud to wear a Celtic shirt" and "very happy if the opportunity arose to play for Celtic."

Believable24 Unbelievable10

Yeah, he's been getting a lot of tweetsfrom cCeltic fans. Probably surprised bby our fanaticism! He'll soon change his mind when he sees the scottish weather

Im sick of this messin about wi transfers. Just pay the money and get them in. No need for all this. We pay our money for season tickets. We deserve a product.

Agree2 Disagree0

Hope he is better than the one we have just now! don't get me wrong I thought Kayal was a great player but he hasn't had a good game for a long time now.
Fitzy1888

Agree0 Disagree0

Am guessing it is Avihai Yadin - holding midfielder we have been linked with for a long time. Would seem odd that we are going through a trial at this point - the player has clearly been scouted thoroughly - surely he is either a viable target or not. Jean-Pierre Laguerre

Agree0 Disagree0

Avihai yadin a defensive midfielder
