Great news salcoats finally getting a statue of their famous Bobby Lennox. I had the pleasure of speaking to Bobby once about 5 years ago, total gentleman. I wanted to mention that he scored the first goal i ever seen as a celtic supporter. He remembered the goal well as he only scored 4 penalties for celtic. It was also his 300 goal out of his total 301 all round goals, taking in glasgow cup games etc for celtic. I am really pleased for him. In that same game Frank Mcgarvey scored his first goal for celtic. I spoke to Frank about 15 years ago and mentioned he scored in my first game but i didn't realise at the time it was his first goal for the hoops. And finally George Best played for Hibs in a 4-0 celtic victory. Some first game.

Went to the unveiling of Jinkys statue in Viewpark. Locals all turned out it was a excellent day.
Hope Bobbys is just as good. As you have pointed out he was a Celtic Legend. HH.

Not name dropping but know Bobby quite well and he's an absolute gem Celtic through and through.
