Loving the football being played at the moment. That performance last night reminded me a lot on how German teams play. Fast and direct passing and very energetic up to the last ten minutes. Inevitably, Hamilton decided to throw players forward at the end but we coped well apart from a couple of tired looking relapses. Griffs had a great game and looked to be on his best behavior. Not bad night at the office but 1-0 is always a bit dodgy for the sucker punch.

Are you sure you weren't on the German beer as last night was a poor performance. Yes we could have won by more but it was below par from everyone except Roberts imo. We will have games like that in all seasons but main thing we won and we move on to Saturday and will probably get a better performance from the team.

Last night there were a few off the boil and we made a bit heavy weather against an opponent that came to defend with ten behind the ball - hoping not to get hammered.
It wasn't our usual high standard and the system seemed to stifle Rogic and Armstrong until later in the game and showed why BR rarely plays two up front?
Dembele really needs a wee break and with Tierney, Sinclair and the Forrest coming back, maybe a couple can take a rest before the winter break - when they can all recharge the batteries in preparation for the run-in.

I was on Coors last night Jim! I didn't say it was a brilliant performance but we have most definitely improved under Brendan Rodgers. There looks to me a real team mentality going on. I admit that there was a lot of huff and puff without much of an end product but the passing game Brendan is working on is mostly coming off. We are not the finished product, not by a long way but there are mostly positives about our style of play. If we get some quality in place after January then we should hopefully have the treble winning team in place ready for the CL qualifiers. Good times ahead!

I wasn't too happy with last night's performance . LG, M D, and SA were all too careless in front of goal . The referee was definitely anti Celtic and I thought he deprived us of two penalties . First half I thought Roberts was taken down and in a secondary movement defender got a touch on ball . Near the end L G was dragged to ground and ref wandered up and gave free out . In fact in last 15 mins or so with Celtic only one nil up ref gave numerous frees to Hamilton and tried to not give any to Celtic

The over- all feeling I had after last night's game was fine we won but if we played the same way on the 31st we probably only win by two or three goals.

Ibrox will be intimidating. It will be a tough fixture. They don't lose there Old Bhoy ( 32 and counting I'm told )

They will kick and snarl and rush and get the stadium jumping. This is there cup final and a chance for some long lasting winter cheer

So complacency in that fixture is the enemy as would be a lack of intensity

With a good referee and good discipline and the right mentality we win because we're better BUT Ibrox is nonetheless a challenging venue

I see high kicks and elbows and diving and cheating., for them it will be ANY WAY and ANY HOW and BY ANY MEANS

If they drop points per 31st and lose to CFC I can see a change in bread delivery personnel
BRs popularity on the other hand would go stratospheric with a romp in their backyard.

stuff of champions to play badly and still win.

Champions find ways to win.

Them game on the 31st is between a good all round team with good back - up players for most positions . This team Celtic is well coached fit &swell capable of changing tactics . We play a Rangers team, made up of sub standard footballers, signed as out of contract players from lower league teams . Players in their mid to late 30's who in their own minds had retired and always injured unwanted players in late teen& early twenties .
This match should be no contest, but in Scotland nothing is simple and referees have eyes in the back of their heads and complicate things for Celtic . We should win easily but u never know.

that is what I was getting at Tompo88…. this will be a one way blood fest IMVHO with Rangers deploying hammer throwing tactics in the hope that the crowd will intimidate the ref…. and the ref will turn many many blind eyes …

they can't get close to us on a straight head to head, and so you'll see kick and rush and nips and dives and everything that football shouldn't involve

this is just my view / feeling of why awaits us

but to win there handsomely would be a great statement.
