Good result and performance, just what we needed. Hopefully the first of another glorious run. Win our next 3 games and I think the league is won. Ajer, Brown, KT, Armstrong, Hayes and Johnston played really well. Really hope Ajer gets an opportunity. Feel he already looks as good as Boyata or Jozo and only going to get better with games. Love to get a lead in the league and see more of him, Johnston and Ralston as think they could be great HH.

{Ed007's Note - I thought Ajer was immense tonight, watching him you wouldn't think you were watching a 19-year-old.}

Ajer will feel hard done by if he doesn't start on Saturday. If you are good enough you are old enough. I don't care that it's Aberdeen he will cruise it aswel. He's gona be special and well done Ronny for giving us such a talent.

{Ed007's Note - He must have played his way into contention tonight.}

Been saying for months about Ajer! Boys definitely got something! And like ED says, he plays like he’s been about for years! Give the boy the games up to the winter break to see how he gets on! If I’m being honest but the lack of goals is a worry for me! Not one of our strikers has been scoring regularly! Is that the 4th game in a row dembeles been on the bench? And when we griff has been on he’s looked out of sorts! Big Eduoard is raw and has potential but the motherwell game aside he’s not been great! But tonite game was about 3 points and that’s what we got! Sheep next on Saturday, and a chance to stretch our lead even further!

Agree Ed, I know it's only Partick but with the possession we have in the league think he is already a better option and will only get better. Who do you think will play up front against the Sheep? Seems to be intent on giving Eduard a chance and Moussa is the type that needs games to play his best so can't be a case of resting him. Reckon he could be off in Jan. What's your thoughts?

{Ed007's Note - I'd be really surprised to see Dembele leave next month, I'll try and catch Ed002 about it. If he's fully fit I'd start Dembele against Aberdeen even for an hour or so to get him ready for the TRIFC game. If not Dembele it's got to be LG, Edouard is doing fine and creating chances but he's not putting them away, LG is the best natural finisher we have but he's a confidence player and a goal against Aberdeen would set him up nicely for some end of month skelping.}

Thought we played well enough, especially Ajer, Armstrong, Briwn etc, but just feel we over play the ball, and too slow to play a forward pass, and play sideways or backwards.

I think Dembele is off. Spent far too much time on the bench recently for there not to be something in it. Can’t be benching him all December just to play against Aberdeen and Rangers surely!? As already mentioned, Edouard ain't a natural goalscorer and Griff looks well off the pace. Should have tried 2 up front a few times this month to get them all more game time. Strikers need to be sharp and can only get that by having a run of games. Its not like we were playing well with 1 up front so why not change it. Rodgers is stubborn. Possession is his priority so always wants 3 men in the middle of the park.

{Ed007's Note - Isn't Dembele still struggling after that tackle in the LC Final? I might be wrong but that's been my thinking of why he's only coming off the bench.}

It was nice to see 4 academy players on the park. Big Ayer looks the part and spot on Ed. Edouards the same. If Dembele goes in the summer this lad looks a ready made replacement worth the estimated 7 million euros.

It's the old story, if you are good enough, then you are old enough, look at Hearts with those young guys, if their foreign signings had played better, those young boys wouldn't have got a game for a couple of years, by then, their confidence would have been on the wain, and they would have been moved on, the question is how many young, potentially great players at Celtic, will be lost, because they never get a good run in the first team, football is all about confidence, doesn't matter how talented you are.

if you have no confidence, you are doomed, people on here saying Celtic need to buy a centre back, but why not give Ajer, a prolonged run in at centre back, I, think the thing that Celtic lack most is a creative midfielder, and they have for years, but after listening to the posters on this page praising Ronnie for his healthy diet and high energy game, I don't expect anyone will understand how a player like Gianni Riviera ever got a game.

Never saw last nights match but sounds like ajer played a stormer, i noticed after the hearts game that he has put on a bit of timber when he was walking roung tynecastle, looks like a big bear of a bhoy.

I never caught the Hearts massacre, but I think we've got two world class strikers on staff. Griff really came into his own on international duty--very much a form thing as Ed says. He strikes a ball as good as nearly anyone you can think of. Moussa is also a form player I reckon, and he'd be my go-to guy every time, with one up. Now I think we need to lear to play two up. Sinky is playing inside and he's picked up tremendously, but the formation itself suggests we can accomodate the two best strikers for miles, and two of a minority in the team that are obviously world class (no disrespect to any of the lads) . Its a shame that BR only seems to see that up as a solution when things go ape$shit.
