Before all the love to moan brigade write their 200 word posts declaring the end of the world , this is a really simple situation. Celtic will accept any bid of 25-30 million for dembele, rightly so, if he wants to go he will go if not he will stay for another season. The management will have a replacement lined up I guarantee you of that .

Agree2 Disagree0

There were people moaning last year when we were linked with Scott Sinclair calling him a dud and what a season he had for us. It's always going to happen players move on and it would be foolish if BR and his team hadent thought about replacements we have only finished a week ago after a terrific season we will be stronger again come August.

Let's not call folk panty wetters.

Celtic should be light years ahead of SPL team and should have been making progress in Europe if our board didn't take the cheap options of late.

Under BR, expectation was we are now thinking like a big club, signing 2 top players and both have been superb this year. Dembele leaving was always on the cards and I do hope it's AC Milan he goes too and not Chelsea or Dortmund. Now Hayes in my opinion is not thinking like a big club, it says it all when your competitors to sign him are all lower level championship teams.

Celtic must sign players 3 levels better than Hayes to make progress in Europe otherwise we finish bottom with no wins for a 2nd year running if we get to the champions league.

That's the balance / problem we have to bridge kev. Sinclair sums it up (correct me if memory wrong) great in spl but 0 goals 0 assists in europe.

Didn't realise that DRB.

Sinclair is miles ahead of Hayes as well.

Knight rider her I am not sure how anyone can quarantee that they can have as good a replacement lined up for Dembele .
Even if we spend every penny we get for Dembele, on a new striker we could find within 3 -6 months that the new striker was a poor imitation for Dembele .

I find this talk of Dembele moving on or leaving, especially by Celtic fans very tiresome as Dembele has said often enough he didn't want to go and the club have said he was going nowhere this season .
MSSM see it as their duty to upset any Celtic fan gullible enough to be upset as Rangers2012 have no money to buy.

If Hayes is signed then any hope that I had about moving up a gear takes a swift boot in the Charlie's.

Thanks kev t. Iam not wetting my pants lol, what a childish phrase. I just worry that the board understand our fanatical support, our passion. They know we all love and idolise BR. That's what gets me as lawwell doesn't care about us honest. That's why people like him get so far in life believe everything I know and have seen from personal experience. Albeit dif parameters.

He will be sitting thinking right we have a talented manager here who can within reason get something out of players others can't, but let's be real here is not a magician. And they will think oh we can get mediocre potential targets for cheaper price and develope them. This needs to stop at present I feel. I

know it will always be our business model, but last 16 needs significant investment in the squad, well should say be buying players who can make an I stant impact. And yes we can afford it. Celtic have made millions this season alone from fans. We deserve better. We are not saying win the cl guys, or compete with real etc. but let's try forget some momentum going here.

Do you think Rodgers came in to buy players like Hayes, after loosing Roberts. No I don't believe so. He knows our constraints, but we can't keep expecting him to produce miracles. I feel lawwell is a leech in that he gets every last drop he can with as little input as possible.

If we sign Hayes, maybe it is because B Rodgers is confident that he can improve Hayes in the same way as he has improved most if not all the players he inherited at Celtic . It appears that some of our fans haven't improved . Still live in the dark old days of criticising for the sake of criticising.
