After 2 hectic days sightseeing with my cousin's family and then Wednesday's game had a quiet time today (we are all knackered lol) but our Irish/ American visitors want to see Loch Lomond which we plan to do tomorrow, Mrs T was about to also say LOCH NESS, until I kicked her under the table lol.
Then on Sunday my cousin wants to visit The Barras, I tried to tell him to keep his childhood memories as the Barras is dying a slow death but he wants his wife and daughter to see it, he also remembers the old sweetie shop there that sold all the old fashioned sweets, Glickmans I think it is called.
I almost choked on my toast when he also said he wanted to visit The SARACENS HEAD pub. He has rosy memories of the Sara as a teenager, again I tried to tell him that the pub these days was "less salubrious" than he imagined. (Sorry Pat)
The girls have also persuaded him to try a deep fried mars bar coated in batter, his daughter was persuaded to try a lorne sausage sandwich also luvely grub ha ha.

Funnily enough was just reading an interview by Mani from the Stone Roses who said he was drinking in Bairds Bar the afternoon of their Glasgow Green gig in 1990 with Crew member Meety who was showing his Man Utd tattoo to the locals. He was told to go do it in the Saracen Head and see how long he would last.
Bought many a CD in there after a game. The Holy Goalie and Big Eck must stay 2 favourites of mine.
