Have Celtic pulled out of the Fojut deal?.....TTTS

Believable7 Unbelievable4

Didn't he already sign a pre-contract ? Surely that means it's a done deal ?? MikeyBhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know Mikeybhoy ....was doing the round on twitter so a wee pinch of salt maybe required ....TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

He signed a pre-contract but that is still subject to passing a medical

Agree0 Disagree0

He had a final medical to do as is sometimes the case with pre contract signings. It's a good way of doing it to cover your back. I don't know for sure know if we've pulled out of the deal but I know we have the right to on this occasion and if it's turned out the lad has done his knee pretty bad and it's long term then that's what we have to do. Again incase anyone else has other opinions, Peter Lawell looking after our clubs best interests. Still can't believe some people are criticising the man. I Hope the lad recovers and gets his career back on track and wish him all the best

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we have as he is out for 9 months
and we do not have to sign him as it is just a pre contract

Agree0 Disagree0

U can still pull out a pre contract up until july 1st

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes Lennon in the paper said club doctor traveled with him to see specialist, its the same injury that he was out with in England ( the reason this was specified in pre agreement), will be out for at least 6 months. Hope he gets better sad to see good young players careers come to an end (Kennedy) but we are in no financial position to take on this kind of risk. Good luck

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats the world we live in best of luck fojut.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard the same - also heard mcgregors agent is in talks with celtic among others.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha mcgregor dont write s**te

Agree0 Disagree0

If Mc Shagger was to sign for Celtic , it would be the straw that broke the camels back ......You could see dungwall jumping out of one of those windies at the big hoose ....TTTS

Agree0 Disagree0

Fat bast@rd would get stuck in the window frame - worst luck.

K -Dot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a rumour aboubt LAUGHerty leaving - truth is I would happily drive him down the road myself as he's been nothing but an embarrassment....... As for Mcshagger's allegeed move to Celtic that would merely show a lack of ambition on his part. Why would he want to move to another team in the SPL? I mean he's got as much chance of being involved in a European run with Rangers next season than with Celtic and that's remebering that Rangers AREN'T playing in Europe.............

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunwall is that fat he'd get stuck if he jumped in the air, to raise money for the fighting fund they are having sponsored walks round about him.

Celtic have looked at both Adam federici of reading and smithies of I think Bournemouth as possible replacements for Foster the holy goalie has had his time think either of those 2 keepers would do great. As for Rhodes ad sell stokes and buy Rhodes his awareness and movement are fantastic and would be excellent beside hooper. Don't think man utd would want Ki he's never turned up at ibrox but wouldn't be too sad to see him go! Time to let go 6 or so players and sign 3-4 quality players

Campsie Tim

Believable4 Unbelievable5

Alex Smithies is 2nd choice at Huddersfield Town , but is a great prospect , maybe not ready for Celtic 1st team just yet , dont see Adam Federici leaving Reading now they've been promoted to the Premiership .

ED007, could not believe this story, but Daily Record going big with a
"parent complained about Thai Tims"....Timalloy

{Ed007's Note - Yep, shocking Tim mate.}

Believable6 Unbelievable8

Sorry Ed,just sent you the same piece.Could you delete for me mate?Cheers.

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - I might have missed it mate, dealing with drunken 17 year old nephew has distracted me!!!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been on to have a look Ed and the link doesn't appear to be working. Gave URL message with one of three possible reasons suggesting that it may have been removed from the site. Went on to their main site and they only have two thai tims stories listed: singing to Lennon last week and the Youtube thing with the young girl who has cancer which was dated January. What was it about mate?

daviet

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the 'parent'. How can it be acceptable to use this term when referring to a group of young children who, I would imagine, have no idea what it means,when you as a group of supporters, find it abusive and derogatory when used to describe you?
I think your marketing/communication team have scored a massive own goal and should apologise to these children.

Just saw on CNN Juarez has been dropped from the Mexican national team ...Hasnt been the best of a season for someone who started of so well for Celtic ....Where and why did it go so wrong for him ....Hope he sorts it all out ,he's no bad player ....TTTS {Ed007's Note - He will be leaving, NL has said so as well.}

Believable5 Unbelievable0

ED007, are Celtic paying up his contract or is he on transfer list? Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I doubt he will have been paid in full, but it will be 'mutual consent' I would think, paid a percentage of his contract and let go.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi Ed, great site as always. U never answered the OP about why its not worked out. Is it because of the hotel incident about 18 months back?
Steveo {Ed007's Note - Not just that, it really just hasn't worked out.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he will end up in MLS.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

There was an influx of Mexicans to UK but apart from Hernandez none have worked out.Must be the weather.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

He looked a right player at start.shame!

