A dont usually post rumours as you get shot down in flames but a good rangers m8 of mine whos uncle is lee mcculloch has told me mervan celik will soon not be a rangers player as whyte will not pay roughly £240,000 to secure his services. Now a dont know if this is 100% but this is what ive been told and I've no reason to doubt what hes told me. However ed seen has he has actually played for them would they not incur some sort of penalty?

Believable11 Unbelievable6

Ed have you heard anythin about this at all? And what would happen since theyve played him? A dont know the ins and outs of this sort of thing

Paddy {Ed007's Note - The money is due. The ramifications of not paying I am not 100% sure. I would need to ask Ed002 and she is in the South of France just now (I think, or USA). I will message her and see her take on it, the legal and contracts stuff is her speciality.}

Agree0 Disagree0

No bother cheers anyway, Its just that its not happened before so not got a clue how it would work. God having to go to a woman as well for the ins and outs ad never thought ad see that day lol. Keep up the good work as well ed your doing a grand job

Paddy {Ed007's Note - Paddy Ed002 is very well connected. Her job is very high profile and important. Her connections at all top clubs around the world are unbelievable. Anything to do with the laws of the games, contracts etc she knows. It is her that helps keep me up to date with Man Utd targets etc. Who Ed002 doesn't know in football aren't worth knowing. And she is a wee honey BTW. She has sent me up special edition Pink Floyd autographed stuff the lot. It would actually cause the world to end if anyone on this site knew who she was. And no, sadly she is not Hayley McQueen. I have offered her on many occasions to be her bit of rough, but she says I would be a bit of rough to her housekeeper never mind her. I sing this to her full of Buckfast at Ed get togethers at her Sandbanks lodge

The thing is mate my uncles Uri Geller and he told me your a Spoon...dont tell lies pal..dont you think that you lot should talk about your own team? I mean read the top line mate its the celtic rumours page anyway just keep gloating about how bad we are as I believe as always in recent years it will come back and bite you in the backside and although you may laugh all season at us the teams that laughs last laughs the loudest remember inverness last year pal.....

Tam-Sir 1873 I can probably guess this wont get posted as your ED is one of the most blinded I've came across...

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for posting that for me ED....and by the way I'm about to crack open my buckfast right about now...

Ed

What would be the reasons for other clubs to be asked to vote to let another club remain in the SPL?
ive heard a few saying a club in admin would need other clubs to vote for them to remain in the SPL
i think that vote would be if it was liquidation at another club

Lubo25 {Ed007's Note - There is an SPL Board. The current members are Ralph Topping (SPL Chairman), Neil Doncaster (SPL Chief Executive), Stewart Robertson (Motherwell FC), Eric Riley (Celtic FC), Stewart Gilmour (St Mirren FC) and Rod Petrie (Hibernian FC). Topping only has a vote if a decision can't be made. If 3 out of the 5 others vote a team in then that is enough.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I think a decision of this type is reserved for all members (each team has one vote). It is not a board only decision

Mervan Celik was signed 20th january and they have 30 days to pay his old club Gais roughly £280k compensation. that gives them another 10 days to pay up .
could it be that they have'nt payed as they know within the next 10 days the club will be administration?

Lubo25

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Don't even then they would think that far ahead - they're just bl00dy chancers.

Agree0 Disagree0

No, we cant just go into administration for not paying the fee.

How can anyone say unbelievable?Ive got the info in front of me.Fud.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks JB. I think that works out well. Get it out the way early and it means we only play one more mid week game for the year, which means better health and fitness for the players.

Here is an interesting story my brother has passed on to me from down in Plymouth about Celtic leaving thr SPL! My brother works with a lad that's father is a member of the FA Legal Department and it has been claimed that there are already steps in place for us to move in to English League 2 in a couple of years! Apparently there have been ongoing discussions at board level with the FA for this to happen, meaning we would have to earn out place in the Premier League from the bottom! Personally I can't see it happening and I don't want it to happen but my brother and his mate are adamant that this will happen in the next few years! what does my fellow site users think of this idea?

Scorer Bhoy

Believable4 Unbelievable29

Nonsense. Not that it will ever happen anyway but Celtic wud have to enter far lower than league 2.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scorer Bhoy? Damn autocorrect on iPhones! Scotty Bhoy!

