Think Brendan has to take a lot blame for last night . we were holding them at bay all of the first half but getting overrun in midfield our two strikers weren't working as a pair or even individually . one if them should have come off at half time and another midfielder brought on. also thought if big eddy hadn't been so greedy in the run up to the disallowed goal we couldve scored earlier in that passage of play.

Big eddys work rate is zero and lustig is a liability.

A lot of us were keen to see Griff and Eddy play together, but it's very clear there is no compatibility in their styles and if anything they detract from each others effectiveness.
Neither of them seems capable of the hold-up play crucial in Europe and the vital support from Ntcham and McGregor was non existent.
The only real pass marks were KT (as usual) Mulumbu and Forrest and that is totally insufficient and unacceptable for a Celtic team.

Guys, this is a team that’s unbeaten at home domestically and in Europe in the last two years. What makes you think we should be able to turn up and beat them when the likes of Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, Shalke, Real Sociedad couldn’t? We need to remember that whilst we’re a big club, we operate in a small league with limited finances and a low co-efficient. Austria are ranked 24th and Scotland are 39th. I suspect Saltzburg played less qualifiers than we did. Forget who’s to blame and what our deficiencies are. We lost to a better team. That was our toughest game in the group and with a bit of luck and a rocking Celtic Park, we might take something from them. I think we can still qualify from the group.
