I am a little disquitened by all this talk of "Rosenburg in crisis" "Celtic's CL opponents in turmoil"
Even he usually sane guys on Newsnow Celtic are predicting an "easy visctory"
Sorry, but this sceptical Tim has witnessed too many euro failures to take anything for granted.
Yes, I believe, if we play to our full potential we will win over 2 legs, but I think Rosenburg will give us a much harder game than a lot of Celtic fans are predicting.

I'm with you on this one Timalloy as there are very few easy games in Europe these days.
For that reason I never take progress for granted and am always delighted to make it through to the next round.
Last year we beat them 1-0 on aggregate and it was a hard game and although I put us as favourites to make it to the next round, we will need to play well to do so.

I am very sure BR will be instilling the same caution into the squad. There is far too much at stake for complacency and predictions and the fact remains they are 17 weeks into their season, while our campaign has yet to start; so it's important to prepare properly and make sure the players are 100% focused and committed.

I agree Tim, this will be an ask. This is a bad game to play inexperienced CB's as Bendter despite lack of pace is a good striker, and good strikers know how to drift off markers, our two will need to switched on for 94 minutes.
Like any Scandinavian side, especially at this time in the season, they will be fit and organised and keep the ball. Where i might see us getting at them is an early goal, big crowd, noisy, they might get rattled. Broony is the key in these games as he let's Oli free, who i think mwin it for us, to add the fifth man when we are right up the pitch.

Agreed they are champions a day no mugs.

I think if we were to play them and we were both in the middle of our respective seasons then we would win comfortably but they are way match sharper than us so that's a leveller right there. It will be hard games but I think we will get through over the 2 legs like last year.
{Ed007's Note - The Noregian league is on it's mid-season break and Rosenborg haven't played a league game since the 7th of July and aren't due to play another one until the 4th of August. They've only played Valur in that time and Wednesday's match against us will be their new manager's debut.
If we turn up and play the way we know we can we should put the tie to bed on Wednesday making the second leg a mere formality. Rosenborg are struggling in the league, in turmoil off the park and the players aren't happy but I'm sure some people will find something to put a downer on things.}

We should be treating this next two games with respect they are champions of there league BR will demand that and play with that in mind no matter who we play the situation Rosenberg find themselves in could enspire them to play the games of their season a team like this could be more dangerous so I hope for two professional games from us no matter the starting 11 and subs we use HH.

I am sure the gaffer isn't taking anything for granted. He will have the squad well drilled. Though i don't think it will be a cake walk I do think we will make it through by a couple goals.
22 Jul 2018 13:24:34
Agree Kev, BR will have them prepared as best he can and like you say hopefully take a couple of goals to Norway with a clean sheet.

Totally ed too much doom and gloom with some on here and it's not justified because we haven't signed this one or that one it's nonsense.

I know we should fear a wounded Nowegian, I wonder is there something different from what we are told about changing the manager and appointing the head of the academie as manager . Could you imagine any SPL team appointing the coach of a youngsters team to Manage a club . In Rosenburg's case the new man has already failed as senior coach, but that experience would be better than none.

The board didn't talk to any players before they sacked the much liked manager. So now their in a "the board should go before the manager.
So you should take this pretty easy.