Agree0 Disagree0

This one will have stung the management team. I think it was 4m + wages albeit he was on loan for a significant period. I hope that that if there is a next 4M transfer he works out. No complaints overall as I would much rather we took risks on youngsters ( and Juarez is young) than the big time charlies. its an interesting point that we signed up with a mexican club and at least part of that was to increase the CFC brand exposure in that country. I wonder how many CFC shirts were sold. Yet we basically ignore the North American market and even worse we ignore Australia. If CFCneeds a man to get things moving I am available on a short term contract, I wont even take a basic salary, they can work out a bonus option. I could buy a half decent player after a year and I am not joking. CFC would make a fortune and my meagre bonus would reflect that. :) Sopot Celt.

Will Celtic release Juarez on a free or will we get a few pounds for him ....What sort of wages would he have been on ? If Ki was sold 5-6 million would that be enough to challange the boys down south for Rhodes ....Would Rhodes be interested ....Commons will he stay will he go ....Hooper has he another season in Glasgow ..... Goalkeeper who will be our number 1....Transfer season nearly upon us ....can't wait ................. TTTS

hey ed a question, with what has been coming out about how the others board now what was going on and all, does it look like stripping of titles is going to happen? since they are close to match fixing. or is stripping of titles only related to the double contracts? and any up date on those?
one final one, would the spl get any sort of punishment? ex: someone on the spl board that allowed what was going on at them/hence helping them? would like to know more about stripping of titles if it will happen. cheers {Ed007's Note - UEFA would only get involved if there was a complaint made against the SPL/SFA. I doubt there will be any stripping of titles.}

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Have I read this post wrong....are you saying that Rangers were into the whole match fixing now?

And why do u lot keep going on about these "double contracts"? If it were true we would have heard something about it by now!

Just accept that, if, Rangers survive and don't get liquidated, they won't be stripped of any titles.

TTG

Agree0 Disagree0

TTG...of course you "read" the post wrong, i said it was CLOSE to match fixing since it has been reported that and your own manager saying samething that only match fixing is worse then what yous did. i did not say that you did match fixing, it seems you are just looking for something to go against.
is it not that the double contract investigation is still going on? i didnt just pull it out of the air for it has been reported as many of your problems. IF your not guilty of it then fine you won your titles but they would just be tainted, if you did do something wrong would you accept it or would you just find another scape goat? would like to know that.

as well it was only a question i was asking, never did i make a statement so maybe it is time for you and your club to realize whats is going on and what is said and you should not try and twist things to make you seem like the victims in all of this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Original Poster. Your right. They stated that the only thing WORSE than the offences Rangers were up for WOULD have been match fixing, although I can understand how TTG could have read the post that way.

"Would like to know that": my answer to your question would be a resounding yes. If dual contracts are confirmed we wouldn't have won the titles fairly according to the rules and wouldn't deserve to keep them. There would be no defence to the contrary for me at all.

Our reputation as a club is in tatters as it is and I for one would like to see some humility and acceptance of wrongdoing coming from my club (and some fellow fans to be honest). If new owners (doubtful I know) are in place by the time this decision is made then a good way for them to start repairing the damage and rebuilding respectful relationships with the authorities and opposing clubs and fans would be for the new board to relinquish the titles concerned of their own freewill. I couldn't see it sitting well with the support though but it would prove to me that the new regime would be making a fresh start and the club could start to put the mistakes of previous owners behind us and move forward. I am not holding my breath though.

Brian

p.s. Why do you think that ed? I'm sure it has happened to other big clubs within their own leagues on the continent before (Italy and Turkey I think - not sure though).

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Brain you seem to be a rare one amongst most of your fellow fans. you talk sence and realize that this is not Celtic vs rangers ignorance and think that we are just after yous. you are right in which you want to rebuild your reputation however i can't see yous hand over titles back, although that would be the best thing for your reputation, and i cant see it going down well amongst your fans because they are so caught up in the we have more titles then anyone mentality.
i just hope more of your clubs fans start thinking the way you do.

