Let's get SA out to WBA on a swap with James mcClean, get him out on the left, he would soon put the fear of God into the opposition and would score midfield goals for fun,

James McLean at 29 nearly 30 has scored 44 career goals do you honestly believe he would start scoring goals for fun if he came here? Is being Irish and a Celtic fan reason enough to take an average at best player? Imo he's no better than hayes.

DRP I agree with some of your post and disagree with other bits.
I really don't think a lot of people would want McLean if it wasn't for the fact he was an Irish Celtic fan.
But he is better than Hayes.
But he is not better than Scott Sinclair.
He would make the squad better but no way would he be an automatic starter.

James McClean for Stuart Armstrong are you serious Malika? , James McClean is not good enough to get in our team and is nowhere near as good as Stuart Armstrong .

I agree. McLean should be no where near Celtic. If Armstrong wants to go that's fine. We don't need to include him in any swap deal. CL qualifiers start in 4 weeks and we need some players so I am getting slightly worried about where we are so far. We need players in for pre season which starts in 2 weeks. BR and the Board need to get the finger out or this is going to be another disappointing window.

Johnnymac u at the wind up! Get the finger out, the transfer window has just opened! Wee bit early to be worried about disappointing transfer windows bud! Lol. brendan will know what we need and the positions we need strengthening in!

Sometimes we look too much through green tinted specs when it comes to possible targets and lose sight of the quality of the current squad, the formation and style of play we favour and the ability and value of players in a very over-inflated and exaggerated market.
The current trend has been to nurture and develop young talent, whether it is Celtic Academy sourced or otherwise and the only time we should compliment this is by adding real proven quality that will definitely improve us in Europe and maintain domestic dominance.

Although you cannot really compare them because they play in different positions, Armstrong is ten times the football talent that McLean is.
