John mcginn? Does anyone rate him enough to suggest he could make us better? Before the weekend I only had seen highlights of him and he looked pretty damn good. Heaps of players in his position already here though.

On that showing yes, at the game am more watching our players, but after seeing the highlights he was outstanding and he's a right unit now as well he's built himself up great range of passing to and was all over ntcham.

I see him as Broons successor.

He's nowhere near the level of scott Brown. Maybe in 5/ 6 years he'll be up to scratch but what age will he be by there?

Totally different player from Broonie and don't understand people making the comparison as a replacement. The nearest thing to Broonie at Celtic Park on Saturday was managing Hibs. ☘️.

Big Kouassi is probably our most Broonie like midfielder. Strong in the tackle and gets the ball moving forward.

Look at all the midfield options we have to choose from at present (when all are fit) and with Christie on loan and Henderson who can't get anywhere near the team - I really think it's an area we don't need to worry about presently.
Anyway, just because a player has a decent game against us doesn't always mean he can make the grade ( Ciftci, Hayes, GMS etc) .

By that logic we shouldn't sign any scottish based players. all am saying on sat showing he was the best player on the park and if we ignore him it could turn out another mccarthy who we should have signed when he was at Hamilton. but agree they don't all work out.

It's taken Scott Brown years to become the player/ leader he is now at Celtic. I don't think anyone would expect McGinn to come in and be a direct replacement.

I always forget about kouassi, he could be the one to take over, certainly showed early flashes, what would concern me is that he is a young lad and if he progressed well enough and someone like say west Brom offer 2/ 3 times the wages would he stay? For the duration that broonie has, I doubt it.

I think John mcginn would be a fantastic signing for us he reminds me Phil o'Donnell minus the injury issue's.

As Armstrong is likely off, I see this as an affordable like-for-like replacement. He's got goals from the midfield, as we learned, and plays with determination. I still think Ntcham and Kouassi are the way to go for us in middle of the park, and I can't see him sidelining either long or medium term.

02 Oct 2017 21:40:27
Played Ntcham off the park Saturday. But if Lennon valued him at £5m and said his double probably put a few million on his price tag then can't see us paying £7m for him. Could be Kouassi and McGregor playing there in a few years time if Armstrong leaves and Broony retires.

When is kouassi due back anyway?