Agree0 Disagree0

The investigation into alleged double contracts (an allegation made by a former director) is ongoing. If found guilty of this stripping of titles is the only plausible outcome or there may indeed be a complaint to UEFA

Rhodes just scored again, top scorer in england. I Would love it if we could sign him. Anyone know much he is valued at? {Ed007's Note - He would cost anywhere between £3.5 - £5 million. It is more the structure of the deal and best move for his career than the actual price.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Think he's to simmilar to hooper need a battering ram

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes is a big strong lad who scores a lot of headers. I dont know how good his hold up play is though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guy on telly said huddersfield have turned down £6m for him. bb {Ed007's Note - Prices in January are always higher and as I said, it is the structure of the deal. The offer from West Ham only guaranteed Huddersfield a maximum of £4 million over a period, the rest was tied into promotion, staying in the EPL and his goalscoring.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Will cost more than hopper whats he worth

Agree0 Disagree0

He's only playing in league 1 so its impossible to say how we would do at a higher level and at a club the size of ours. But clubs will be willing to risk between 4 and 6 million for him. We unfortunately cant take risks like that and im sure thats what the club and management will be thinking. We need to spend money like that on internationals or players who have proved it at the top level. I wish we could go for him and see what happens but thats not were we are at. We are in a strong financial position and in the current financial climate that is something we can be proud of. Id like it to stay that way and continue to take calculated risks when looking at potential signings.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's only playing in league 1 so its impossible to say how we would do at a higher level and at a club the size of ours.

but dont you know the spl is confrence level (copyright english idiot 2012)

Agree0 Disagree0

For that type of money I would rather we went for someone like Marko Janko

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this is the guy we should go for seen him a few times and scores a good few of his goals with his head and seems pretty quick aswell he's not a john hartson type but better with his head than anyone at celtic just now and think after a couple of seasons with us we could get big money for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Premier league teams interested wouldn't hold your breath!

Agree0 Disagree0

Should sign bas dost or john guidetti ripping it up in the dutch league

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the boys from the dutch league. Sell stokes, Juarez and Ki, invest in 2 quality strikers and a defender. Think we would only sign Rhodes if Hooper goes though.

So the SFA have now published their written findings into the recent disciplinary case against Rangers and Craig Whyte

Rangers usual defence of "it was the big boy that done it" has been completely blown out of the water, and we now see them laid bare for all that they are.

What did the Rangers directors, and in particular John Greig and John McClelland do when they knew what Craig Whyte was upto?

The greatest ever Ranger, John Greig, what did he do when his club were knowingly breaking the rules and heading for disaster. He kept his mouth shut, resigned and walked away.

But to Rangers supporters that's all okay, it was all Whyte's fault, Greig and his cronies did nothing wrong.

Not according to the SFA panel.

Did Greig report the matter to the Stock Exchange, HMRC, the SFA, the SPL, the various Rangers Supporters Associations, go to the newspapers.

No, Greig simply kept quite and walked away, making him culpable in the meltdown Rangers now finds itself in.

This season has been one that has seen many of Rangers wrongdoings of the past come back to hant them.

In terms of the greatest ever Ranger we known know that "John Greig knew" and he "Did do Walking Away".

Shameful, absolutely shameful. Who are the Bears going to blame this one on.

K-Dot.

Morning all, just reading the Rangers administrators statement from last night which finishes by saying "the bid should also be commercially better than liquidation of the business". Does that not mean that bids would need to be more than all monies raised from the sale of all the assets?

Up to this point I always thought Rangers would survive, now I'm pretty sure they won't.

Why boycott celtic Neil Lennon & Peter Lawell have only ever looked after our best interests. Majority share holder Dermot Desmond has funded players like Bellamy & both Keane deals. Guys we have done nothing wrong and if the shame manage to get back in SPL as a NEWCO then we should boycott away fixtures as this is the teams who voted them back in for nothing more than financial gain. In Lawell we trust. Also guys remember he knocked back arsenal toStay at celtic no player or manager would give up that opertunity. GBNL Hail Hail

Believable17 Unbelievable1

Hope the SFA/SPL name the clubs that vote to keep them in the SPL , if that happens or better still Fat Sally can name them

Agree0 Disagree0

How would you feel if Celtic were one of the clubs who voted them in? I have renewed my season ticket but I would be seriously p'd off if Celtic did vote this way.
I think this is why people like the GB are holding off renewing, trying to force Celtic to vote with the fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

How many of the usual men in the suits would reject theyre yearly bonus? NONE?... only one! peter lawell for the last 3 years that we havent won the league. FACT! the guy is one of us! cant believe people are questioning him. He leaves all his other peers in scottish football behind at the job he does. And he does it with class. He is a great assets to celtic football club.

Some more info on the away kit.

The long sleeve does not have the tricolour turn back on the cuff it is only on the short sleeve.There is no 3xl on any of the product,this is a decision made by Nike across all clubs and not a decision made by the club.The little boys/infants kits are still scheduled for the 18th June however the unsponsored jerseys now have an ETA of 4th July.
