Great result today, hopefully the start of a run of consistent performances. If we get to Jan top to close to it then we will pull away from the mob. We need serious in investment at the back tho, RB and we have a CB who doesn't want to be there and another who is on loan. Hopefully get at leat two in and a clear out of some of the players who need moved on;

Allan
Christie (if he can't get a game now then time up)
Kouassi (bang average at best)
Biton
Gamboa
Hayes
Benyou
DeVries

How much is that lot costing a week in wages, £100k?

I'd keep kouassi but send him on loan. Showed what he can do against the Russians at home.

Would offer him to Steve Clark at killie.
Would suit his team and the club treated Ajer very well.

I know it's 3 comments in a row but who is the CB we have out on loan?

07 Oct 2018 21:35:53
I’d keep Kouassi as well. He can’t get in the team because Broony’s outstanding but he’s willing to train with us and wait for his chance. We need players like that in contrast to Dembele and the like. If we can convince Boyata to sign a deal I’d keep him as well but it’s probably unlikely. I think he meant, we’ve got Benkovic on loan, Kev.

Like the idea of Kouassi going out on loan. Didn't BR send Ajer there to 'learn how to head-the-baw'? Think he needs to learn about positioning etc so a more winning team would be optimal. I think we'll probably keep him close and give him a run once the title is in the bag.

I'd just give Kouassi tae Killie👍.

Does chinks still think shevvy is ours?

07 Oct 2018 23:00:15
Cheers COYBIG. Though he meant we had one out. Though I missed something. 😂.

07 Oct 2018 23:36:27
No probs Kev. Maybe you can help me out, who’s Shevvy?

{Ed007's Note - Did Don McLean not drive one of them to the levy but the levy was dry?}

Big Sviatchenko COYBIG.

Ed . no . he drove his to the levee.

{Ed007's Note - I'd have never have guessed that spelling in a million years lol

What I tried (and failed) to articulate was that of the back 4 yesterday, KT is the only one who is likely to be there at the end of the season. Time to start looking for RB and 2 c CB’s. Unless Boyata has a change of heart.

08 Oct 2018 14:21:37
Cheers again Kev, BTW anyone WTF is a levy (levee) ? Chinks, I think there’s a possibly Boyata might end up staying and I thought Benkovic was a 2 year loan? Also I expect Ajer and Simunovic to be here, Lustig will probably play less so he will need to be replaced but we’ve still got Gamboa and contrary to what some think on here, I think Ralston has got real promise.

COYBIG, Benkovic is 12 months and they have option to recall in Jan. Despite Boyatas shenanigans I also hope he stays but doubt he will if he can double/ treble his wage. The badge means nowt to him or he would have played in CL. Ajer def one that might do a turn, JoZo has too many bomb scare moments and injuries. We need about 6-8 out the door and 2-3 quality replacements. BR needs to stop signing guys that are no better than what we have. He has done it again I this window.

Coybig it's a water barrier as in a dyke in Holland but these are in the state of Louisiana . it's what broke when new orleons got flooded.

Cheers DRB, it’s still a pish lyric. Whilst I wasn’t impressed with Boyata’s behaviour at the transfer window, I’m not convinced it was as bad as our press made it out to be and BR’s managed the situation well. I don’t blame him for not caring about the badge. He’s Belgian, he probably supports a Belgian team so he can’t be expected to have the same commitment as KT or Jamesinho but he should have some more loyalty to his teammates. However, he might now be looking at Armstrong and McGinn who could both find themselves relegated at the end of this season and think, ‘do I want to take that kind of risk at this stage in my career’? I think that’s why BR was willing to stand his ground with him. Dembele was a obviously a different kettle of fish as he’s young and would probably have caused more trouble if he’d stayed.
