Is there anything to the story of Celtic being given an automatic cl place every season ed.

Definitely mate, it's funny tho when u think of the opinions on the closed shop a few months ago, then we get a sniff of the knickers n bang we're for it. Not a dig at anyone on here by the way just fans in general.

A 'Champions League' should be for champions - not 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed teams to make (even more) money for just being adequate.
The tournament has been pockled and stage managed for years by UEFA to cater for television and corporate fat-cats to the detriment of the game they proclaim to represent fairly and without prejudice.

Once a bhoy, Celtic's unique European Cup win should ensure that we are in the tournament . I don't care who gets in from the stronger Countries or how many . The idea of a Champions only competition has no chance . The like of Liverpool and Manchester United and City would be more attractive than Champions of the occ. 6 and Estonia for example.

As a football competition, the CL has no value whatsoever. Merely a rich persons plaything. Won’t be long until it becomes similar to one of these pre season invite only tournaments that no one can be that arsed about. I personally don’t care if we’re not in it, won’t even buy a can of coke with the logo. When the ad revenue falls, they’ll soon take notice. It’s up to ordinary fans to starve them into change.
