Show racism the red card have been quick to jump to Shae Logan's defence for an apparent offence. I don't recall any comments from them on any of the occasions when Scott Sinclair actually was abused.

They’ve called for Logan’s claims of racial abuse to be fully investigated - which of course they should be - and a quick Google search would show you that SRtRC have commented on the treatment of Sinclair (including comments where they actually called out the governing bodies over their silence) . You also say Sinclair “actually was abused”, are you suggesting that Logan wasn’t? And if so do you have evidence to back it up? Tbh this has been a bee in my bonnet for a while now, the fans try and say he gets stick because he’s a wind up merchant and general @rse, which he is, but that’s a cop out because he didn’t have any notable altercations with our support before the Tonev incident. Nobody even knew who he was and he certainly wasn’t booed before or during that game but then all of a sudden he’s being booed the next game? His antics more recently have given credence to the wind up claim but if we’re honest it started straight after the Tonev incident and his antics are a reaction to the stick he gets. I may well get a lot of stick for this but that’s my honest view and I’ve seen plenty of folk shouting that he’s a liar etc. and I think it’s extremely poor from a support who so often love to take the moral high ground over similar issues.

{Ed007's Note - I backed Logan against Tonev for the simple reason he was found guilty and we weren't privy to the evidence the SFA seen but this time I'm calling him out as a liar, I would bet my last dime that it never happened and Celtic should take legal action against Logan and the newspaper that manipulated the story, don't forget that not one single Aberdeen player or official has ever brought this up including during Logan's appeal hearing for his antics at Celtic Park for which he received a 3 match ban.

i can honestly say the only time i've ever heard racist comments at celtic park was many years ago against mark walters which was a disgrace , but all the games i've been to involving logan including thd match in question i've never heard any shouts that are remotley racist towards him hr gets abuse there's no arguing the fact but celtic fans racist i don't think so.

I agree with all of that Ed but as an anti-racism organisation SRtRC have to back an investigation into any claims of this nature and then hopefully if it goes ahead he’s found to be lying in this instance. The misrepresentation of BR’s comments are scandalous and it’s giving ammunition to some of the scummiest, bitter folk going.

{Ed007's Note - SRtRC should either speak up against all forms or racism including the rampant anti-Irish racism especially shown towards Neil Lennon or shut their mealy mouths. They're not fit for purpose and I wouldn't trust a bunch of morons like that to investigate an itchy ar$e.}

Celtic had black players playing that day, I'm sure that some of them would have spoken out had Logan really been racially abused.
Logan seems to act before he thinks. He made a complete fool of himself after the final whistle against us, for what reason I haven't a clue. His team had just had a great result, he should just have celebrated with his teammates and enjoyed it.
If players start to use the race card when there hasn't been any abuse aimed at them, then they risk the whole fight against racism going backwards as people will start not believing genuine cases, that is no use to anyone.
Logan would be better trying to improve his game and make sure he doesn't get any daft suspensions. Somebody at Aberdeen should have a word in his ear.

Yes I'm one hundred percent suggesting Shae Logan wasn't racially abused. Not even a peep was made at the time either from him or anyone else and seeing as he's the one slandering us, the onus is on him to provide proof. He's at it.

{Ed007's Note - That's why I think it's garbage too, there was never any mention of it even at his appeal hearing. The way he says he expects now means that it's happened before as well and not just at May's game, total and complete bollocks.}

It’s too convenient for the Lennon abuse to be labelled as “sectarianism” and not racism so they don’t need to get heir hands dirty with that. Anyway, I have no time for Shay Logan but it does bug me that many of our fans are adamant he lied about Tonev purely, it seems, because he was playing for Celtic. If it was one of our players who made the claim our fans would fully back them and it just doesn’t sit right with me and I struggle to hold my tongue on the issue.

{Ed007's Note - The Tonev incident wasn't handled well by a lot of fans.}

He's a wee rat with a chip on his shoulder because we always pump them simples.

09 Jul 2018 21:36:51
Logan is a nobody trying desperately to be a somebody! I didn’t believe it when he accused Tonev and I certainly don’t believe it now! U think a big mouthed clown like that could have kept his mouth shut since the end of last season if this actually happened? Don’t make me laugh! Not a word from him, his mananager or his club! A journeyman bang average at best player who loves nothing better than drawing attention to himself! And he knows he can’t do it in a football sense so this is how he gets in the limelight! I hope they open up an inquiry immediately and this wee bam gets shown up for the liar that he is!

If it happened it’s horrible. And it’s a pretty grim claim to make if untrue.

However you can tell by the words he used that it’s nonsense. I’d bet Logan didn’t even know he was going to say that until it came out his mouth.

1. There were thousands of fans there booing him etc and he managed to hear racist slurs from a small minority? Or is he suggesting there were many? Either way seems unlikely.

2. That would be a pretty traumatic experience. Yet instead of reporting it to his employer. He reveals it after being prompted in an interview nearly 2 months later. Hmm.

I think Logan would have agreed to just about anything the reporter asked him that day. He hates us with a passion. And he’s as thick as mince.

@VikingTim - Apologies, I thought you meant the Tonev incident which he did speak up about straight away.

09 Jul 2018 22:16:11
Kevbhoy I enjoy and respect your posts. A lot of them I agree with some of them I don’t but I always respect someone’s opionion. In this case I do disagree. I really can’t stand the boy Logan but that has nothing to do with the colour of his skin it’s to do with the way he conducts himself on the park towards our players and our fans. He really doesn’t impact the game when we play them so instead tries to antagonise our players and fans. That’s just my opinion. I only speak for myself. 👍🏻.

09 Jul 2018 22:30:45
Ice Man he definitely is a knob and does all he can to get a rise out of our players and fans but I just can’t accept that the stick he gets is nothing to do with the Tonev thing at all because it started immediately after that when he had only played against us a couple of times and without incident. In no way am I saying the stick he gets is racially motivated either, just Celtic fans being defensive about the club.

09 Jul 2018 22:52:21
You could very well be right Kev. I did all seem to stem from the Tonev incident and both sides have very much kept it going. I’m happy for him to keep to his petulant ways and have little footballing impact.

Here’s a fact about Logan
He’s rank

Sectarianism and racism should be treated with equal contempt - both are unacceptable
this weeks papers are filled with orange order
What a state our country is in.
Shows racism the red card
What about the deep rooted bigotry?
