Taking my 7 yr old to his 1st cup final today, he doesn’t know yet, thinks we’re watching it on telly with crisps n juice. Mass at 9.30 then I’m taking him for a nice breakfast to break the news. I’m very excited. Hail Hail. Mon the Hoops.

Brilliant way to do it Stu. Love stories like this, the next generation of fans being passed the baton. Piece of advice, not too many eggs or beans with that brekkie, and be near a toilet when you break the news, coz their wee belly will immedietly go into knots when it kicks in😁. Have a wonderful day both of you, 🍀🏆.

Brilliant Stu. my first cup final was 75 v Airdrie when I was 10. Remember it vividly 42 years later. Big Billy's last game Paul Wilson scoring 2 . the Red Diamond on the Airdrie top the lot. Also my dad's mates brother worked as a camera man for the BBC. It was Jam packed in the enclosure and I got lifted onto the commentary gantry for a vantage point and there was Archie Macpherson Willie Ormond and Billy Connolly. Memories for life. Hope your bhoy has the time of his life . who knows in 42 years time he might be posting something similar. Hail Hail ☘.

Fantastic Stu hope the wee man has a ball. Sounds like you've got his spiritual, physical and emotional well-being sorted today. It's a long long time since my first cup final and your post just about brought a wee tear to my eye. Keep the breakfast light though he needs a pie and a bovril. PS: I'm glad It isn't against the Govanites and he doesn't have to listen to their sectarian bile and can simply enjoy the spectacle watching his team play football the Glasgow Celtic Way! ☘️.

Enjoy mate , first one was 1985 as a ten year old great day, favourite was 1995 when big Pierre put six long years of hurt to bed with a diving header that will be forever ingrained on my memory , that's right kids Celtic once went six years without a trophy, can you imagine , lol 😁. That's why I will cherish today like it was my first, if we are lucky enough to win it coybig .
