Have been impressed with the polish centre half Perquis
Does anyone know about his price & availability, could do a job as a replacement for Fojut.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

He plays in France with Sochaux, I thought he had a great game, commanding centre half by the looks of it. However if he continues like that their will be a few clubs looking at him. maccabhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't come cheap from the French leagues.

A non-starter.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has looked decent , but is only 5ft11ins tall , we need a centre half 6ft2ins min , we need a centre half dominant in the air .

Agree0 Disagree0

I work with a polish bhoy in work,he said the lad u speak of is polands best defender ih years and a host of bundesliga clubs r chasing his signature size doesent matter he dominates

How's you Ed?Was listening to radio snyde breaking the news on them while I was at work and decorating somebodys hall has never been so good!! Anywho wot you think about Forster? My opinion he looked suspect at first and had a good season there but he ain't that good for us to be pussy footing around him. I've got Jelly in the fridge but ain't keen on ice cream with it.haha

Stuartybhoy {Ed007's Note - I would be happy to get Forster long term, but I also think that it needs sorted ASAP or move on.}

Believable4 Unbelievable2

To me it looks as if the big man would rather chance it down south, maybe his agent is at it, but at the end of the day if the big man wanted to stay way us, it would of been done by now, this latest thing about wages no bein right is just another stumblin block, so ff cheerio, the hoops deserve better!

Believable10 Unbelievable10

Garbage. He's scored in loads of bounce matches. give him a chance ffs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate all you have to do is read what sir neil lennon says about him, the guy scores for fun in bounce games, just been unlucky with injuries. i reckon next season he will show what hes got in the locker

Also heard he is not up it from roddy McDonald the clubs main doctor. He said that he was not lennons signing but pistol petes

I think that the board will now seriously revise their spending plans with the demise of Rangers and the subsequent loss of significant income. I don't think we should expect them to spend big. Celtic will still comfortably win the league but all the other clubs will be sorting themselves out to cope with the loss of revenue.

I really think that after a couple of years the league will be much more competitive and interesting and another club, maybe Hearts, will start to challenge Celtic. Hopefully no corruption and a lot less bigotry - a much cleaner, healthier game.

Believable22 Unbelievable12

We should be spending even bigger with CL football almost guaranteed , if we get to group stages this year we can really put daylight between us and everyone else

Agree0 Disagree0

I fail to see how the league changing from two teams competing with a reasonable chance of winning to only one team competing with a reasonable chance of winning will make it more competitive?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearts and lot less bigotry in same sentence don't think so.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately the shame will be back in one form or another,lets hope the spl/sfa come down just as hard as they did with Airdrie

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearts ? Their situation is pretty bad too ! One team league , competition will be zero , Celtics reserve team could qualify for Europe ! Bigotry , ye Celtic dont have bigoted fans. {Ed007's Note - Neither do Rangers now.... there is nothing left to support.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic have never let rangers dictate when they spend, don't see them starting now. Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC have done what we could and should have done four seasons ago, the board should have spent the money to win the league and buried the manky mob. Shame we had to let HMRC do it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kudos to Ed007 for his reply "{Ed007's Note - Neither do Rangers now.... there is nothing left to support.}"

Lets face it, Scottish football is rife with bigotry, Celtic included. Not everone i must add, but a few fans spoil it for everyone else. Its not just a football problem, I think football recently has been used as a scapegoat. I think the problems lie much deeper in society but football can certainly help towards reducing the problem. I doubt it will ever be eradicated.

Agree0 Disagree0

One team league,didn't hear you complaining when the bears were at the fore(cheating ? the rest of league out of trophie's).Alledgedly.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye, and it's also funny that when they were trying to get into EPL along with Mighty Hoops the chat was that ye the SPL would become more competative...now it's if you vote us out - it's the end of Scottish football, in other words what the shame are saying is that they are personally the demise of scottish football - so well done. What i dont get is what if they get voted in, team weakend and are relagated?? Would they want voted back in then? Take your punishment..... has been a long long time coming!

