With dembele and Griffith's I can see the reason for bringing in a loan striker. What I am concerned about is the centre half situation. I really hope with the money we have we go out and buy a good quality centre half and not a loan deal for that position.

If we are going down loan avenue yet again it is a real slap in the face for a manager who has negotiated three tricky CL qualifiers two seasons running - bringing vast amounts of revenue (and exposure) which should be used in part to improve the team and address our obvious weaknesses.

If this is true about the young French guy and denayer then we've been took for mugs yet again by lawell and the board! The money they've raked in from last seasons CL and will get from this year along with the prices they'r charging for CL packages and the best they can do is some young guy from psg and defender who's had more loans than sevco and who slaughtered Scottish football after the last time he was here! Shocking as usual! But I'm in no way shocked, same old Shoite! CL club, don't make me laugh!

3 loans after reaching the CL again would be pretty cheap. BR has already said he's not a big fan of them. Any truth in Denayer stories Ed?

Not a fan of loans either, but we tried to sign a defender only for him to fail a medical, which leaves us in an awkward position, so a loan might be the only option at this stage.

a defender from south african league for 750k isn't what most where hoping we would be buying with all the money brought in.
{Ed007's Note - Maybe we should have spent £3 million on an injury prone player who'd managed a massive 10 league games in Russia his entire career and what, 4? games for us in 18 months. The Coetzee fee was £800k btw.

Reports now that Denayer won't be joining, probably see a few more names over tonight, hopefully anyway, think we need a ST and CB personally.
