Celtic are looking at Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson as a potential replacement for Fraser Forster, should he leave in the summer.

Basically Celtic have told Huddersfield to get lost for asking too much for Oliver Norwood. Was either going to be him or Stefan Johansen coming in, in that position, which is why Celtic are trying to get Johansen in.

Don't think either of these midfielders is what we need. Neither of them are Creative, which baffles me as to why we are even linked with them.

We all know a Creative Midfielder and a Goalscorer is needed so why are we linked with players who are neither.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon is worrying me with who we are being linked with and surely must know we are lacking creativity and goals and especially how Celtic supporters like to see out team play?!
bit more experience in the team would also not go amiss, if we are to improve on the CL disaster of this season - I also hope the manager has learned from it.

Type of midfielder is he? Read somewhere he was a deep lying playmaker

Agree0 Disagree0

According to his profile he can play either defensive midfield or left central midfield. Did we not sign Nir Biton in the summer with Lennon saying he was a defensive midfielder? He has hardly been given a chance. We also have the forgotten Kayal who is also a defensive midfielder.
We have Pukki, Stokes, Balde, Atajic, Watt, Bangura and the new Icelandic guy so I can't see Mr L signing a check for striker number 8 until we offload a few.

Agree0 Disagree0

@Monkeybhoy - Johansen is extremely versatile. Can play anywhere between CAM and CDM. Noises being made that Celtic are trying to engineer a move away for Kayal.

Agree1 Disagree0

He can be as versatile as he wants, but he ain't what we need for midfield. 90% of our midfielders are versatile.

Like JJ mentioned Lennon is worrying me with the players we are after. If its obvious to the millions of Hoops fans what we need, then why he oblivious to it.

Agree0 Disagree0

We could probably be doing with norwood and johansen. Ledley looks likely to leave and kayal wouldn't be missed. Mulgrew is not a midfielder. Noel

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest been described as the Norwegian modric, he is deep lying playmaker, has a wicked left foot on him and good with both feet, can score free kicks and very comfortable on the ball. type of player we need who can make things happen. rather him than norwood. right age, good footballing brain, so feel this is type of player we need, offload couple of strikers and left winger with Sammy off and booriengter on and off with injurys love to see gauld also, he defo going to be one for the future

Again so many people telling us he ain't the type of player we need, how many of these people actually have seen him play. In 1 article he was compared to Pirlo a deep lying playmaker, now am not saying he's a Pirlo a simply don't know. But that type of player is a creative player

Agree0 Disagree0

From what I've heard about him, I personally think he could offer more in midfield than the likes of Mulgrew, Kayal and Ledley. Good movement, passing, shooting and pretty decent at FKs. Still fairly young at 23 as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally think people are more worried about giving Lennon stick now more than they care about the team!we don't have the funds to spend and when he does spend it?i would say he gets it right most of the time Biton will turn out to be a great signing without a doubt, pukki is working hard and not as bad as made out, borrieghter will be a smasher if injury free, Virgil is top class(8mill) when he leaves which is sad but true!what I don't like is we are going to canter to h lge and don't see why he can't throw a Henderson or attic on more regular for a full game and see what they have hail hail

Agree0 Disagree0

At the end of the day, the manager (lennon) is the one who will approach lawell and say "these are the players I want to sign" he deserves the stick he has been getting, he has squandered a lot of money on poor signings that could of been better spent. Who in the right mind would spend around £3m on an injury prone player, knowing that money has to be spent wisely. Lennon is out his depth and doesn't have clue what he is doing. If rangers were still in top flight, he would of been found out long time ago.

How would rangers being in top flight have us found out? Would they have best us in both games we would have played them. Even if they had that would only be two games . And in ma opinion we would be skelping rangers if they were still alive.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit of a idiotic response. Simple answer, they were only team that could compete with celtic and give us a challenge for league. Lennon would of been found out, cause realistically league wouldn't of been won so easy as it is now

Idiotic response! How's that why would rangers being in the league make us lose any other game we wer involved in, they would only have an effect on the head to heads 6 points. You do realise we're unbeaten in league. Last time they wer in league we won the league.

Sorry ma posts was logged out

Agree0 Disagree0

It is an idiotic response! Facts are facts! We wouldn't be running away with such a big points difference, there would be more of a challenge and of course realistically there is a chance the result might not go in our favour! Aye, we did win the league last time they were in by a landslide, but u seem to forget they were going to the wall sold arguably there best player at that time jelavic and it was all downhill from there for them! I think u are living in a wee fantasyland if u can't see the bigger picture!

Facts are facts as you say the fact being if rangers wer in the league rite now it would only have been possible to take 6 points from the total we have just now, so how would Lennon have been "found out", this is if they beat us but what makes you so sure they would?
Ma wee fantasy land has us unbeaten at the top of the league what els can a ask, your wee fantasy land has our manager getting found out by an imaginary club in a hypothetical position .
