Bit confused-been hearing a good few people (so much on here to be fair) slagging of Hendry's performance. Considering it was an away game debut where we went from bossing first 10-15 minutes to losing two key men, I thought he handled himself very well. I know we've all heard enough about that pitch, Brillo pad has to be fairest description of that I've heard but throw that into the mix and I think the boy did well. Thinks will come good in midfield too, where for me the real problems were. Musonda might be lightweight but he was everywhere and didn't stop getting into good spaces, needed to ball played to him earlier (or even played to him) every time he got to D on box edge. Forrest did my head in cutting in at top of box every time when he taking it to the line for cutback woulda been less predictable. Speaking of predictable, I'll let people finish my sentence on Sinclair themselves.

Baffled with the criticism of Hendry i thought he was one of our better players.

Hendry had a few shaky moments. Got caught out for pace a few times. Lost or gave away possession when trying to go forward, a worry. He may turn into a great defender but he isn’t near that yet and that’s what we needed right now.

He is a project. You never felt, this guy’s the real deal. You thought, ok but prone to making the same mistakes of the players he’s meant to replace.

No better or worse than what we have. Is that enough? Naw it’s no.

I thought hendry was decent . looks too have a good first touch . he did get caught out of position too much . and ran into trouble when coming out of defence. but first game with new team mates . musonda looked like what he is. an 18 year old with promise. has he the physical presence for the central midfield role? With Sinclair out of form wouldn't the better move have been to put musonda on the left wing?

A new player, still getting to know his team, tactics and role - in his first game (away) and he loses both defensive partners in the early stages should not be labelled or blamed. Especially when so many of his more experienced team mates were struggling to do even the simple things in a game we never really threatened to score.
It was a bad day, a bad performance and a bad result, for only the second time in two seasons; but we all know that we can (and will) play much better and have to put this down to a deserved victory for Steve Clarke and his team, who did their homework, while we didn't.

Except he's actually 22 this year.

Thought that myself drb, Sinclair can't beat the 1st man or pass a 5 yard ball to feet at the moment. I would rather see Johnstone or Miller given a chance, or like you say Musonda. Yes, he has been benched recently, but why not have an enthusiastic, fearless Johnston or Miller coming on.

Sinclair is one of our best players on form, sadly he has been nowhere near the standards he set last season.

Nobody was blaming Hendry. Just being realistic about his performance. There were times he looked good and other when he took risks and they could have cost us. That’s just what happened. The reason he is in focus is simply because he was brought in to make the defence better as we all knew it had to be improved.

I didn’t see anything that suggests he’s better than what we have. I hope he progresses and cuts out taking Boyata risks when his passing can’t find the man.

That can be sorted. He did ok for his first game, but it still fell short of what I had hoped we would bring in. In the game against Zenit, he would be 3rd choice with Simo and Ajer being ahead of him as both to me look better cb’s.

If the aim was to bring in better than what we had then I’m not convinced after yesterday’s performance.

He will definitely get a run in the team now, so the ball is literally in his court to establish himself. I hope he does it.

I’d have Musonda in there for Sinclair all day every day The now. Nail on head, doesn’t beat first man, doesn’t complete easiest of passes.

Kilmarnock won because of the terrible condition of the playing surface and the fact that tactical genius Clarke had narrowed and shortened the pitch . Our players bravely went about their job professionally until they saw 2 of our defenders injured by the playing surface within ten minutes of each other in the first half . From that on our players put their safety first and I certainly wouldn't blame them .
These pitches are absolutely fine if the club management want them to be fine but that certainly wasn't the case at Kilmarnock on Saturday .

Daviebhoy, I have no idea of what kind of a player Musonda will be for Celtic . I will be amazed if after his 18 mths spell with us he is anyway as good for us as Scot.
