Ki has signed for QPR talk of 7 million fee will be out before Friday. BelfastBhoy

Believable14 Unbelievable16

Hope this is not true. I love watching Ki and his free kicks are pretty good. jk

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't remember ki scoring any free kicks, anyways I'm hearing tonight Liverpool are also wanting him so hopefully turns out a wee bidding war.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be sorry to see him go but the reality for Celtic is that they must sell if they want to buy. Midfield is an area where we are top heavy and I believe we could manage without him. 7 million would be a great bit of business. We really need another quality defender and perhaps another striker for CL push. I would still love to see Jordan Rhodes in the hoops. Anyone heard anything more on whether or not he will be available?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ki is the most gifted player at parkhead, hel be a world class player in the future just
Not suited to the Scottish game, n pretty sure the guy said his freekicks wer good, never mentioned anything about scoring, anyway as be looking 8, 9 million hel e worth double tht in the future

Agree0 Disagree0

No offence to Ki. Quite like him. But £7m would be a good bit of business for a player that barely got in the team.

Shug

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed that £7M would be a good bit of business, although Celtic should ensure there is a sell on clause inserted as he will sell for at least double in the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ki is the most gifted passer of the ball in the SPL. He will play at the very top and if he goes I wish him well. I likewise hope we get a sell on clause in his contract. A great player, his finesse is lost in our game. He will succeed in the premiership, if not his first year then definitely his second.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we are all in agreement that although Ki is a good player and a favourite of ours, if it is indeed 7 million then that's an offer we can't refuse...good piece of business infact, because that's how ethical football clubs roll.

Agree0 Disagree0

7 million for our 4th or maybe even 5th choice centre midfielder and given we're an SPL club!? If we DON'T take that then we're bloody foolish. Great bit of business if true.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know how true this is - Ki was quoted at the weekend as saying a South Korean was due to be unveiled by QPR at a press conference this week but it would not be him. I would take the money if it is true because although he is a very good player he is wasted in our league. Kenny {Ed007's Note - Park Ji-Sung has signed for QPR, so does he mean another one?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry to everyone who has commented on KI.Free kicks,crap,passing average,heart,poor, passing average,FFS WHAT ARE YOU GUYS WATCHING.7MILL GIVE US IT,also 7 mill HOOPER,IZZY 7 MILL,PLEASE,WANYAMA,9 MILL YEHA,etc, etc.................timmy tim.

Hi guys,
I know there's been a rally to buy season tickets this year and if I could afford it I would be in there (not had one in 6 years).

But every now and again I have got a few sheckles to spend, and would happily spend it in Paradise. So the question is, can you pay at the door at every game? These days

Vambo {Ed007's Note - You can buy available matchday tickets right up until kick-off Vambo from the TO.}

need:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18778825

Brendan Rogers (a hoops fan) says he is not against players getting experience to get their confidence up...well...play in Europe, would score barrell load in the SPL..and Rogers would loan to us I'm sure?

Thoughts?

Celtic report an increase in sales of season tickets whilst the "support your club" campaign online gathers support from other Scottish sides.

Well done lhads and lhassies, hope we all have some leftover jelly n ice cream because the numbers suggest the party has been extended indefinitely.

Wonder if its possible that them ceasing and REFORMING could have the opposite effect to that predicted by our "experts" in the mediarooms. If the financial aspects are as great as reported then the game will have to become cheaper, which to me means lots of young players coming through.

Bring it on I say because when you think of it the standard isn't great anyway how much would teams in spl suffer? If the fans are fans,by literal definition, they will be there regardless. There is no better feeling,to me at least, than seeing a youngster promoted and holding his own amongst the established players. Fans are more patient with the youngsters too, afford young ones games and they get better and better, its common sense.

Anyway, hope all other sides get same reaction from fans as ourselves. Except maybe killie ha ha joke

Jamie Mac(party on folks) {Ed007's Note - Hi Jamie mate, where have you been hiding? I hope all is well bud.}

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Next season will be a very long party not only for Celtic football club but for ALL Scottish Clubs, increased attendance, no expectation, which may allow them to bring through some young players across the board, in cutting their cloth accordingly, so much for doom and gloom and new dawn has appeared.
Also not sure what is more funny the match sevco 5088 have against Kelty Hearts or the guy having the testimonial? I mean fair play to him but sevco 5088?

I've been posting sporadically but reading regularly Ed, the work has relocated and there arent too many chances for a skive lol

i'm well Ed thanks for asking i'm hoping you're all good or at least getting there!

