If we were offered the chance to take Benkovic again next season I'd bite Leicester's hand off for it - provided it wasn't a sweetener for a move for KT or CalMac. I know a lot of people don't like developing other team's players but every one of our CB's has looked better when playing beside him and if we could get him next to Jozo or Ajer for a decent period then it might develop them into the same sort of leader who inspires their team mates.

I really rate Benkovic. His passing can be superb. I think he's easily worth spilling some of that Dembele loot if he'd be willing to come permanently.

Rogic was awful yesterday, that Flanagan cleaned him out and he chucked it. Lustig can get tae as well. He couldn't get off the pitch quickly enough. For all his posturing and mouthing off he's rotten. We've taken to him because of his antics against them but he was an embarrassment yesterday.

We've taken to him because he's been a fantastic servant for Celtic. He was injured at the end of the last game and should never have been on the park yesterday.

Rodgers has been quoted over the weekend saying if Benkovic is going out on loan again it will be to Celtic. Benkovic has said today he's been asked by Lenny to stay.

NL has been guilty of taking risks with players carrying injuries a couple of times now - and I know players will assure the manager they are OK, but in that environment we needed 11 fit, able and up for it.

He'd have been better with one leg than tohjlan and he's been on the bench for weeks so am guessing he's fit.
