Why would celtic consider £5m as enough for a player who will get you 20+ a season. This is also a player who has said on several occasions he is happy in Glasgow. name a player we can get for less than 5m who will GUARANTEE us 20+ goals and I might believe your made up story.

There's no way Celtic will sell Hooper, Wanyama or Ki for that matter in January. That's not to say in the summer, they'll still be here-who would blame them if the right move in the prem came up? The reason they won't go is simple: Celtic have a genuine chance of spl trophy now and CL football next season too- with Kayal out (another one of the stars of this team), there's no chance of Celtic's main players being sold at such an important time for the club. Even the most cash driven board would not jeopardise what's at stake here. If Celtic win the league and these players can leave, they'll do so for more cash than is being touted here as well.

Wanyama is a good player with lots of potential. But still has a long way to go to be the finished article.

Martin Jol has said Rafik Halliche is leaving in the window so ED do you think he is coming to CP? {Ed007's Note - I would have thought any deal for him would be tied up by now. I think NL might be looking at other targets before committing to any deal. There are teams in The Championship in for him as well.}

I can't believe this. Everyone knows we NEED a CB AND CF. The last 3 years we have relied on Rangers being skint and what has happened? We still did not win one league. If Lawell presides over another failed attempt and our lack of signings in Jan come back to haunt us once more he is out. A lot of you will disagree,but we should be blowing the other mob out the water. It wasn't that long ago we were 15 behind and are now 2 in fornt which is not a comfortable gap. If we were 10 in front i'd say don't bother spedning any more dough,but we have to push home our advantage.

Would like to see another striker coming in as there are pretty strong rumours that Lennon wants rid of Bangura in this window. Think we're fine at the back tho. Mulgrew, Rogne. Loovens back in training, Majstorovic back in a few weeks. Plus Lustig can play there and even Wanyama can slot in there.

I hope thats not true we defo need a quality cf and a quality cb. we keep wasting money with penny pinching signings. time for the board to step up or get out! look what happenend with leaving it to the last minute for example we lost out in a quality cf and then made a desperate last min signing in Bangura. and we've been needing a quality cb back for the last 7 or so season.