Agree0 Disagree0

Mince. No way Celtic would agree to such a stupid move.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think what will happen is the big teams in the EPL will get invited to join a European Super League some day and the rest of the teams that will be left will demand the Old Firm to take their places so their crowds wont dwindle too much.Maybe we will get the invite to the European league some day but until the Old Firm are stronger then that wont happen.We would be the whipping boys as i can only imagine the riches the main teams will get for leaving their leagues.

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

No Chance of starting in League 2.
it was confirmed last week that all applicant meeting the criteria for the english league must start at the very bottom which is nine leagues away from the EPL.
Just like afc wimbledon and manchester had to do, there will be no exceptions.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jungle Bhoy's comments are the only realistic chance of anything like that to happen.

Would love to see a British league cup like the 1 that was talked about a few years back.

If we had enough money to bankroll 3 seasons out of EPL as you say then I'd love it to happen but can't see it.

Richybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream on. Could never compete with the big teams in England. Teams like Newcastle and spurs are twice the size of celtic. Whipping boys!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sure the last post re whipping boys was only a joke.? Celtic are 1 of the biggest teams in the world and after a few years would be up there fighting for the league.
Teams are scared of the old firm joining their league

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic have over 60000 seater stadium, how many English teams can say that? not chelsea or liverpool, Glasgow is third largest city in uk. Celtic is a world wide brand. How many times have Newcastle and spurs won European Cup 0 Celtic 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay fair enough, maybe not whipping boys, but the days of European glory and competing with the top teams in Europe has gone. Spurs and Newcastle and teams alike will continue to grow. Scottish football is dying a very very slow death. If people thought it was bad before, it will be even worse now with Celtic running away with it every season. Money will be leaking out of Celtic everywhere. They may have the biggest and best squad, but even if they go on to dominate in Scotland they can't compete away from home in Europe. You can argue but the facts are there. {Ed007's Note - Celtic have the 10th highest matchday revenue in Europe, Rangers have the 14th. Not bad going for such a rubbish league. Man City are 18th, use that as a gauge.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Never mind how many times have they won the European Cup,how many times have they won anything?

Jungle Bhoy.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find money is leaking out of most of the EPL teams and if it wasn't for the billionare owners they would be in a very similar situation to rangers (30mill pot 70 mill in debt) Man utd/Chelsea (500mill+ in debt) {Ed001's Note - except that in most EPL teams cases it is the billionaire owners that are spending the money that has put them in debt. Clubs like Stoke and Wolves are certainly not in any kind of money problems, they are very well run and make consistent profits.}

Has anyone else saw youtube clips of brozec?he looks a proper penalty box poacher.also i think that we now have at least 2 Quality players for each position now and maybe another 10 who could do a job.#lennonsourleader

Believable9 Unbelievable2

NEVER just anyone by a youtube video! They are made to make a player look better than they are, or worse. Only time will tell if he has been a good signing!

had to laugh when i saw the daily ranger saying cousin knocked back £20,000 a week from birmingham to sign for £7500 with rangers sad thing is the orcs will believe it ha ha
bigD

Believable15 Unbelievable2

Willie mackay, cousin's agent, was on clyde last night quoting a figure of 5k per week. time for you to laugh louder

Agree0 Disagree0

Just read this which put a smile on my face "When a friend asks for help, I help. I said earlier this week I wanted to return to Rangers because of Ally." ...my @rse

Agree0 Disagree0

So has he signed? Nothing on the bbc website yet. I had expected Whyte to chuck a wee hissy fit after Willie Mckay was taking the p out him on ssb last night. {Ed007's Note - Not yet.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I had to laugh when i read fat sally saying that signing him could turn their season around.

Ian

Agree0 Disagree0

Saying he'll sign today by fax on the bbc now (no medical? you'd have thought they'd have learned from Prodan). I take it that means he'll serve his outstanding suspension against Dunfermline now which probably explains the urgency to get it through.

Agree0 Disagree0

Even better one of them is shouting about sign hitzelsperger thats right the german international LMAO when read it

Has Baba Diawara officialy joined Sevilla?. I know there is a video of him being shown to the fans but
I read an interview about him and the Martimo president stated he had not fully signed for Sevilla. {Ed007's Note - He came on as a sub for them against Malaga last weekend.}
