So Craig Gordon has said he wanted the move to Chelsea last year. And now we have Demebele in a mess over Brightons enquiry and not in the right frame of mind to start against the mighty Brechin. I hope there is as many outs as there is ins this week.

Never understood the cg Chelsea thing. There's a hundred better for the role he'd have had there. Sure his self confidence would think otherwise but he'd have been #2 at most. Guess the pension pot wouldn't suffer though.

Gordon's comments are hardly endearing--what is he thinking? As to Moussa, he'll be grand. If Brighton and Palace represent the extent of his ambition however, he needs his head checked. Too many of Gordon's karate kicks maybe?

Honest question, do you think Brendan is being properly back by the board in the transfer market? I sense a change in BR and I think he is starting to get fed up with Scottish football.

If Brendan didn’t know before how hard it would be to get decent money out this board then he does now! Not saying he’s bored with Scottish football but he’ll know he can’t take our club to the level he would like to! Hope I’m way off, but I can’t possibly see us coming out this window stronger than when it started! But we’ve still got over a week of the window to go and I hope I get proved wrong!

I live in hope there will be change this week, there has to be.

I gave this Board stick for the best part of a decade for not strengthening after Seville and building from a position of strength. If they make the same mistake this window trust me i will be the 1st person to pull the guns out of the holster.

It is simple back Brendan and act like a big Club or hand over the reigns to the many wealthy Tims out there who would gladly invest to take us where we should be.

I still believe we will get as many as 3 quality additions in this week, i hope i am right.

The Board - in crisis - turned to him and he more than delivered.
OK he was backed initially and built an invincible treble winning side, but since then we have failed to address key positions in successive windows and it is obvious we lack CL quality.
However, the injuries we have suffered this season alone, coupled with a loss of form to certain players would have scuppered most teams, yet here we are 8 points clear top of the league, a trophy in the cabinet, into the 5th round of the SC and preparing for a tie in the knock-out stages of the Europa and we still have a week of the window to sort out a few deals - in and out the door.
I have never been a Gordon fan and hope he is replaced soon and as for Moussa - he is a far cry from the £40m player of last season and needs to concentrate on his fitness and form if he hopes to get that dream move beyond the likes of Brighton and another 5 months where he is will be better for him and Celtic long term.

That is something that has driven me to even more drink over the decades, only reacting in times of crisis. the board must know what needs to be done and if Brendan has real ambition to move us up a level he knows he needs players. He must have received assurances that he would be backed. I have no doubt about that and that is my pillar of hope for this window.

We all watched us in the CL and what needs to be done is as glaringly obvious as a guy dressed as a clown at a funeral.

I'll never do that again!

Rodgers knew fine well what sort of funds would be available to him prior to taking the job otherwise he wouldn't have taking it. We can't buy just for the sake of it and Rodgers wouldn't waste money on buying for the sake of it either. The CL quality of player we need to take us to the next level is very difficult to attract to this league. If a player is not better than what we already have then there is point buying is there? The board know Rodgers would not be happy if they failed to try and get any players he has requested if they became available.

This is where our scouting needs to come in. We need to find foreign young players as there aren't any of the calibre we need currently at the club or we wouldn't be in the position we are in. The talk of becoming a CL team had only one prerequisite, attracting better players. Are we saying we will never get layers again in the Wanyamma or VVD mould? that's what needs to be done because you're right, players currently at that level are almost always at clubs in better leagues and on a shitload more money.

We herd a lot abut how the guy we brought in was to scout, this is where he earns his cash.

Magicpole we are not the only team scouting players. Its maybe about taking a chance on them but loads of teams are scouting the same player.
