Right lads, we all know how proud we are as supporters and as a Club of our charitable ways but please take two minutes of your day to go on the Liverpool 'Other Posts' and read Ed001's post and please feel free to share it far and wide.
BTW we're not asking you for money or that unless you feel the need to donate, it's just just how a club the size of Liverpool treat their support.

That makes for uncomfortable reading. FSG should hang their heads in shame.

Please put up a link to the funding page (if it exists, if not it might be a good idea to start one if someone knows how? ) .

Mental health issues are reaching epidemic levels. It is reassuring that recent steps have been taken at Government level to address the shortfall in services, but it is only the first steps.

I have experience of illnesses such as depression through work and on a personal level, and would not wish it on my enemy. I have seen firsthand how it dismantles lives and families and it is heartbreaking.

Corporations such as FSG should be leading by example. Like others running our clubs they have shown as massive disconnect with the support. Worse still they have shown a lack of human decency and have put the bottom line before common values. For goodness sake we are talking about a football shirt or a ball! Something they could take from the club shop and ask the players to sign at training and cover the small postage fee.

Reading the comments you couldn't help but feel sorry for their brilliant supporter's who have dealt with so much in recent years. They are disgusted but should in no way feel "ashamed to be associated to the club" as their Ed stated. I can tell they are angry but this is in no way a reflection of them.

I wish the charities well in their endeavours.

{Ed001's Note - it is sickening mate. Added on top of them allowing the S*n back into Anfield, it is difficult times to follow Liverpool. The link to the donation page is here: justgiving page thank you if you do donate, but could you leave a message to say where you saw it as she wants to thank everyone. This is her first attempt to do anything like this and it is really helping her deal with her grief, I think, and thanking people is something she really wants to do.}

read it, pretty shocking - they employ whole departments to deal with their charitable face - and what do these employees do - get paid to write refusal letters.

I have a mate to works for a charity - he emailed celtic and rangers. Only rangers replied. He wanted people inside with collecting tins.

Ibrox said come along - only stipulation is that you bring 20 people to make it worth your while.

So he asked me to go help and I obliged.

We met at 2.15 at matchday at door whatever, they took inside and gave us a quick H&S briefing. then we were put into position next the burger places etc.

I slag em to death - but to a man woman and child - everyone stopped and dropped some change into my bucket.

I also tried to do a Testicular Cancer Awareness thing at Celtic Park 3 years ago - still waiting for Jules Walsh to get back to me.

{Ed007's Note - Well TRIFC replied to Ed001's friend with a signed, top, ball and picture which blows Phil's fantasy exclusive today about them charging for them.}

{Ed007's Note - There's nobody that hasn't been affected with mental health problems whether it's yourself or a friend or a family member. The girl has started a funding page:

justgiving page

Remember nobody's under any obligation or pressure to donate and only give what you can afford.
And remember, if you're out there struggling, no matter how bad things feel or look to you there's people out there who care and can help you. The hardest thing is taking that first step and admit you need help, talk to your GP, talk to your brother, shit you can even message me if you need to get things off your chest and it will all be private. There's absolutely no shame in it and there is plenty of help out there.}

the sun allowed back into anfield ed001? that's a disgrace, there should be a fans boycott until they are shown the door again, along with with no one buying merchandise from the club shops.

{Ed001's Note - there is a march by Shun The S*n due to take place soon. That is only going to be the start of the problems if the powers that be at Liverpool do not start listening to the fans. There are so many simple little things they could do to get the fans onside, but they continue to belligerently butt heads against them. As has been shown time and time again, owners never win against the fans. They simply can't because without the fans they own nothing.}

ED001/ ED007 read the post by Michelle and saw the "public relations" letter what a cold reply.
I have made a small donation and will try to give more when funds allow.
@bighandforjeremybeadle, head up mate and hope things are better for you, looking forward to your Cheltenham tips also hail hail.

{Ed007's Note - As always, Timbo, you are a true gentleman.}

i can't believe that they would ever let they sewer rats THE SCUM anywhere near anfield after what they had "IMPLIED" happened at hillsborough its a disgusting kick in the teeth to the poor already heartbroken families of the 96, maybe it will need to take something like kenny dalglish resigning his ambassador role to make FSG sit up and take notice of how disgusting this is, believe me ed001 fans protest groups do make a difference i was part of the celts for change movement in the 90s who removed the old inept board at celtic, if there's no fans in the ground or in the club shops they will soon get the message what the fans want, im proud of the part the celtic fans have always played in supporting justice for the 96 they will never walk alone.

{Ed001's Note - I am in full agreement with you mate. Thank you. I really hope FSG will get the message, but they seem to think they are being hard done to because they are foreign, rather than bothering to look at the actual issues. If they continue to just dismiss fan concerns the way they are, it is just going to get worse.}

Global branding, big business models, prawn sandwiches,

It's sad to see fans being fleeced day in day out and then slapped in the face.

Just read ed001s post can't quite believe he's talking about Liverpool. appalling state of affairs they should be ashamed.

07 Feb 2017 21:57:19
All good these days lads but thanks for the sentiment. Back to the original post and comments.

I am shocked and appalled that Liverpool let The Sun back in to Anfield. That rag makes me sick. Whether it be Hillsborough, their "Irish Bastards", their call to hang the Birmingham Six, phone hacking or the many other scandals.

We had a family shop when I was a teenager and we stopped selling it. They are the lowest of the low. I would even check the date on the paper twice if I read it to make sure it was true.

Thank you for posting the link Ed. I will share it among my familyou, friends and colleagues and ask them to help.

Tim cheers for the message mate. I am actually going to be at Cheltenham this year but I will still check in and hopefully we can sort a few winners out.

Chelle asked me to thank you all and post this for her:

Hi Guys,
First of all I would like to thank each and everyone of you for all your kindness and support and the amazing donations. I personally can't thank you enough. My uncle was the foundation of our family and touched so many lives, some from the brink of suicide. I have had so many wonderful messages from people greatful for James coming into there lives when he did, we had no ideas just how many, he was a very humble man, I just wish there was many more of him about who would actually put others before themselves. I wanted to turn his passing into something positive by carrying on his legacy to help others, and without the kindness of people like YOU it wouldn't be possible. So from my heart to yours a very big THANKYOU. No one is ever alone so please reach out if you ever need the help and never feel ashamed
Love Chelle x