Liam- totally agree mate. The negativity shown from recent events is symptomatic of Scottish media reporting standards.I mean I've still to come across a problem which I've managed to fix by moaning about it whilst doing nothing constructive.

I,personally, consider it to be a victory any time our bhoys take the field, be it the San siro or Somerset park. The clue is in the abbreviation "fan"

Jamie Mac(over and over)

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right Jamie - Sometime you have to take a step back and realize how lucky you are....I see over the next few seasons teams reverting back to the older days(I can remember them) following the Falkirk model investing in youth and cutting their wage bill to boot, this in turn will need the support of Fans and Directors with a long term goal and not a short fix as has been done post-souness era. lets get back to the days of bringing our own players through and selling them on for a profit, filling the teams of the EPL with Scotsmen, let the other mob do their thing while the rest of Scotland sees an increase in attendance and each other club helping out each other, show the institution we do not need them, they need us.
Look at the Euros just played, each country in the semi's took a decade out to avaluate their football and introduced change to bring in youth and have clubs working with each other for the greater good....positive positive positive, let the media mafia spread gloom and doom.

Ed Do you think Big Vic could be the centre back we are looking for allowing us to spend big on a striker? Everytime I have seen him play at the back he looks composed and would be my first choice cb.

CeltStu

Ps Glad you are feeling better mate. {Ed007's Note - Thanks very much Stu. I think Wanyama is great at CB but he prefers playing a midfield role. I think he will become a word class DM. If CFC played with a back 3 in a 3-5-2 or 3-5-1-1-, I would have Wanyama playing just between DF and MF. People in England rave about Yann M'Vila, I personally think that Wanyama is a better player and prospect. Unless you haven't noticed I am a huge fan of Wanyama lol.}

Believable8 Unbelievable2

How you doing Ed?
I couldn't agree with you more about big Wanyama. I think he is total class.
First time i saw him play, I couldn't believe he was only 20 years old - just looked so experienced and composed.
I often said to mates last season, I could see him in the Chelsea side (ie Mikel, Essien) - that typical Chelsea type of midfield player (and I hate Chelsea).
He is the 1 player that will leave for more money than McGeady - a truly outstanding prospect...........just a shame that he is making noises to move already - a sign of our place in football at the moment, unfortunately....................kbt1978 {Ed007's Note - His agent has made a lot of noise this summer, he has been trying to drum up interest but so far no club is interested in trying to sign Wanyama. If players don't move or get new deals then agents don't get any money, they are leeches and only see players as assets to make money out of rather than humans. They have no interest in the player's career, well-being or happiness, as long as they are making their money.}

I was wondering if anyone here could tell me if season tickets can be used by someone else other than the name that is on the card? The reason I ask is I live in Australia but have family in Scotland that can't afford a season ticket and was going to buy 1 under my name and let them fight over who uses it. Cheers Andy from oz {Ed007's Note - There wouldn't be a problem with that Andy. As long as you aren't buying a kids or parent/child and using it for an adult.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Thanks for that ed, will have to run it past the sheila, she used to be one of them but managed to show her the error of her ways and convert her to a ghirl, the thai tims played a main part in the conversion when I showed her the videos a couple of years ago she was sold. Andy from oz {Ed007's Note - No worries. Hoo roo.}

Celtic are playing FC Augsburg tonight at 6pm in our first friendly...Woo hoo :-)

I'm hoping, now the goalie situation is settled, for a centre half and a strong centre forward. Just thinking though if the likes of Kris Commons gets the form he had when he first signed, Kayal and Izzy remain injury free...there's not much else needed.

As Neil Lennon said 'We have a vibrant young team I want to progress this team as far as I can'

'There will be no slacking off or complacency we have a lot to look forward to and that's what we are preparing for, but I need to be very clear we need our fans with us every step of the way'

ed what is celtics top priority a striker of defender {Ed007's Note - Footballing wise I would say a defender but transfer dealings don't work like that, multiple deals can be worked on at one time, it all depends when everything comes together when they are finalised.}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

ED007, here is one from left field....
Carroll could be available on a loan, what about Celtic taking him. Before I am accused of fantasising, I know his wages will be £50k+ but maybe LFC would chip in towards it, or we have saved a lot in wages and if we sign Carrol on loan we also save £3m+ buying a striker so finance wise it could work out.
Ok gang give us your thoughts? Timalloy