I got told today that Ki is going.Source couldn't tell me who to but did say the fee is between £5/6m,have you heard anything Ed?

Jungle Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - I would say AV mate. Lambert had Norwich scouts watching CFC every week last season.}

Believable11 Unbelievable5

£6M would be cheap for a player of his ped and quality but it would get us Rhodes and cover some of his wages so could be worth considering if true.
HH
/BB

Agree0 Disagree0

Ki out for £6mil, Henriksen in for £2.5mil. Great business

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think we should let him go just yet for 6 million, take a gamble on him for another year. He is our best passer of the ball in the middle. He spreads the play with his long balls, like some of the beat players in the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

I feel he is the dispensable one from our midfield so i hope we don't lose any others from there too.Agree about using the cash for Rhodes so i hope Lenny gets the full amount on top of any budget he has at the moment.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be a brilliant peice of business as we have a lot of CMs Kayal wanyama brown ledley, it would pay for rhodes and forster and we wouldnt really miss him.
Conor67

Agree0 Disagree0

Ki is probably the one high valued player we could allow to leave, but would want closer to 8 mill, or maybe a swap deal for Bannon and a 2 mill

Agree0 Disagree0

The rangers thing worries me slightly in regards to all this. if we dont get into the champs league what do these players have to motivate them to stay here?

Agree0 Disagree0

Was there any other players you know that caught Lamberts eye ed? {Ed007's Note - Remember it was for Norwich scouts that were up watching. Ki was the main focus though Mulgrew, Hooper and Commons all caught the eye, Fraser Forster was also mentioned in case Ruddy did not work out or left. AV will not meet the asking price for Hooper so that is a no go.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Jungle Bhoy, I always believe your info, Ki for say £5/£6m would be a great piece of business, plus I hope add ons and sell on clause.
If as you say Lennon gets it all, then with about 9 players wages off our bill we are in healthy financial position (bears read that and weep) bring in henriksen, forster, a big centre half and a big target man and we are set for CL
hail hail Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Tim mate.Once i got told, i couldn't wait to spill the beans on here.lol

JB

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the general feeling on here, out of all the pricier players we have I'd sooner lose him than Hooper, Kayal, Wanyama, Izzy etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, as indicicated by even lennon at one point last season we'd do very well to keep ahold of all our midfield.it looks like it'll be Ki I agree, I just hope that's where it stops Bhoys. As earlier said by some post with international players in most positions at the moment it's all great but if we fall out Europe early where's the challenge for our top players then? Scottish footballs in a very strange place at the minute and not one of us can say where it's going to end up. Look at the riches of football were all watching each nite, ridiculously great football games (for the most) do any of these guys fancy playing in the SPL next season? I think we all know that answer, in comparison to just down the road where the vast majority actually end up. God only knows what's going to happen next season but personally Ki's not the man on my mind at the moment. HH GBNL

Hi Ed, can you clear something up for me if you dont mind. what happens to the players once a Newco is formed? do they go out of contract once Rangers is liquidated and then offered a new deal at the Newco? {Ed007's Note - Players' contracts can be transferred to Zombie Rangers but they would be bound by it's current terms (5 years at £25k a week). Players can refuse this though and will become free agents.}

