Tell you something we are really lucky brown didn't jump ship because he's going to be seriously important here.

We've got experienced pris like broony kt and sinc plus boyata jozo lustig these guys should get us through this.

Have to agree. KT has proven experience beyond his years. Steady ship until the league is secured.

The next two games will be a huge test of the players mood, moral and mentality. No idea how many of them had any clue about this bombshell but it's imperative the support and players focus on what's more important despite this huge distraction and aftermath.
We are still in a very strong position, with the same players that got us there and I suppose a bonus is NL hits the ground running with a point to prove and a chance to make some history of his own?

100% agree there Kev. It can’t be underestimated how important brown will be in what’s happening right now. However I think it was maybe Ed who mentioned this earlier, I’d love to know what Rodgers said to brown before he signed his 2 year deal recently because I doubt he’d have told him it was his intention to jump ship at the first opportunity.

{Ed007's Note - Rodgers must have spoken to Brown to tell him where he stood for the next two years and his plans for improving the team. What if - and it's a huge if really because any new manager would be happy to have someone like Brown in there and on his side just like Rodgers did when he took over - but what if the next manager doesn't see any future for a 34-year old Scott Brown in his team? He might not like Brown's gallus swaggering image and there's a personality clash, he might see him as too slow in the legs or too negative in his gameplay, where does that leave Brown?
From the outside and with what little information we do know, if I was Scott Brown - any Celtic player in fact - I'd feel massively let down by Rodgers today.
And if he does come in for any our players I hope they remember and take heed of the way Rodgers has conducted himself over the last 24 hours.}

Bitton back in the side, big Eddy hitting form again and believe Ntcham will come on to a game not forgetting wee griff must be nearing a return. Plenty left in the tank and more to come.

Agree Kev, makes Brown's deal the best bit of business in the window.

Has worked with Lennon before, knows what is going to be expected and will be there to lead the team on the park. This situation without him and other guys like KT and Calmac would be a different ball game.

Onwards and upwards with guys who really know what it means to be Celtic.

If u believe the reports OAB it states rogers told the players yesterday that he would be going for the Leicester job.

100% spot on Ed I hope all the Celtic players remember what Rodgers did today if rhe opportunity ever arises to play under him again. An imposter with no principles.

{Ed007's Note - I thought he would have learnt his lesson from his time at Liverpool, obviously not.}

26 Feb 2019 19:19:23
Ed I've lost all respect for Rodgers. As said earlier that was a done deal. We have cut head off rattle snake. In a few seasons Rodgers will be "I should of stayed"

{Ed007's Note - It just shows the level of his arrogance & ego, Phil.}

NL beat Barcelona. BR didn’t.

26 Feb 2019 19:22:12
This is how it feels to be Celtic I’ll tell u what 21 hrs on a bus following the team I love that’s what it feels like to be Celtic I’ll be here for ten in a row . dream job he says team I love he says aye right no one is bigger than our club here we go 10iar.

26 Feb 2019 19:22:24
Do you think it was assurances around playing time that convinced Brown to stay? I think he’s been long enough in the game to know next season it’s unlikely he’ll be a first choice pick. Maybe his ambitions are to move into a coaching role and Rodgers was prepared to facilitate that as per kolo. Which does reiterate your point Ed however I don’t see Rodgers being the mitigating factor in Brown’s decision. Who knows what discussions would have been based around.

26 Feb 2019 19:39:26
I've read things saying rodgers had nothing to do with Brown's contract talks and it all went between brown and lawwel.

{Ed007's Note - That's right but they would still have chatted about the footballing side of things and where they saw his place and career going over the next 2 years.}
