If any player does not want to be at parkhead then sell them.
Ad rather go with a bhoy fae the youth squad that someone that doesn't want to play for our jersey.

Agree3 Disagree0

Well said kev. Couldn't agree more. I have had enough of players rubbish this window. Love dembele but if Celtic get a right price and more importantly he wants to move then let him go. He served his time.

31 Aug 2018 08:42:31
I would let Moussa go personally. This is the time to get the prime price for him as there is no danger he will sign a new contract now and he will go for a smaller fee next year with a year to go. We are now going to have 2 very unhappy players in our squad come tomorrow morning.

I think our scouting and recruitment teams need to take a serious look at themselves. We should be prepared for every eventuality and have at least a list of targets should we lose a player at short notice. There has consistently been interest in Moussa and we should have had someone lined up to cover this scenario.

Come on kev, dembele has always been a model professional. The boy is from France and he clearly feels its a step up in his career.
The club have every right to reject any bids but the player also has the right to feel upset.
If he stays and as long as he remains professional I have no issues with him what so ever.
Playing a youth player is not the answer.
Dembele has done nothing wrong.

31 Aug 2018 09:04:29
Irishkiwi he has already been unprofessional with his tweets last night.
A blind man can see he's trying to get the fans on side against the club
Boyata down tools and missed games but quite rightly got dogs abuse for it.
Dembele missed the game last night because his head wasn't right.
Aye dead professional.

31 Aug 2018 09:06:26
I agree with kev, If a player doesn't want to be here then bye bye.

However, let's get real as well. The board clearly sign players under the promise that if they get a big bid then they will sell.

The board have broke that promise to two players.

This is yet another problem with the buy and sell mentality, aye financially you can balance the books. superb but you end up with too many players distracted.

Some players already are thinking about leaving us before they pass our medicals.

31 Aug 2018 09:07:29
Got told Lyon hadn't meet Celtics valuation. Dembele can stamp his feet all he wants. If no one bids Celtic valuation then he's not going anywhere.

With no time to get a replacement it will need to be a big fee.

31 Aug 2018 09:11:48
One of the key factors in our success so far has been our team spirit and only last season Broony was comparing it to the Sevco debacle. Now we seem to have two unsettled, unhappy players and that can really affect harmony and moral within the dressing room.
It puts us in a helluva dilemma; do we sell now and can't replace, or delay until January and risk getting less cash and have two players with other things on their mind and the fear of avoiding injury?

31 Aug 2018 09:22:10
We’ve always known that possibly 2 years into his 4 year deal dembele would probably go, Brendan has said as much numerous times which makes me wonder why have we been so short sighted in seeing this coming? What on earth is our management team and scouting network playing at? We should already have a list of potential targets for this situation if and when it arises. I fully understand it leaves us with no time to do much but , we’ll eventually agree a deal to let dembe go today which no doubt should get us an substantial fee but it’ll be the same old crap from Celtic in that “ we had to sell but had no time to replace”. very very poor from our side if that does indeed end up being the case. after tonight get shop of Lee congerton and his scouts and start again. At this rate we’d have been better sticking with John park.

31 Aug 2018 09:25:23
Tesla there is no way our board made promises to let player go just because big team come calling.
What will have been said is that come to us we will help you build your career and you will get your big move.
We won't stand in the way if our valuation is met.

Agent could have got a release clause put in as well remember.

These player signed a contract. If they wanted promises they should have them in the contract.

I couldn’t agree with Kev83 more! If a player is willing to play the “my heads not in the right place” card then it’s time to go. The only concern I’ve got is if Lyon haven’t met the clubs valuation then the club have every right to say NO and the player needs to understand that and continue to be professional. I’m also worried about a replacement so
Close to the deadline! Edouard and Griffiths are brilliant players but aren’t exactly injury free! HH.

31 Aug 2018 09:35:04
Guys, our club is not only incapable of buying players, they are also totally inept at dealing with player who want to move on. I suspect that today will end up with more negative outcomes than positives.
There is clearly a major breakdown in communication behind closed doors and it's feckin shocking that a club like Celtic can allow that to happen. I don't know who is at fault individually but between them there is a massive scrap going on and if history is anything to go by then Lawwell will win. And that's not necessarily a good thing. HH.

31 Aug 2018 09:40:34
"My heads not in the right place"

People saying get them sold. Is that at any price. If club valuation not meet how do you resolve the situation.

31 Aug 2018 09:46:19
Truth be told I don't want a like for like replacement.
All 3 of our strikers like to drop out the box to collect the ball.
I'd like to see and poacher or target man brought in.
So if we need to change our play it makes it easier.

31 Aug 2018 09:57:14
Manolo Gabbiadini, started on fire at Southampton but has fallen out of favour.

31 Aug 2018 10:03:25
Good point Kev. HH.

31 Aug 2018 11:27:27
Kev

I said exactly the same thing yesterday. All the strikers are 1 dimensional. I would sell and bring in something different.

31 Aug 2018 23:12:23
I'm sure there will still be maniacs who will back this board despite their failures which seem to get swept.

So far

1. Needed new CBs, didn't buy them and crashed out of the CL qualifiers to an average side with sloppy errors at the back

£40 million lost.

2. The manager has had complaints about not getting backed and now 2 players have had complaints about not getting promises met.

3. looking to sign a guy on loan that we could have got for £7-8mil a year ago, which we could 100% afford. Then we could have sold later for double.

4. Potentially losing one of our main players in order to make up for the money lost from gambling on our CL fate by choosing to spend absolutely nothing.

oh, except a big fee on Eddie which was covered by Armstrong and Sviatchenko sales.