Good Morning Ed, just a quick visit today.
Can you tell me what is happening with forster signing, it seems to be
dragging on, do you know if deal is done or not?
Also by my reckoning about 9 fringe players have now left Celtic, do you
anticipate any of our bigger players leaving ie.. Ki or Wanyamma I heard
about.
Have Celtic made offers to any players yet, like Rhodes or Henricksen?
I see Rodrigues is away to Southampton and Powell off to Man Utd.
Hope you can clear this up thanks
Neil T
Ps Ed I am getting over my ops, I hope you too are recovering well enough to return to Celtic park next season {Ed007's Note - Good to hear that you are keeping well Neil. I'm getting there and hoping to get either a ST or at least get to the majority of games next season. Regarding Forster, as far as I know the deal has been agreed, I can only guess that it will be agent's fees that are the hold up, they have become more and more of a problem over the last few windows (it was the £6 million agent's fees that Man Utd refused to pay that scuppered any deal for Eden Hazard). There is no interest in Wanyama currently, it is stories being generated by the player and his agent, probably get a pay rise. With players/ club officials on holiday and at the Euros I don't think there will be any incoming players for a week or two, Rhodes could stay at Huddersfield for another season after the won promotion. NL spoke to Leitch-Smith after the play off final and CFC have matched the asking fee for Henricksen (3 million Euros). Powell was always going to sign for Man Utd, even if it had fell through he was never coming to CFC, he is the hottest property in English football. Southampton turned their attention to Rodriguez after they failed to get Hooper in January, by the time his agent contacted Adkins he had already made Rodriguez his priority with Hooper as a back up.}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Hail hail Neil, I hope doctors allow you some jelly and ice cream today, glad to hear from you again.
ED007, newspaper reports state Celtic only offering £12k a week for Forster, I would imagine that there will be bonuses and add ons, but if true it seems a small wage when we all know EPL teams will offer him double that at least. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I'm not buying it Tim. The contract has been in place for months, why has it only come out that there is a problem with wages? Plus look where the story originated.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed if Celtic matched Markus Henriksen price does that mean it is a done deal? i have not heard of us putting an offer in just that we are interested. are we just waiting for his club to accept the offer? and if it is accepted when can we hear of him being a Celtic player. {Ed007's Note - The price has been set at 3 million Euros. CFC, PSV and Schalke are all willing to match that. Brugge's interest has cooled I think and AV and Bayern Munich ended their interest a while back.}

The Holy Goalie has said he would be open to a return to Celtic. If Forster is convinced to sign for someone else (Newcastle already have offers lined up in excess of the pre-arranged fee with Celtic) what would the general consensus be on Boruc returning? {Ed007's Note - How much would Fiorentina want for him?}

Believable8 Unbelievable4

If he is a free then yes. If they want money then no. {Ed007's Note - He has a year left on his current deal.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Boruc has intimated he would rather go to a better league than the s.p.l.,so can't see him returning.
Tambhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

He is past his best now. Shouldnt be bringing players back simply because they are fans i.e robbie keane

Agree0 Disagree0

He's also been playing more games since Frey got injured. Could be wrong but I think he's now pretty much 1st choice there.

We'd need to pay over the odds...not worth it.

Good morning ed just watching ssn and hmrc have rejected the cva! Ssn have also stated that Charles green will create a new co but will be banned from Europe for 3 years but need spl clubs to vote to keep in the spl! What's your thoughts on the matter? I personally think if we vote them out the spl we would be doing just as much damage to our selves as rangers!..... Brian {Ed007's Note - I fully expect Zombie Rangers to be voted straight back into the SPL with sanctions.}

Believable5 Unbelievable5

The same treatment as Airdrie would be fair

Agree0 Disagree0

At the last meeting with SPL/SFA and clubs decision was made not to punish further any Newco! {Ed007's Note - There was no decision made.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think they would be voted stait back in. Dundee United, Aberdeen, Hearts, St Mirren, Inverness, Hibs, and possiblly Celtic would be likely to vote against. Also Ranger would not get a vote, so they effectively need 8 of the other teams to vote them in St Johnstone, Killie, Ross County and Motherwell would probably vote them in but that would not be enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Livingston is threating to sue the sfa for 1.2 million if Rangers dont get relagated mate so who knows what will happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

It just the arrogance of them, watched gordon smith say rangers wont accept sanctions and will prefer to start off in the 3rd division. Punt them to 3rd and hit them with sanctions says I.

Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs will reject the company voluntary arrangement proposal made by Rangers' prospective owner Charles Green.

Green's consortium hopes to have its CVA approved by creditors when they meet at Ibrox on Thursday so that the club can exit administration.

But the club needs dominant creditors HMRC and Ticketus to vote in favour to avoid the assets being sold off.

