As far as I am aware we have one of the best medical, sports science and sports injuries teams not just in Scotland but in Great Britain.
So why has the injury/ injuries suffered by Tierney not been diagnosed and a treatment plan set in motion.
The lad has had this problem since before Christmas, if he required an operation he should have had it by now and well on his way to recovery for next season. No it looks like the Celtic medical team have been slow to diagnose the problem and then put a recovery plan in operation.

I would be slow to judge the medical team without all the facts. Is it possible that a young player (or any player) doesn't reveal the full extent of his injuries as he wants to play and is prepared to play through the pain rather than be benched? Surely a doctor to diagnose needs all the symptoms but only a patient can reveal the symptoms. It is also true that when a player says I'm not fit to play he gets slaughtered on here and even by the manager (Boyata being the point in case) . I think what you say Timalloy is a possible theory but not the only theory.
