I hope the reserves teams dont get admitted into scottish football. The opportunity should be given to actual clubs and not subsidiries of celtic/ rangers

Surely even if Sevco win the 3rd Division they would still be starting in the 3rd tier? Would sevco be able to field a colts team? Suppose u15s for them.

2 leagues of 20 would be my vote, works in spain ,italy and germany.............bhoywonder

2 leagues of twenty is the right idea this would generate more income for some of the smaller clubs

Just looking at how much money Celtic have saved and stand to make this season.

Weekly wages trimmed: Cervi, Wilson, Cha, Loovens, O'Dea, Majstorivic, McGinn, Towell, Ki (£5.5m), Rasmussen (£250k), Juarez (£1m), Thompson, & Bangura & Murphy (loan %)

Only brought in Lassad, Forster (£2m), Ambrose (£1.5m), & Kamenar & Miku (loan %)

Approx net transfer income: £3.25 million & wages saved

Champions League: Getting through playoffs & into group stage: £4.8 million
Money received from UEFA for 6 matches: £2.65 million
Prize money per win: £640,000 x 2
Prize money per draw: £320,000
TV money from CL: Approx £6.2 million
3 CL games, approx 165,000 tickets sold @ £30: £5 million
If Celtic were to say lose to benfica & beat spartak and qualify for last 16: £3.05 million & another gate receipt of 55,000 X £30: £1.65 million & additional TV revenue

Net CL income: £20.25 million rising to at least £24.95million

Tennents sponsorship: £1.5 million & bonuses

Season ticket sales: Roughly 39,000 X £500: £19.5 million

Plus merchandise, league & cup match day tickets, catering & smaller sponsors.

Obviously the figures aren't 100% but the overall impression is that Lawwell's beloved balance sheet is set to look pretty healthy this season.

The figures look there abouts and can only see it getting better, can't wait to see chic green at the end of this season with his great balance sheet haha hope lawell took him up on a bet of who'd be in the better position come next year

@ Keiran, teams who qualify receive 3m euros (£2.4m) from UEFA plus another few million in TV revenue and another gate receipt so maybe looking at around £7 million minimum from last 16 alone.

Match day advertising around the playing field is huge income for CL games. I noticed Rosneft the huge Russian energy company had ads for Barcelona game. Stupendous!

Hey Ed a quick question, I saw that the 2 Manchester clubs seem they are going to battle it out for wanyama and I'm sure each one would not like to lose, great for us. But I heard that barca might want him as I read that one of thier members stayed back to talk about him, is this true? Cause I always thought that if barca had him they would be untouchable and I think he would be better going to big Europe club then the epl.
