We never expect fairness, honesty and integrity from the SPFL/ SFA so it was a stick-on we would be sent to Edinburgh for the semi-final.
Why can't the national stadium (or Murrayfield) be used for both games on different days instead of yet more favouritism shown to TRIFC 2012?
As the first club out of the hat and the games now scheduled to be played ON THE SAME DAY - our game should have been given the proper priority of Hamden instead of the contingency location, where Hearts played home games recently.
Yet another chapter in the list of biased decisions and obstacles put in place by The Establishment to try and derail Brendan's Bhoys.
It makes it all the sweeter when we succeed and stick it to them.

I don’t see how it’s favouritism OAB. We came out the hat first which means we should have been the Saturday game, they were always meant to be the Sunday so why should they be moved instead? What’s the downside of playing at Murrayfield as opposed to Hampden? Hearts playing there recently means nothing, it’s not a daft 3G pitch it’s a top class surface which should suit us perfectly.

03 Oct 2018 19:00:31
And no reason from the SFA/ SPFL As to why it's the Celtic game that is going to Edinburgh.

03 Oct 2018 19:23:45
Surely as Pedro said it should of been a drawn out of a hat, only fair way and nobody could complain.

03 Oct 2018 19:26:03
Its always been about 2 clubs rangers and now sevco.

03 Oct 2018 19:49:25
Kevdhoy we play in Europe also our game was never pencilled in for Saturday both Servco and ourselves were both for Sunday because of Europe we were first out the hat also so IMO we should have had the national stadium.

03 Oct 2018 19:53:47
Agree Tony the Sat was never an option the spfl have bowed to the klan.

03 Oct 2018 20:22:50
“IMO” is the key part tony seeing as you’re a biased supporter and therefore see everything from a Celtic perspective. The games were scheduled one for Saturday and one for Sunday BEFORE we knew who the 4 teams would be, so surely the first game out the hat would have been played on Saturday and the second on Sunday - unless it suited all parties to swap i. e. us or Sevco getting knocked out and the remaining EL team definitely playing on the Sunday.

03 Oct 2018 20:46:43
Maybe the Scottish Rugby Union didn't want Sevco's thugs wrecking their stadium.
You couldn't blame them.

Kev; As I stated in the post - and others highlighted. It's not about Saturday/ Sunday switch - as both clubs have EL games.
It's about first team drawn given second choice venue.
Both semi-final games have merited Hamden Park for years, so they could easily have done that on consecutive weekends with minimum re-organisation of SPL fixtures as game is played to a finish.
This 'solution', also means we still have the scenario of four sets of rival fans attending volatile games on the same day.

03 Oct 2018 21:24:55
The point is Kev there should have been a draw atleast that way no one could claim biast. And yes I admit I do have green glasses but I stand by there should have been a draw for who was playing where. OPENLY.

03 Oct 2018 21:29:45
It's wrong to suggest first team out is the Saturday match as had it been Celtic v rangers and neither team was in Europa League then the tie would never be on a Saturday. All this moaning is going to serve no good we should be embracing this tie and not looking for excuses.

03 Oct 2018 21:54:05
Celtics statement is spot on!

03 Oct 2018 22:29:30
Jim if it had been us against them the game being moved to a Sunday would have suited all parties and wouldn’t have caused any issues.

03 Oct 2018 22:34:58
Didn't we use Murrayfield for home Euro games approx 3 years ago?

03 Oct 2018 23:14:07
I understand that kev but my point is that some people are wrongly stating we were first out and that has importance and it doesn't have any importance. Normally TV companies or police decide when we play but on this occassion I understand us going to Edinburgh as I stated why previously.

03 Oct 2018 23:26:08
From a fans point of view surely there's much more of a chance to get a ticket, there should be around 30-35 thousand up for grabs and more if they don't sell their 50%. I don't see the big deal with playing in Edinburgh.

04 Oct 2018 00:55:17
The problem withMurrayfield is that the groundsmen will have already started to let the grass grow long for Scotland's Home Autumn Internationals that start early in November.

04 Oct 2018 14:21:20
I don't think Murrayfield is a bad shout for a game to be played there. But I think a draw for each game would have been a fair way to do it rather than a desision behind closed doors. But now we have to just get on with it And hope that the powers that be will think in future to be seen as fair and not open them selves to speculation of biasness against a team. But I will not hold my breath for that one.
