Chelsea fan here.
I wondered if any of the Eds knew what the problem was with Musonda and your manager?
We had a similar scenario when he was at Swansea and didn't play one of our kids .
I know Musondsa can be a bit moody but he hardly got a kick at Celtic even wirh the titlein the bag.

{Ed007's Note - Musonda's attitude and work rate wasn't what was expected of a Celtic player. Chelsea wanted Musonda to come up here to get fit, stay fit and grow up, they see him as very immature and they wanted him to work on his decision making during games whereas Musonda thought he was coming up here for a stroll in the park - he isn't the first and won't be the last to underestimate the Scottish game.}

Great post that Ed.

{Ed007's Note - Cheers, Stan.}

Spot on Ed and Stan, players with his attitude just make the job of recruiting players for Celtic so much harder .

You only have to compare Musonda and KT gents, both 21. You have one guy who probably thinks he has done it all, and one who is playing regulary for his club and country, has captained both and is winning trophies year after year. Although he did release a good statement i think the fact Musonda deleted all things Celtic including the players from his media acccounts shows how immature the boy is. Good luck to him though when he came i expected big things from him, hope he kicks on next season and gets game time somewhere.

Apart from attitude, he was simply too lightweight to play. He looks as if he is about 8 stone and got bullied off the ball too easily.

he clearly has some skill, but he really needs to be stronger for the British game.

Probably handle England easier as many of their teams don't play as physical as English teams once did.

Overall though, he would suit a foreign league much more.

It's almost impossible to compare a player like K T who is fulfilling his child hood dreams, playing full time permanently for his team and another youngster who feels he was sent to play for a club to show how good he is and pick up match experience, it is so difficult for some youngsters to fully settle at their temporary home and in their mind everyone else is to blame for their non progression .
Nothing was ever going to get in K T 's way not even a broken leg.

The difference in attitude is what has led to one being settled the other being a football nomad. I have no idea if Musonda will make it long term at Chelsea but he is never going to settle going to a different club every season. Reminds me of Islam Feruz.

Thanks Ed 007 can't say I am surprised and its a problem with quite a few of the talented kids at Chelsea unfortunately.
Too much money too soon doesn't help the situation either.

{Ed007's Note - Islam Feruz, what is he now, 22? And where is he now?}

He's at Swindon Town on loan Ed. Strangely he is still under contract at Chelsea. I don't even think he started for Hibs when he was there he came on a few times from the bench and made no impact and his year long loan was cut short early. Very surprised he is still on Chelseas books.

{Ed007's Note - I didn't even know he had been at Hibs or I just forgot. Ach well, he's minted and that's all that mattered to him.}

Biggest waste of talent I've seen in my life. I'm sorry Tommy Burns ever set eyes on him, he wasn't worthy of his time.

Funnily enough just read Scotland under 21 player Harvey St Clair has left Chelsea to join Serie B side Venezia, citing Liam Henderson as "a great example"
