Right Ed, Gents. Who's your top 5 most likeable Tims past and present and it does not have to have been players you have seen play.

I'll get things rolling with

Tommy Burns
Paul McStay
Billy McNeill
Bertie Auld
Keiran Tierney

Lustig just misses out.

{Ed007's Note - That's a tough one. I'd need to have Tom Boyd in there, Tosh McKinlay is a good Tim too, Roy Aitken as well. I can't pick 5 lol Danny McGrain and Davie Hay? Jimmy Johnstone, Stevie Chalmers, Bobby Murdoch Bobby Lennox. Look what guys like Jimmy McGrory done for the Club.}

Agree2 Disagree1

I think its an age thing. I could not choose 5
I am been fortunate to have seen several eras of Celts as my dad took me to games when I was just 5 so that would have been 1958/ 59.
Almost 60 years of following the Bhoys and try to choose 5?

15 Nov 2017 09:04:18
Not asking for our top 5 players just 5 that stand out where you liked their personality, humour etc. Some people loved Di Canio for his antics. some disliked him.

15 Nov 2017 09:26:03
Chris Sutton
Keiran Tierney
Tommy Burns
Bertie Auld
Tom Boyd

I pick Chris Sutton because of how he is now always sticking up for Scottish football aswell as his love for Celtic yes he can talk crap about us but he is honest when he does imo.

15 Nov 2017 09:38:42
I can't get enough of Sutton Gordo i think he's hilarious. I know he can be critical of the club but he is only saying what the rest of us have said. He wants improvement just as we all do.

15 Nov 2017 07:23:08
Aye now that i think about it its like going into a takeaway and choosing your favourite chip haha. Tom Boyd how did i manage to leave him out.

15 Nov 2017 11:39:45
Am the same lads, loved big Sutton as a player! MON best signing for me! But what he’s doing now always puts a smile on my face! For to long now we’ve had to listen to ex players like Walker Nicholas Provan and the rest putting the boot into our club, how great is it to actually have one of us telling it how really is! Yes he’s had things to say about us but it’s nothing I haven’t thought or said myself! Big mans a legend! Lol. my top 5 are,

Tommy Burns
Chris Sutton
Peter grant (loved the guy)
Paul McStay
Packie bonner
5 guys that all love the club there! HH 🍀🍀.

15 Nov 2017 12:25:59
How could u miss out Peter pointer grant.

15 Nov 2017 12:28:32
Larsson?

15 Nov 2017 13:03:48
Good choice mate i was a big fan of Bonner, met him for the 1st time v Dunfermline at East End Park in 1990. Was just 11 years old got photos taken with him. We drew 0-0 that day they had a decent team i think i remember seeing them beat us at Parkhead that season too. Peter Grant and The King of Kings definitely top Tims also.

15 Nov 2017 13:15:14
My hero growing up was Brian Mclair
Greatest Celt of my era has to be Tommy burns
Tosh McKinley is a great shout ed never realised how much he loved Celtic till he gave a speech at our Csc doo the guy bleeds green n White some of his stories are brilliant but if it's my top 5 I have to put Paul mcstay in there gave his all for so many years just wish he had won more.
Peter grant has to be in that list for me and then there is the one who could be the greatest bhoy ever kt who would run through a brick wall for the jersey tho in fairness so would most of them.
Brian Mclair
Tommy burns
Paul mcstay
Peter grant
Kieran tierney.

15 Nov 2017 13:33:24
Welsbhoy that 5 would have won the Tennenets Sixes without a keeper.

15 Nov 2017 14:34:44
Nae mention of wee Johnny Doyle God rest him . tut tut bhoys . add TB Peter the pointer . big Roy Aitken George McLuskey The maestro Daniel Fergus McGrain . aww feck it. everyone except Judy's ☘.

15 Nov 2017 14:38:42
Predictive text 😠 reply should have read Judas not Judys.

15 Nov 2017 15:05:25
Aye Pat he should be wiped from the History books. If only McClair had scored the goal at Love Street. Never got to see Johnny Doyle but i play the song by CATB often enough.

15 Nov 2017 15:16:42
i put players i've seen pat, my da says johnny doyle was best player he ever seen for celtic which is some accolade.

15 Nov 2017 15:29:17
My favourite 5 would be
McNeil
McStay
Sutton
Brown
Tierney. but like others have said, there are so many who’ve done so much for the club Mcgrain Hay Grant Chalmers Murdoch Stein etc etc 5 I don’t particularly like are
Mo Johnstone
Walker
Macari
Cascarino
Viduka.

15 Nov 2017 16:54:47
sorry got that wrong not johnny doyle got him mixed up with george connelly.

15 Nov 2017 17:32:02
McGrain is a great shout cjb77. It's fantastic that the club has some of these Legends still the club.

15 Nov 2017 19:02:56
My auld man said the same about George Connelly Welsbhoy . wee Doyle wasn't the greatest but he would have bled green and white if you cut him open. Getting sent off at Somerset when Skelping a ref with a cross ball and the header against Real Madrid will live forever. Agreed Stan. wipe Judas from our history.

15 Nov 2017 19:22:54
My five would be
Henke
BoBo
Sutton
Lubo
Tierney

Could be plenty more but loved to see these play.

15 Nov 2017 21:19:47
We could do with a Bobo now mate.

16 Nov 2017 07:34:43
Loved it when he absolutely done anyone and everyone.

16 Nov 2017 17:25:52
Henke
Boruc
Lenny
Bobo
Di canio.

17 Nov 2017 10:50:15
If your going on personality alone it's hard to leave Phil o'donnell, great player too but one of the most likable celts.

17 Nov 2017 10:53:03
No Gerry Creaney? 😂. I seen a few online who had said Danny Mcgrain told us to go away when we asked for his autograph. That's far better than any autograph! Paul Elliot, Tommy Burns, Roy Aitken, Peter Grant, Paul Mc stay, Brown and Tiereny.

17 Nov 2017 10:55:20
i was going to say that pat when did judy murray play for celtic? lol.
