Did anyone else notice a flatness about the players yesterday? When we scored it was all very going through the motions, not at all like before where we looked to have players enjoying it all. maybe just a hangover from the CL exit, possibly i am seeing things that are not there because of the same, but it was iffy.

Very much so mate.

It was pretty poor until about 70 mins. Constant sideways passing again. Izzy was about the only player willing to play a pass forward.

I’m glad Rodgers noticed how poor it was after the game because otherwise I’d be worried.

Good performance from Gamboa though and although Bain didn’t have much to do I thought his distribution was very good.

If you looked at Brendan Rodgers body language during the game.
sitting down not like his usual self getting on the touchline. He looks fed up. So if he is not at it the players will not be at it. To be honest we looked poor. Can't understand fans saying it was a good performance.

Thought the game was really flat . No urgency at all . Even when we need a goal late in the game, we continue to pass sideways or back to the keeper 🙈 . However when the moose came on on I thought he showed a determined attitude considering he isn't fully fit . His tracking back late on to win the ball back should be a lesson to the other players who just seem to be going through the motions .

I too was surprised some were saying we were good. We were anything but. Ponderous and slow sideways play. We lacked the speed of attack we can can play and it was frustrating. We only came alive when Moussa and Forrest came on and they had scored through bad defending yet again.

The final 15 minutes was much better.

Rogers was right to say what he did, and I too was glad he did because if he had painted it as a good performance he would have been kidding himself on.

As were those claiming it was a good performance.

It showed me Johnson is not even close to being ready as a first team player and that he will find it impossible to hold s place with Morgan and Azani contending. He should be loaned out this window and see if he improves because I doubt he has the physicality to make it with us.

When Eddy comes back, we have another CB then we will be s force to be reckoned with, until then, especially in defence we are vulnerable. Even PT could score against us and that’s not on. I have absolutely no faith in Lawell or him getting us quality so the Boyata situation is one we need to swallow.

We simply cannot go into the game on Thursday with Hendry in the team. That’s something I think we should all be in agreement with. Unless someone is brought in who is quality and fit enough to play. and if you believe Lawell will make that happen you’re aff yer nut, then we go with Boyata.

I take it you were watching on British Telicom sports Johnnybag if you were in Glasgow you would have seen Brendan on his feet most of the game. Maybe not on his toes but he does have legs 😂😂😂😂.

There are a few good and accurate points above and we are definitely not at our best - or have been all year on one way or another - apart from a few highlights. That brings me to a possible reason for part of the current situation. We have went two full glorious seasons - one invincible - that will never be equalled and the next scooping up all domestic honours for a record double treble. This brings with it a subconscious complacency and over confidence that can make players lazy and careless at times and to be honest the only time we seemed to play anywhere near our best was when there was something at stake like a cup final or league decider and we need to rediscover the hunger, consistency and drive like we saw in the last 15 minutes a time firhill and of course take steps to sort out a defense that cannot keep clean sheets no matter who the opponent. There is still plenty of time to bring on a couple of decent players to freshen up and improve but on a brighter note - delighted The Moose is back and the play of Izzy linking with Sinclair was very influential and Gamboa (going forward) showed Forrest how to get to the beeline and cross = goal.

Getting Gamboa up the pitch when Dembele and Forrest came on changed the game and our intensity . Gamboa is much better racing forward into spaces .
First hour he was wasted as a right back along side centre defenders . Doing that allowed players to run at him and cause difficulties. He has enough speed to be up in their face as he could recover and catch most players.
Playing in advanced position means opponents have to try to defend against him and Forrest.
