I hope nobody has read too much into Gamboa having a good game today. He looked good at the last WC, got his big move to the PL and has played 30 league games in the 4 years since.

Nobody is getting carried away. I want him to play well so we get more money for him when he’s punted. But, fair play to him he did well, apart from one suicidal ballsup. He got away with it but it reminded me why he’s not good enough.

I'm not saying he is a world beater. I'm simply saying he hasn't had a run in the team at Celtic.
He disappears for months then gets thrown in against PSG, Barcelona or teams of that level, then gets his performance criticised.
Hard to judge unless you get a proper run of games. However if he can handle Neymar, even as a one off then I'm sure he can handle the SPL tbh.

I support him at the world cup cause he's a celtic player, simple as that.

Like 'Eric', Allen, Ciftci and Compper, BR clearly does not see Gamboa in his plans and although I want every current Celtic player to do well in Russia - I don't think he will be here next season.
