Does anyone else agree with Roy Keane? I certainly do, especially with the whole hugging each other after scraping through. Only difference with the Molde game last year was that sloppy hands Gordon saved a penalty.

You seen the amount of stick our team gets when we don't qualify? Why not celebrate as a player they want to play in big games and our group doesn't half deliver. Also players like Griffiths who have never experienced it before and actually mentioned during qualifying that he felt he was a jinx when I came to the champions league. Its massive for our club and our fans. If you think their celebration was ott you should have seen me and mates and we didn't need to put in the graft that our players did.

no, loved RK as a player and know this might upset our Ed but think he's talking mince, we celebrated getting thru the tie and into the champs league for 1st time in yrs, with basically the same squad that failed the previous seasons, also RK done the same when ireland got thru, so can't see how he can say one thing whilst doing another. love that he says what he feels but think he was wrong to say it, just my feelings tbh, also HBS showed they can play a bit with previous results and we put 5 past them at CP.

{Ed007's Note - Nah, I think Keane's called this one wrong too mate, of course we should celebrate qualifying for the CL - has he ever had a pop at Arsenal or Wenger for celebrating 4th place in the PL and only getting into the qualifiers for the CL nearly every year for a decade?
Just watch how Klopp and the Liverpool players react this season if they can finish in the top 4 and qualify for the CL.}

Ed in your opinion do you think its sour grapes for not getting the celtic job?

{Ed007's Note - After turning the job down I doubt it, he's simply giving his opinion on something.}

I'm with everybody so far.

Like bhoywonder I love Keane, and that he isn't afraid to have a go or say what he sees. Makes great listening/ reading either way.

But he's wrong on this count. Although, we should as a club have done more to qualify regularly. But there's no harm in celebrating ANY win.

Sometimes I think he might just like to be controversial to keep up his image of being controversial. A very entertaining player and character, nonetheless. He's even got us talking.

Fair enough, just asking for opinions, but tbh I do think it's over the top celebrating like that scraping through. Obv celevrate a bit but not like we've won the thing when we've scraped through against a poor Israeli team.

17 Sep 2016 13:04:12
they aren't poor at all gerry imo, they just walloped inter and reckon they will do southampton also, watch the media circus kick into overdrive if that happens, how can you celebrate a bit pal?, you either celebrate or you dont.

17 Sep 2016 13:11:15
If it's not worth celebrating why were so many people hounding our last 'manager' for not doing so?

17 Sep 2016 13:44:08
Qualifying shouldn't be such a big deal but due to a complete absence of ambition for the last few tears it is

Roy shoukd have a we look back at him and Mon looking like they needed a room after Ireland qualified.

17 Sep 2016 13:44:17
What's the difference Keane and Ireland celebrating qualifying for euros as if they'd won it, starting to go right off him.

17 Sep 2016 14:09:23
Keane was practically crying when Ireland made the euros.

Fair point JimTim, but most of them are the same ones that'll eat every bit of suttons words - regards RD. I'm all for success but I would much rather be celebrating competing somewhere where we actually compete. Just my views and we're not anywhere near a champions league team (to make any progress) so until money gets invested I would rather be competing rather than getting horsed. And plus it brings out the best 'victory' in the world bullshit about beating Barcelona at home! That win didn't amount to anything apart from lennons ego.

17 Sep 2016 15:10:04
Hail Hail to that Gerry.

17 Sep 2016 16:06:32
Looks like GerryBhoy is in the minority. Celebrate success and it's a fact that we successfully won through to the CL proper and that was the objective. If Keane or others thought they over celebrated they should have seen me on that night. Sadly Keane seems to think I and others value his opinion; I don't nor ever did.

17 Sep 2016 17:09:49
Roy who?
Decent player
crap manager
not really interested in his opinion of my team.

17 Sep 2016 20:25:12
The only reason Keane turned down the Celtic job was because he wanted to be given the job and not be in competition with other candidates for the job
He didn't want to risk rejection.

17 Sep 2016 23:18:30
Opinions are like bottoms
every body has one.

Just up to Roy if he decides to talk out of his.

18 Sep 2016 08:38:18
Why does anyone on here care what Roy Keane says or any pundit to be fair. Make up your OWN minds in if we overly celebrated or not.
