I read that Aberdeen have been given a 50/ 50 split of the tickets for the league cup final.
I can never see the fairness in one team getting more tickets than the capacity of their ground whereas the other team has to have half their season ticket holders unable to go.
A couple of years ago Aberdeen had 40,000 odd at Celtic park for their final against Inverness, there's probably over 20,000 of them who haven't been to a match since, I don't think that it's right that these people are given priority over supporters who follow their team and put money into the game.
I should be okay for the final, but I feel for fans who support their team week in week out yet have to miss out to so called fans who only seem to appear when there is a cup at stake.

{Ed007's Note - We had 20,165 at the Motherwell game and 15,900 at the Alloa match so we've got our own fair share of fans that only come out for the 'big' games, Gerry.
In the interests of fairness I'd hope that those that attended the earlier rounds are given priority for the final.}

Gerry I don't have a problem with the sheep getting half the tickets imo they deserve it . They regularly take a very decent support to Edinburgh Glasgow etc every second week. Its teams like St Mirren, Motherwell, St Johnstone etc that don't deserve half the stadium for cup finals.

I accept that ED, but at least a lot of the supporters who didn't go to the Alloa or Motherwell games still attend matches.
Where I think it's wrong is that a lot of Aberdeen fans who don't go to any matches other than finals seem to have more entitlement to the tickets than fans who actually go to matches.
Two years ago Aberdeen were quite happy to have five or six times as many tickets as Inverness as they had more fans, it just seems wrong to me that when the roles are reversed they don't want to apply the same rules.

{Ed007's Note - I just don't understand why Celtic supporters that weren't at any the previous rounds should get any priority over Aberdeen fans that weren't at any previous rounds? The simple fact is that you never please everyone with ticket allocations, it's a nightmare even trying to do it on a supporter's bus never mind the moaning faced sods - not you of course :-p - in the whole support.
So why not give Aberdeen their allowance and then any they don't sell give as extra to Celtic?}

They deserve their tickets just the same as us. They worked hard to get their same as us.

Aberdeen will sell out their allocation, that's the difference.