Green will now try to buy the assets and re-form Rangers as a new club.

He said: "The solemn promise I can make to Rangers fans today is that this club will continue as Rangers Football Club and will continue to play at Ibrox Stadium.

"I am hugely disappointed by the decision of HMRC not to support the CVA proposal and that disappointment will be felt acutely by Rangers fans across the world.

"Frankly, I do not see what benefit will be achieved by this decision. My consortium's offer for a CVA amounted to a total of £8.5m.

WHAT IS A CVA?
•A CVA enables companies to reach an agreement with creditors about how debts could be repaid and provides for partial or full repayment depending on what the company can reasonably afford to pay.
"Now that we will have to complete the purchase via the formation of a newco, the purchase price and therefore the amount available to creditors will be £5.5m.

"I can understand HMRC deciding that football clubs which do not pay their taxes need to be punished, but by effectively banning Rangers from Europe for three years all that will happen is that there will be less revenue generated by the club and consequently less money paid over to the taxman."

The CVA terms suggest a maximum payout of nine pence for every pound owed but that is a best-case scenario for those awaiting payment.

Rangers entered administration on 14 February and await the outcome of a First Tier Tax tribunal at the Court of Session in Edinburgh over unpaid taxes - the so-called "Big Tax Case".

If that decision goes against the club, it would mean a further bill of anything from £35m to £70m, thereby reducing the pence-in-the-pound deal to close to zero.

The club's total debts to unsecured creditors listed in the CVA was £55m, with HMRC accounting for £21.5m of that sum.

BBC Scotland has learned that administrators Duff & Phelps held a meeting with HMRC on Monday and were told of their decision.

RANGERS CVA KEY FACTS
•Rangers administrators' CVA offers 8-9p in the pound (best case scenario)
•Administrators fees: £5.5m
•Football debts: £3.5m
•HMRC owed: £21.5m
•Ticketus owed: £26.7m
•Total owed to unsecured creditors: £55m
Duff & Phelps say HMRC's decision was based on "its general policy of not agreeing to a CVA where there is strong evidence of non-compliance by a company with its tax liabilities".

They said HMRC had agreed to consider the CVA proposal along with all other options but decided that the club's level of indebtedness made it unacceptable.

The administrators say HMRC would also have rejected the other offers for the club that proposed a CVA.

Administrator Paul Clark added: "HMRC has taken the view that the public interest will be better served with the liquidation of The Rangers Football Club plc as a corporate entity.

"The Club will continue to operate as it has always done but within a new company structure."

The CVA requires the approval of 75% or more in value of the creditors, and more than 50% in value of the members, voting on the resolution.

Under the terms of the deal struck by Green's consortium to buy Rangers, it will now proceed to purchase the business and assets of Rangers for £5.5m.

By doing so, Green will try to form Rangers as a "newco" that will have to seek the approval of the 11 other Scottish Premier League clubs to play in Scotland's top tier.

Green added: "We will be liaising with the football authorities at the earliest opportunity to establish our position regarding the SPL."

More to follow...

/BB

Agree0 Disagree0

What now Ed!! Rangers go 'newco' and start off debt free? Is it true that HMRC has now effectively foregone chasing Rangers for any monies that could become due under the FTT? Can't help thinking that a three year European ban might prove a relatively small price to pay - especially if there's no debt. {Ed007's Note - The FTT will still be decided and any fine, costs etc will be added to the amount that HMRC are owed by Rangers.}

Agree0 Disagree0

But Ed - HMRC have already stated that Rangers 'newco' would now be free from such claims, as they would likely pursue the individuals responsible. Besides which, if a company has been liquidated and a newco set up then how can the newco be pursued for FTT monies? The liability rests with the 'oldco' meaning the 'newco' gets off scott-free!! {Ed007's Note - No it doesn't. HMRC will have a claim on any proceeds of a sale in proportion to the total amount they are owed.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely to god, the taxman can refute the deal with green, murray park must be worth £10 + as sportscentre id have thought
