I think DD made the statement knowing fine well BR is happy where he is.

Let's not forget how the SPFL is viewed outside of Scotland.
BR is a great manager for us and still has a lot he can achieve here.
I think Arsenal will be looking for a successful European manger. (BR does not fit that bill and really has not done much in Europe)
Will BR leave? At some point I believe he will.

BR's situation will revolve around going for 10 i'm sure. If we seal 8 of course he would want to stay and be the man who got our 2nd 9 in a row. No chance he would leave if we have the opportunity of making history. After that who knows extending records might be a huge carrot to him. a lot can be said for being happy in your work and home life.

Rogers Achilles heel is our Achilles heel. He can’t sort out a defence and we were humiliated in the CL because of it. He needs to show Arsenal, or any other “big ten†that he can remedy that. Another
shambolic defensive display yesterday shows he has still much to learn as his signing was abject yesterday.
If he took four windows and still hadn’t fixed the Arsenal defence, they had been hammered in the CL, how long do you think he would last? Not long.
I’m actually disappointed that he hasn’t killed the idea right now. He wants to go, let him go and get somebody in who knows what a defender looks like.
If he stays he needs to do it. Then compete in the CL, or at least avoid utter hammerings. He’s signed 17 players and only two played yesterday. That tells a story too that needs to change if we are to improve. Start with the defence please.

You can bet your mortgage money that Rogers was told the same thing ever player we sign gets told. Come here build up your reputation again and if the right offer comes along we won't stand in your way. We have worked this way for years.
Still don't think Brendan is ready to leave yet anyway though.

Why in the name of God would an intelligent man like Brendan leave a big club like Celtic to risk his reputation in England . Making a move once, that doesn't work out
( B R to L'pool ) is lucky . Doing it twice I would thing down right stupid .
People thought they would follow Ferguson, wasn't a wise move for either of the three .
If and when Brendan leaves us, it will either be the fans giving him too much shoite or board quietly telling him, or else he will see a project at a rather lower level that he thinks has wonderful potential and he will believe he can build something.
