With West Ham signing Ryan Fredericks and also having Zabaleta, Sam Byram could be a cracking option for us at right back. Good attacking right back and still young at 24. Had injury problems last season though.

If we were to be interested in signing Sam Byram from West Ham, we would need to take every possible precaution against him been injury prone in the future, last season's injuries nearly cost us dearly .

Jesus christ! What is it with the right back obsession? Ralston has to be given a shot to understudy Lustig, who will need to be used carefully after a world cup. This is BR's way remember.

Ralston will be given a chance, but I have my doubts he is good enough. I absolutely hope he is but it is a gamble. I don’t think we can gamble and would want better. Ralston is strong and full of running but lacks or lacked whenever I saw him, a good touch, ability to dribble and doesn’t or didn’t look up enough when trying to make a pass.

He may have improved his game and I hope he has. Being a dyed in the wool Tim should never be enough or we would all be in contention.

Is byram am any better not seen much but is that cause he can't get a game in a bang average hammers team.

We shouldn’t be going for anybody that isn’t better than what we have, unless he’s young and could improve. But, the CL requires men who can step in and improve us now.

You’re dreaming if you don’t think the right back slot is a major weakness for us. Lustig struggled big time last season yet Ralston was still sent out on loan rather than brought back in.

To be fair lm Ralston had been injured most of the season he was sent out to get games.
