My thoughts on the disgraceful performance of the referee
Having just watched the EPL and the sending off at Arsenal, I wonder why Lasley and Moult were not red carded in our game, Lasley was not even considered a foul. Disgraceful. There was also two penalty claims with the Scott Brown claim a definate shout, you cannot jeck back like that without being pulled back. The fact that the celtic players accepted these decisions without real complaint is testomony to the realization that they will not be given.
How long are we going to accept this standard before the SFA act, The quicker video replays are introduced then these bigots will be excluded from our game. A few years ago we sent shockwaves through the Establishment when we told them this was not going to continue and we got a level playing field for a few seasons however with the "return" of servco they are returning to the same old ways.

Moult is a bit of a mad dog.

I don't foresee a time when whatever evidence is available that this evidence won't have to be viewed by human eye and if that eye is biased, bigoted or whatever the viewer will see what he wants.

There are certainly some referees who make more 'honest mistakes' than others, but to be fair, I seem to remember, we had a couple of favourable decisions in two games at the start of the season.
The standard of refereeing in Scotland is particularly poor every week and any consolation from yesterday's incompetence was that no-one was seriously injured and of course, we won the game comfortably.
I agree with OB that video evidence can also be 'inconclusive' - for example, the difference of opinion of Chris Sutton and Steven Craigan watching incident replays during games every week would prove that.

Guys we really have to move on from this.
Have we forgotten what happened at inverness already when erik should have went and they could a had a penalty (arguably outside the box) .
Dembele offside at Man City game as well, these were 2 HUGE decisions that went for us.

Any decisions yesterday had no bearing on the game, in fact I can barely remember the ref yesterday which usually means he had a good game.
Also didn't Brown get booked for putting the ball at the guys face at the throw in, didn't look serious but a ref could easily have interpreted that as a sending off.

When you watch a game on TV, try to make your judgement the moment you see an incident and then check if you got it right after you see numerous replays. This will show you how hard it is to get every decision right. Also look at referees position when incident occurs and see if he got a good view.

The only ref who I have observed consistent bad decisions going against us, is from Craig Thompson.

What I would like to say though is that referees should not be allowed to ref a match involving the team they support or that teams rivals. The reason I say that is because of something called "group bias" and even when someone tries to be impartial, they often sub-consciously favour their own group.

Did anyone see the penalty given by Deane today, The Rangers are the only team in Scotland that would get one as soft.

Talking of bad decisions the ref in the Southampton burnley game failed to see a pen when big virgil brought down the burnley player and he was looking straight at it and these guys are full time.

All well n good rab, but how many impartial people are there in scotland never mind refs. If your getting at foreign refs u might be onto something but unless clubs are willing to stump up some cash it won't happen. The sfa will never admit their refs are crap.
