It's been a while so plenty to discuss. Just my take on what's happened on and off the park since the summer so any feedback welcome.

I'll start with the main issue, Brendan Rodgers. From the outside looking in it looks like the McGinn saga was what started a very strained relationship between Rodgers and the Board. From that moment onwards i think he made up his mind to leave and the Board were aware of it. We then have a situation where another transfer window comes around and we are expected to get things right. On paper it didn't look too impressive, loan signings and projects like Bayo and Shved who will have no impact this season. Have to say results since have shown the Board got it spot on, why would they give Rodgers x amount of cash if he had made up his mind his future was elsewhere. Guys like Burke and Weah 'get it' and Burkes comment that he is here to play for Celtic and it doesn't matter who the manager is was class, would love both these deals to be extended.

This brings me to players positions, Rodgers had his flaws and this was one of them. How many times have we seen players out of position. McGregor at Left back at Ibrox, id have rather seen a youth player there so that we had McGregor 'our player of the moment' doing what he does best. We also have Calvin Miller, a player who was voted best youngster on the planet (Left Midfield) . Rodgers could have ruined this lads career before it has even started, yes great that he learns how to defend but as i said previously on here let him go express himself with the ball, long term we can have himself Johnston and Oxo-Flex all fighting for that position, his natural position. Hopefully the new Manager ends this failed attempt to make him a left back. There's countless others. Add to this not dropping favourites who were playing badly, or being unable to change tactics against teams that were quite simply better than us proves he had plenty flaws. In my opinion he also handled the Boyata situation badly.

Moving forward we currently have a nucleus of great young talent, Ajer, Henderson, Tierney, Johnston, Ralston, Miller, Forrest, Christie, Oxo-Flex, Dembele, Church, McInroy, Aitchison etc so the future is bright. If we can continue to add to this group with one or 2 quality additions each window i will be happy. We also have Griffiths return to look forward to, i have missed seeing him play. People can point fingers all they like about who's right and who's wrong but when you look at the facts, on and off the pitch we are in a very good position. Yes, plenty work to do in the summer but we have a good base to start from. I really have no idea on who the new Manager should be, I think if Lenny gets the League and Cup in the bag he will be given the chance to go for 9, i have no issues with that although i would also have no issues with the club looking elsewhere if the right candidate was available, to take the club forward on and off the pitch, like Rodgers did in many ways.

Sorry for the 'story like' post but it's been a long time since posting and i've not had the chance to read the site for months so again sorry if you have had to read or reply to similar posts constantly. To cut a very long story short there is life after Brendan Rodgers, I thank him for his success but he has been wiped from our history books as far as i am concerned and i hope he never returns. The building blocks are in place for a bright future at CFC, as long as we do not get complacent and continue to grow we will be ok. Looking forward to the Treble Treble and the rebuilding this summer. We will become stronger without people who do not wish to be at our club.

Let's all get behind the club, Lenny and the players and see where we are in May.

Great post Stan totally agree.

Griffiths is a major concern for me though, I would be surprised if he played for us again. Hope he is on the mend but concerned at some point he may decide not to play again. Would be a shame if he did, but end of the day health should always come first.

Excellent post Stan and I hope we see Griffiths againin the green and white because in my opinion we would never be able to sell him. I say this because as some of those in lala land think Morelos is worth 30m then Griffiths is PRICELESS.

Very good summary Stan - and I only want to add my appreciation and support for NL and the players during this turbulent time; producing two great wins in Edinburgh inside a week (despite Collum lol) and if they carry on this winning run against Aberdeen on Saturday, it will be a magnificent reflection of the players focus, ability and appetite despite massive disruption and distraction.
Well done Celtic.

Good post Stan, good to see u back! Only thing I disagree on is I wouldn't thank Rodgers he should be thanking us. He used us to his advantage and left when we were no longer needed, he's shown us the true man he is, not a celtic man and never was.

As everyone has said great post Stan.
There's no point in looking back we all have to move forward and support the Bhoys to the Treble Treble.
On a plus note, as your post was so sensible. Any ideas on how to sort out this Brexit nonsense! 😂😂.

Sorry GT10 I only write 1 sensible post per season so that's me all out already 😂.

By the way, just realised something. Griffiths has a far better goals per game ratio and scored against better teams than rapid Vienna in Europe compared to Morelos. How much is Griffiths worth if Morelos is allegedly 20m.

What about his goals for Scotland against In-Ger-Lund.
Priceless.
