Awright troops, no checked in in a while. Bit unfussed about this Joe Allen Chat. Really think that Christie could be a revelation in our team this year and would much rather big money went on a tidy CB who can cover RB too. Would love to see Ralston kick on thee as a starter but we'll see what pre season brings. I'm daring to dream that ED LG and MD will all remain Celtic players and so would love to see us bring in someone like St Juste and maybe Matt Hummels or Pique 😂😂😂😂.

Christie will not be a revelation as he will not get in the team, he is simply not good enough.

Rayman99 I agree, Christie wouldn't have been sent out on loan twice, if he featured in Brendan's plans.

What like ajer?

Can mind all the same rubbish being said about young McGregor.

Chris if he didn't feature in Brendans plan he would 1) still be at Aberdeen, 2) be sold, 3) not be offerer a new contract.

You said on the rumours page Ajers loan deal set him back 6 months. Even though the lad himself said the complete opposite, as did Brendan. You know better than the people involved though.

Christie is a player, there is plenty in him. I think like Ajer, it took a loan to make him a Celtic player. I also have a feeling we might line up in a different shape next season in certain games, you could tell the frustration from us all including BR with this 5-4-1 against us at home.

There is definitely a difference between players like Allen and Ciftci being loaned out because they should never have been at Celtic in the first place - and Christie, who BR sees potential.
The youngster has also been offered a new deal and with Roberts and possibly others moving on, it would seem he is in the managers plans.

Christie is a good player, the question should be, is he good enough for where we want to be?

I don’t think he is. I would love him to prove me wrong though. Time will tell.

I must have been watching the wrong games, quys on here talking about Joe Allen as being a creative player, he is no where near good enough to be the answer to Celtics need for a creative player, I wouldn't have him anywhere near the team.

Island Celt Ajer went out on loan for 6 mths . Christie went out on loan for six mths and then a season .
Did going out improve Ajer, I doubt it as he went to Kilmarnock and was coached by elbows McCullagh that he learned much . I think the loan to Killie delayed Ajer getting a permanent place on the Celtic team . You may remember when he eventually came into the Celtic team his hands were all over his opponents. It took BR and Celtic coaches many games to coach the McCullagh tactics out of him.
