Bottom line regardless of the better team won or not arguement (and I'd suggest they did) the game would have finished 0-0 apart from two absolute howlers by one player and had we turned up they were beatable. Given Toure was brought in to bring us experience in Europe I would think last night brings to an end the Toure fan club and hope given his age that we let him go at end of season. It was worth a punt but ultimately together with De Vries Toure is a failed experiment in my opinion. Shame the atmosphere didn't get anywhere near the heights of the Man City game but it is also up to the team to excite the crowd and despite our efforts they failed to do that.

Get a grip, we are arguably only there because of Toure. He made a mistake and it cost us a match. It happens.

Sorry I disagree yes Toure made 2 howlers but I still think he is good for the team.

Think your a tad harsh on toure there. Ok he made 2 huge mistakes last night costing us 2 goals but up until that I don't think he's put a foot wrong domestically and in Europe. At least the big man had the balls to come straight off the park, right into an interview and admit to his f##k ups. for years we've watched players hide after poor performances and howlers.

JFK your talking pish regarding toure
He made mistakes- costly mistakes but he has class.
I personally hope Simo becomes 1st pick but to say toure is a failure is well off the mark.

Last night we were beaten by a solid hard working disciplined German team who had done there homework and had a game plan

Our team is developing and will learn from last night as will the manager

For me bitton is the week link.

Island celt. get a grip or I disagree or your a tad harsh as the poetpatient tony and gary have said I can accept but talking pish brother? If our man Toure doesn't have two monumental feckn howlers is the game 0-0 and Celtic have a point or am I missing something and was watching the wrong game? Agreed best team won as I said and also agreed Biton is weak link as despite his skill he has no heart! We don't need Toure to win league and he shat in the European nest last night. down the road with him 🍀.

Everyone makes mistakes, as the saying goes the man that never made a mistake never made anything, Toure transformed the team since he came in, he is a superb player of the highest standard that had an off night, the more telling statistic of the first half is that Celtic had more possesion but did nothing with it because they are wanting in creativity in midfield, that is where the problem lies, Biton does nothing for creativity in midfield.

although Brendan Rodgers wants even his defensive midfielders to be creative, Biton's primary role is to prevent opponents running at and passing through the midfield . Biton didn't do that well and IMO we would have been better served with either McGregor or Henderson both capable defensive midfielders . It's easy to be wise after the event.

Two mistakes and the experiment has failed? Dear oh dear, get real. No player is perfect in every game, not even Henrik who had a few misses in his time but the positives wiped them away. Did big Toure let his head go down at any stage? No, he got on with his job and imo had a good night apart from the obvious. We were beaten by a better team on the night (with a little bit of our help granted) Toure was not the only player having a bad night but what's done is done. we move on. I have not given up on third place but it will be a mountain now. hail hail.

I don't think Toure was a failed experiment. I think the experiment was that we stumped up his wages to get us into the groups of the CL. And it worked. Since Jozo stayed I'd like to see him and Sviatchenko given time to get a relationship going. Jozo to me looks like our best prospect at CB. And then perhaps we won't need to take up the option on Toure, but bring in another younger CB, or see a youngster given an opportunity, we'll see. But Toure will still feature. Anybody that has watched the EPL over the past decade will know he does have moments like that in him, as most CBs do, but that was a particularly bad game. Generally though he's streets ahead of the alternatives we had when we signed him.

Jim Tim. Toure has served us very well . First half on Wednesday night he was superb and put in some wonderful last ditch tackles .
2nd half was all so different .
I think Jozo and Eric should form a very good partnership.

By the way I was well pleased with Gordon's first half performance . He got many opportunities to make decent saves and he made them . I think he was in some kind of a daze for the first goal that beat him . Maybe he should have stopped it but I think he can't move his feet the right way under pressure, or in a panic. He doesn't often rescue defenders from their mistakes.

Toure has been a great addition to the team not just performance wise but due to the experience he brings to the side one bad game against a really good side may i add is not enough for him to warrant abuse or to get slated, he will go on and have a great season in my opinion and i also think he may suffer slightly from missing games etc due to him being rested etc. Our main problem is the middle of the park we need real quality brought in there alongside brown Biton is a luxury at times and as much as i like big Rogic he has no legs and his inability to last a full game at his age is baffling, Mcgregor is decent but is agheadless chicken at times and nothing more than a squad player for me i would like to see BR try both DemPele and Griffiths up top espec domestically as we would steam roller sides and Griffiths deserves to b involved as much as DemPele doesn't deserve to be dropped.
But at the end of the day people need to be real and remember how bad we were under Delia and how far we have come with one transfer window with very little outlay . I for one believe that BR knows what we need and i'm confident he will get it James McCarthy would be the answer but obvious the chances of that happening are slim to none. KEEP THE FAITH n let's get these horrible bastards pumped tomorrow, Hail Hail.
