Under the circumstances I think Lennon as interim boss is fine. However, if he's appointed permanently in the summer then for me it's a backwards step. Clarke won't take the job. Celtic need to appoint a manager that will continue the professional standard set to the club and players by Rodgers. Lennon won't do this and, to be honest, has shown he can be a liability at times.

Bit unfair for me. professional standard that got better results in Europe than Rodgers btw am not saying he's the answer but who else is there anybody that's worked with lenny speaks about his high standards. liability on what respect getting abused at every ground in Scotland even by the papers remember the daily ranger with there tax man jibe and he has the temerity to stand up for himself.

Now I ain't saying I want Lennon as a full time manager but why would anyone rate Clarke higher than him.
Lennon has both league winning and champions league experience.
Clarke has none of that.

{Ed007's Note - I don't rate Clarke higher than Lennon, Kev Lennon's CV is far superior to Clarke's. I pointed out last week about Clarke's age and his lack of experience etc but he is a fantastic coach and would be a better assistant manager at a Club of our size - he would have been an ideal No.2 to Deila.}

I'm still hoping we go for Marco rose, come summer he will only have 12months left on his contract. Good European experience, plays good football and although I don't know much about the club's finances I would imagine their signing policy and transfer kitty is pretty similar to ours.

I always though jim Duffy should have been ronnies number 2 ed.

Great if we could get him Wyllie but I can't see him moving from Salzburg to us sadly.

Why does it matter if any ones got league winning or champions League experience?, you might be the best driver in formula one, but if you are driving the slowest car, someone driving driving the fastest car, like Lewis Hamilton, will keep beating you.
As for Clarke being Ronnie's assistant, I think you have that the wrong way round, Ronnie could be Clarke's assistant, just in case Clarke needs someone to make sure that the players are getting the right nutrition.

Fastest car doesn't always win, its about experience and knowing how to drive smart. so who would you like as next permanent manager? Would you be happy with someone with no top level managerial experience like Gary Caldwell?

I would let Lennon, have a go, thought he was doing alright at Hibs for a while, Rodgers is a good man manager, Ronnie wasn't, Lennon will have matured and is more experienced now, he should be better now, it's a gamble.
Put Hamilton in a slower car and then see how many races he wins.
