Well that's my fiend on his way back down to England having visited family and friends up here, Mrs T gave him a send off lunch then I took him to airport. He told me he sometimes read the Celtic banter pages but never knew "Timalloy" was me, he promised to read it more often from now on.
Over lunch he told me some other wee snippets of information. Apparently, Brendan is aware that some fans do not rate John Kennedy as a coach, and that he only got job out of sympathy. But my friend said, Kennedy gives good input and is not afraid to speak his mind, and also being younger is more on the same wavelength as the players which Brendan thinks is a plus. But Kennedy and the other coaches carry out the manager's instructions on the training pitch.
My friend then told me that although the manager is confident of players coming in, we, the fans, should NOT be expecting big money signings, the manager said signing Odsonne was only made possible by other monies coming in to club, like VVD extra money and better sponsorship revenues.
Players WILL come in, but on the current wage structure and probably only 2/ 3 in January, with perhaps the same number leaving the club.
Apparently plans are well in place and "Mr Lawwell knows who I would like" said the manager, so we will see what transpires.
My friend said that Brendan was surprised of the impact Stevie Gee has made, but jokingly added "he could hardly make things WORSE"
I asked how the manager felt about the way our players were treated by McLeish but my friend said Brendan had his own thoughts but left all decisions to the likes of Griffiths, Tierney, Forrest and Gordon etc.
My friend left me in a positive state of mind and said "IF the manager gets what he wants, watch Celtic GO".

I like the positive spin but a few of BR's signings leave a lot to be desired.
(not having a pop at BR as I think he has done a marvelous job. I would have loved to see BR as manager and Delia alongside as assistant)

Tim, I don't know who you know so I can't comment on that but I do think you try to make yourself the centre of attraction in many of your posts. No offence intended, absolutely none at all, and I'll be happy to hold my hands up and admit I'm wrong but your 'seance' with your mates is just sounding a wee bit far fetched. HH.

Bob the Cat, totally agree. Ed should retire and leave the site to Tim!
